Photoshop :: Levels / Curve And Exposure Do Not Work On Parts Of Image?
Sep 17, 2012
I have an image that I rendered in 3ds Max 2013 using iRay. There is a visible horizon line present in the image that I am trying to edit out. However, adjusting the levels, curve or exposure does absolutely nothing to the part of the image I am trying to edit. They do however work on the parts im not trying to edit. I'm sure this explains very little, so here is a lower res version showing whats up.
Try to edit the levels on the TV layer; the matte shadows and horizon line stay the same, while the TV adjusts as expected.[URL]...
Levels don't work in my installation of CS 5.1. The dialog comes up but adjustment don't change the image. I reinstalled CS 5.1 but that didn't fix things.
I'm trying to create a parts list that will show item numbers for the sub assemblies and the individual parts for each sub assembly. When I'm creating the parts list in the drawing, the option for "All Levels"is greyed out once I select my source assembly. How I can show this in a Parts list?
I am working on an assembly that is designed around a box (bounding box) that could change size. I modeled the bounding box and placed it in a new assembly file. All other parts have been created within the assembly by referencing that bounding box with starting work plane and project geometry.
The problem comes in when I change the bounding box dimensions. The work planes for each additional part, which were defined by the faces of the bounding box, do not move when the sides move. Also, my projected geometry is not updating correctly. This is a simple box, with all 90° corners. So, all associated parts (at this point) are just rectangles.
I have an image I have created on 3D studio max, I have 2 versions of this amge and one is under exposed. How can I match exactly the under exposed image to the correct image?
I have an assembly consisting of 4 sub-assemblies. Item 4 is a mount plate c/w M16 fasteners.I would like the fasteners to display as sub-parts under item 4 (24520020s) as 4.1, 4.2, etc because they are also purchasable separately.
I do not want to display the mount plate (03241389s) because it's not purchasable separately.
When I expand item 4 in the parts list it automatically turns visibility off for item 4 (24520020s), and only shows the children (0231....s).I would like to display item 4 & the fasteners only. Quite simple to turn off visibility of 03241389s, but cannot get the parent and child parts to display at the same time.
see attached picture, is it possible to trim the parts of the curve that go beyond the shape? In a CAD programme you can just trim these away and join whats left to form your shape.
By the way i am trying out the trial of Autodesk sketch book designer, (not to be confused with sketchbook pro). it has vector graphics in it and has some neat ideas xara could benefit from. Check out the video, i like the direct transformable fills. also the way lines are handled.
So im attempting to square part of a rounded square, but leave some sides curved. The problem is I've got a small square to cover the curved square and I have aligned it and yet there is a blured edge that shows its not in line.
I'm running CS2 on Windows XP. When I try to use the eyedroppers in levels or in curves, they give the color image a very red cast. I am in RGB and not the red channel. I don't have quick mask on. Know this is something stupid, but can't figure it out. Same happens when I try to used eyedroppers with curves. If it's a greyscale image, I notice the black eyedropper when used on the darkest area really puts a light haze over the entire image.

I have a PNG image and like to edit the alpha mask. As there's no separate alpha layer inside the PNG image, but all pixels have a certain alpha value, I'd like to extract that with Photoshop. How can I do that?
I know the title sounds weird, but I am having trouble keeping my levels from reverting back to their default look when saving as a jpeg or attempting to flatten or merge my layers. I can attach a link to the PDS if you would like to take a look at it. The layer that is losing its levels settings is called "Stars". I don't change my levels often, so I am sure its something I am just missing. The levels are just changes on a single layer, as stated above its the layer called "Stars".
looking at the image plane and the 2 inputs I used - diffuse / opacity (alpha channel), what parameters are the best way to adjust the image plane brightness / contrast / levels (photoshop style)?
That’s what I like about these forums. A great way to get straight to the point and learn stuff fast.
A while back I took a Photoshop class and remember a lesson on where you could select a region of an image and save it for the web with a high quality and select another region of the same image and save it for the web with a low quality, so that the focal point was saved with a high quality and the background was saved with a low quality. I have no idea where my notes are from this class and can not remember at all how to do this. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial about this?
I need to take a scanned rectangular image and make it into an arc, curving the bottom and top up. (I can create a path in the shape I want by simply creating a rectangle, creating a node in the middle of the bottom and top edges, and moving these nodes both up, but this doesn't get me anywhere). I can't figure out how to stretch the rectangular image into a specified shape to arc it.
I'm trying to swap one type of inlet for another. I can swap the type-13 to a type-R but when I try to swap it for a double type-13 it reverts to the single type-13. This is happening with a 7' manhole as well. I can swap a 6' for a 4' or an 8' but it will not swap to a 7', it reverts to a 6'. Is there something in the catalog for this that preventing the swap?
I am trying to make a straight image follow a curve and I cannot figure out how to do it. I want the checkered image to folow the curve on the blue image.
I want to define a curve which will have stuff in it, and then have lots of images around the curve but not going over it at all so there is a smooth edge.
how can I cut out just a single part of a whole image and not the entire image itself? For example, I have a picture of a girl and the only thing I want to use from the entire picture is her lips. How can I cut those out?
If I wanted to have a picture of a book laying open::
[URL]
And I wanted to put a picture on the right hand side of the book, to look as though it was part of the book, how would I make the curve of the layer(or picture) to mimic that of the book?
I wasn't sure how large my image would be, so I created a larger than necessary PSD file. I would like to export as little as possible (it's a rectangular image). How can I select just the image for export and ignore the background?
I am using Photoshop CS6 and I want to create a composite of 2 images. One is of the Moon and the other will be of stars. The problem I'm having is removing the unwanted stars from the Moon and the dark part of the Moon (depending on the Phase). Do I create a layer for each image? And is it black over white or vice-versa?
i want to take out the buildings on the right and left of the water heaters, leaving the skyscrapers in the middle. i'm quite a novice at Photoshop and i can't seem to find a good way to do it without having a horrible result.... i tried doing it using the clone stamp and spot healing brush, but i just cant seem to get a good transition of the background sky from dark black to lighter grey once i take the buildings out..
