Photoshop C3 was installed on a PC for a company user about a year ago. that user left and someone else took over the job function and the PC.Now the current user got a new PC and I need to move Photoshop to it.
Of course since the original install all paperwork is gone, don't know where the CD key is and when I try to install from the CD the shared components install ok but Photoshop components always fail. Also the deactivate option is grayed out.Any suggestions how to get the app from one PC to another?
I have the purchasing person for my company looking through old records.I also have an idea that the install files from our server may not need a CD key? It's been a year and I don't remember how it was install.
I am using the trial version of CS5 (probably going to upgrade at the end of the trial), and I've only found one thing about it that I don't like more than CS3. This is VERY VERY annoying, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or just a preference that needs to be reset:
When using the move tool, I will move something and it will just snap back to where it originally was. When it snaps back, it might move a few pixels over in the direction I was dragging, but it is definitely not moving to where I want it to go. The only way to get things to move the way I want to is by Free Transform...but it's annoying, when you're trying to design a layout, to have to free transform every element you want to move, first.
I'm guessing that this is a glitch because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...it's pretty random. I've tried turning Snap on and off, and nothing changes.
So a friend created a model using zbrush and exported several different *.OBJ files. I imported those to maya and added shaders. They all fit correctly together when imported.
some of those obj files required me to do a mesh->combine. so now it appears that not every item has the same reference point so that when I move or scale the entire item, some of the objects move seperately. I think it is only the ones I had to combine.
I tried freeze transformations, but when doing that, some of the objects lost their scale settings and still didnt move together as one unit.
What happened to the option/enter command in the move object dialog that has been around since the early days of Illustrator??? Instead of having to mouse click the "copy" button in the move object window, one could just hold down option with Return or Enter and the Copy command would happen rather than a simple move. Immensely useful for prepress work!
If I have a dynamic block of a window. I can move either side of the block but the basepoint doesn't move. Is there a way to move the basepoint as well so its not off in space? or just delete it and have it now shown?
In the example below, I would like to select the three dimensions 14'-1 3/8's, 2', 28' and be able to move them all up or down at the same time...how do I do that?
is there a way to move everything in every layer at once quickly without having to link everything together? im a noob at photoshop and i know this is probably very easy
I am trying to move my pictures in Photoshop starter edition 3.0 to my new computer. There are 6,000 pictures and I cannot find where they are. I also need a new version of Photoshop to import them into but do not know what is compatable.
I need to move my CS4 suite to my new Mac (from an older Mac) and I can't for the life of me figure out how I can do this without the original discs. I've tried simply moving the files over on a drive and then activating with my serial number, but apparently I'm missing some files from my old machine.
I can't find any downloads of old trial versions to use and the subsequently authorize with my serial number.
so I made a gif. and it just won't move. it works fine when I open it but once I show the layers (other than the first layer), it stops moving and I can't get it to move again. it doesn't move in photoshop, nor when I save it as a gif. I need to show the layers to be able to auto tone though.
How can I move the Photoshop menu bar over to my cyntique? It is a hassel trying to constantly jump from one monitor to the other. I must add, that I am using a mac.
Im trying to move the picture around when i zoom in, in photoshop cs4 but it wont let me. I was tought to hold the spacebar and left click down to move the picture around and it worked on my old computer befor it crashed, then I got a new computer and reinstalled photoshop cs4 and now when i hold the spacebar and click and drag it doesn't move the picture to the spot i want to edit so im having to retouch without being able to zoom in on the area.
i have a big problem and i can't finish my project until i fix the bug.
The problem is .. when i click on layer ,the layer just stay brown and i can't move it ... when i try i move only the red background.If i want to move the layer i have to click 2 times on in and then the layer is blue and i can move is....
I've made a selection to put into another picture and when I press the move tool to move it into the other picture it just bangs up against the edge...
if it's possible to move brushes and other setups I've done in CS3 to CS4 once I upgrade. I've tried several ways of searching to see if this has been asked before but I didn't find anything.
I opened the image I want to work on and the top of it is behind the top of the photoshop icon... if I click on the image, the top of the image (needed to move it down) disappears, if I click on the desktop, the image is there without photoshop. I can't move the image down to work on it, what do I do?
I have recently started using CS2. I am noticing a weird problem when I move stuff around. It is almost acting like its "Snapping". In other words, if I try to move an object, text, selection area or whatever, its jumping about 2-3 pixels in the direction I move it instead of moving smoothly. Its kind of like macromedia flash snap to grid action. I looked all around to try and find settings for the pointer but no luck.
I'm having a very strange issue with Photoshop CS5 (both 32-bit and 64-bit)
When I go to draw anything or move anything, the canvas does not respond to mouse events at all. Right clicking doesn't work, dragging edges of the free transform box doesn't work, even the top menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc) does not detect when I mouse over from one menu selection to another (e.g. moving the mouse from "File" to "Edit")
In Photoshop I'm unable to move the background window. I am able to move document windows and all the other panels, but not the background window. From the bottom right of the window I can collapse or expand the background window, yet it is stuck to the top of the menu bar. This is annoying because in order to access a finder window lying behind the Photoshop background window. I have to hide, Command H, Photoshop.
