AutoCAD 2010 :: Explode Excel Table But Keep Table-layout And Texts
Mar 14, 2013In our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Why Texts That Have Same Textstyle Don’t Change
Feb 15, 2012Why the texts that have the same "Textstyle" don’t change as the settings of the style change?
For example, suppose that particular texts have the T1 as text style. Then why if we change the value of “paper text height” of the T1 then the texts (that belong to this style) don’t respond?
At the same time, this behavior is valid pertaining the dimension style, i.e, if we change the text height of the dimension style then the dimension text responds and is changed!

AutoCAD 2013 :: Yellow To Blue Color Change Before Plotting
Feb 5, 2013I am working on drawings in which some of the text is in yellow which is great on a black background. After printing the yellow becomes very hard to see on white paper. I know I know I could change the color of the layer before plotting but I was hoping for a seamless way of doing it. Is there a way to display colors in yellow and plot in blue similar to white/black?

Aug 5, 2012Downloaded .jpeg image of simple Olympic Rings. Using PS in CS6 I can change every ring to a different color except the black ring. It turns gray no matter how I use the adjuments/replace color function. Is this a PS thing ?.

It comes in with the truetype font even though it is assigned to a table style that utilizes an shx font and the correct text style is assigned when I double click in the cell. AutoCAD Inventor :: Change File Name Column In IPart Table?
Jul 25, 2013We are using Inventor and Vault pro 2013.
I have an iPart in which I want to change the File Name Column from "Member" to "Part Number". These columns are not the same and makes the filenames for the members different when generated.
The challenge is that I already have about 100 members generated and used in different assemblies. I want these to be replaced by the new files and be deleted.
If I change the File Name Column I will get 100 new files (ipart members) that is not used anywhere. The only way I know of to replace the 100 "old" members is to do this in Vault - one by one..

In the front of my drawings i have a view tables. in the second column stays a code that represent a location.
e.g. LVC stays for Low voltage cubicle. Now it is my intention to substitute these code to the description of code in one time and only the second column. The several descriptions are written in an .txt file, like LVC;Low voltage cubicle and on the next row LVP;Low voltage panel, and so on.
I think it is only possible with Lisp? or there are other way?
In the past i did it one by one, because mostly there where 2 or 3 tables, now i have a big project with more than 20 tables.

If you change the sheet size the revision table remains his position.
If found the way to reposition the table with a ilogic rule.:

This is working perfectly. But now the challange how to trigger this rule to run if you change the sheet size?
if tried:

or
to create a userparameter and added this line in my rule : Size=ActiveSheet.size, normaly is you change parameters it triggers the rule to rule. but both way didn't work.
Can event triggers from the API be used? Do i need the "Onchange" event? Any example for a ilogic rule?
AutoCAD 2013 :: How To Get Both Texts To Be Same
Sep 11, 2013I have received a drawing from an external source where there appears to be duplicates of various texts.
If I check the properties of the texts individually it appears the text is say P14, if I select both texts and list properties the result is varies. I have never seen this before and I would like to know how to get both texts to be the same.

Mar 15, 2012The angle or radius are outside the table boundaries. I have used bend tables before and have not run into this. See screenshot. What I don't understand is that in the error dialog box the Thickness is correct the Radii are correct and the Angle is correct except it is showing a -90 degrees. Is that the problem? The negetive? Why is it showing a negative number. I can't change the way the part is formed. The problem seems to be with the lower left hand curl. It does go ahead and flatten it, but I don't trust the results when I have the three errors.

Feb 23, 2012Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.

Oct 16, 2013I have a part where I have placed a number of table driven iFeatures. These features generate parameters in the model that I can see in the parameter table. I am trying to find a way to have these iFeature parameters show up in the hole table in my drawing.
By 'exporting' the parameters, I have been able to get the values to show in notes and drawing view labels but I can't find a way to add them as a 'New Property' in my hole table.

The pipes are polylines with parameters on OD Tabels.On Display Manager, i'm creating a style based on text in order to display the diameter of each pipe.So far so good. The problem is to find out how to place the text entities in a more intuitive position, that is, near the middle point of the polyline, with the correct angle.
On the "Position" and "Rotation" properties of the text style, what should i define in order tho achieve this? The ".labelpt, .Center, .X1Y1..." options do not produce the desired results.

Sure, in the AutoCAD, I can force the text to have the same x-coordinate to align them or other kind of work around, but why we don’t have this as a command like what we have in the ArcGIS?
