Jun 25, 2012if CS5 can be moved from windows to a mac? Or, being you are allowed to install on 2 machines have it installed under both platforms with one license?

Photoshop :: Why Can't I Move My Windows!?
Jun 19, 2008Using Photoshop CS3 on Windows Vista.
Whenever I open an image in Photoshop, it's locked in the top left corner of the application window. I can't drag it anywhere.
The only way I can make it movable is to switch to the "Basic" workspace. Then if I switch back to the default workspace, it stays movable.

Dec 4, 2013Why would a window be movable by dragging but not movable by changing the temporary dimension? It's not pinned.
It works fine for the walls, but no matter what I put in the dimension value it won't budge the window an inch.
Is it an error in my family or is there something wrong with the project? I've been having a lot of problems with this one. I feel like it's all the funny angles, but the window and the door are in the same freaking wall so why should that matter?

I have not grouped any layers together.

Jan 14, 2013I am using the trial version of CS5 (probably going to upgrade at the end of the trial), and I've only found one thing about it that I don't like more than CS3. This is VERY VERY annoying, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or just a preference that needs to be reset:
When using the move tool, I will move something and it will just snap back to where it originally was. When it snaps back, it might move a few pixels over in the direction I was dragging, but it is definitely not moving to where I want it to go. The only way to get things to move the way I want to is by Free Transform...but it's annoying, when you're trying to design a layout, to have to free transform every element you want to move, first.
I'm guessing that this is a glitch because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...it's pretty random. I've tried turning Snap on and off, and nothing changes.

Dec 9, 2012So a friend created a model using zbrush and exported several different *.OBJ files. I imported those to maya and added shaders. They all fit correctly together when imported.
some of those obj files required me to do a mesh->combine. so now it appears that not every item has the same reference point so that when I move or scale the entire item, some of the objects move seperately. I think it is only the ones I had to combine.
I tried freeze transformations, but when doing that, some of the objects lost their scale settings and still didnt move together as one unit.

Dec 24, 2012What happened to the option/enter command in the move object dialog that has been around since the early days of Illustrator??? Instead of having to mouse click the "copy" button in the move object window, one could just hold down option with Return or Enter and the Copy command would happen rather than a simple move. Immensely useful for prepress work!

Jan 10, 2012This just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.
SDI is set to 0
Taskbar is set to 0
Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008. (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?

Apr 9, 2009Photoshop C3 was installed on a PC for a company user about a year ago. that user left and someone else took over the job function and the PC.Now the current user got a new PC and I need to move Photoshop to it.
Of course since the original install all paperwork is gone, don't know where the CD key is and when I try to install from the CD the shared components install ok but Photoshop components always fail. Also the deactivate option is grayed out.Any suggestions how to get the app from one PC to another?
I have the purchasing person for my company looking through old records.I also have an idea that the install files from our server may not need a CD key? It's been a year and I don't remember how it was install.

May 23, 2012In CS5, the options bar stayed above my toolbar and pallettes, so that my second monitor was free of all tools. Just the image.
But with CS6, it seems the options bar has been moved to the top of my image monitor.
Is there a way to force the options bar back above the tools on my other monitor?!
Photoshop :: GIFs Just Won't Move
Sep 3, 2012so I made a gif. and it just won't move. it works fine when I open it but once I show the layers (other than the first layer), it stops moving and I can't get it to move again. it doesn't move in photoshop, nor when I save it as a gif. I need to show the layers to be able to auto tone though.
