I have a layer with a picture that has some white in it,
A second layer that's half on top of the first layer and the other half does not have anything in the back. This layer also has 80% opacity and the color is just what I want.
How can I match the color from the second half to the one that has a white background?
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
I`ve found a background color for my web page and I like to get the same color in Photoshop to use it like background for my grafics.Hom can I get the exactly same colors when on my page it`s in HEX triplet numbers and in photoshop it`s in RGB & CMYK?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm into photoshopping cars and i've got a rough idea on how to stitch bits and pieces of other cars together nicely, the problem is i still haven't a clue on how to match the colours of different cars to my target car (i.e. my car is blue but the bumper of another car is green, so how do i get that green to match my car's blue?)
i just really want to know how to get this done cause previously i was using the luminance thinggy and found it to work for SOME colours but it didn't look good.
I have three photos I'm stitching together, a somewhat panoramic end image.
I have done many of these before, with various techniques, however, I'm wondering what techniques any of you would use to make sure the seam between the photos blends perfectly in regards to color.
You can see below that the blue of the sky is slightly off, producing a visible seam. I can tweak the levels to get it looking better, but then other parts of the image get tweaked the wrong way, as in, if I fix the color in the sky, the color of the rocks below go way off.
Am I just better off merging the layers, and using the heal, dodge, burn tools to paint it together, as I have done before?
Should I use selections in specific areas to fix the color?
In the picture is a screen capture, where you can see a file which is opened in both Photoshop CS2 and the Windows Image Viewer. The colors appear very different (it's the same file). In any other viewer (web browsers, for example) it appears as it does in the Windows Viewer.

When I bring up the color picker in Filemaker, I get a generic Windows screen with colors expressed in raw numbers, not percentages, but Photo Designer appears to use only percentages, no matter which color model I use. View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I shoot 2 different portraits (of 2 different people), against the same background (a complex one not a backdrop), using a locked frame on a tripod, giving me the same exact background in both pictures, with only the portraits changing.
If I then take these 2 pictures, and create layers out of them in the same Photoshop document, and align them perfectly on top of each other.
Is there a way (action, plugin, script, etc...) to select the pixels that did not change between the 2 layers? In other words, the pixels that create the background of both pictures? And would it make it easier if I shoot the background alone, and then the portraits, and then follow the same steps?
I think I might have accidentally used a wrong key command but as I was working on my digital art peice; the yellow from the layer I was working on turned green. So I thought to myself I must have accidentally pressed the key command for inverting the colors on the layer. But when I tried to invert it again, hoping it would turn to yellow again, it actually turned purple. So I zoomed in but then all of the other layers changed colors too. Some of the layers retained their original color but are still distorted and inverted.
I tried closing photoshop and reopening the document but to no avail. I also tried resetting all of the settings but that didn't do anything either. I think I'm going to have a heart attack if I can't fix this problem; I spent months on this and I have about a thousand layers ...
I have several icons that I would like to recolor. My thought was to figure out how to normalize and image colors (based around your 9 basic colors, black, white, red, green, orange, blue, yellow, purple, brown). Then I want to separate those colors into their own layer. I would prefer to doe this in an action as well.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a RGB file with two layers; the first containing black lines and the second containing color. I would like to convert this file into a duotone file where each of these layers is one of the two spot colors.
So far I have been able to get it in duotone (by first converting to grey). However, since the black line layer contains different shades of grey pixels as well (from anti-aliasing), it turns these grey tones into the spot color too.
I manually created text around a circle using layers and the text rotating function. Now I would like to change the color of each of the letters. Do I have to individually select each layer to do this?

But I need to limit it to a couple of layers in stead of the entire pic.. Ive tried adjustment layers, but they seem to applie to all the layers below them.. im probably applying it the wrong way right?
I was just working on several documents when something strange happened - out of nothing the appearance of fonts,layers, backgrounds etc changed. white color turned black. some layers had total different colors ( bitmap layers, no shape layers) - everything looked really messed up. I thought its some display bug in Photoshop cc so I saved my document and restart everything - fun thing -> it did save with these alterations.
Whatever happened, I have the problem in 2 documents, i can't reproduce it - one was a pretty big psd file - the other one was a fairly new one. Because of Time machine i was able to recover my file.

I've just used the align layers feature to stitch together 4 pics into a panorama view. It looks great except the sky is different shades of blue for each of the stiched elements.
Is there an easy way of somehow merging the different blues so you end up with a consistent blue across the panoramic view?
write out the steps involved in importing one set of points to a point group so that it is one color and on one layer and a different set of points onto a different layer with a different color? We gather survey data using different methods and want to be able to overlay the data sets for quality control purposes and them being the same color is crazy making

All of them are having bad results. From all this 3 commands the closer to my needs is the flatshot. But I am working with many layers which have different colors, so when I will generate the 2D views I need to see the same color as the layers have (each color is for a particular medium).
I am using this command without showing the obscured lines.When I am generating the isometric views with the flatshot I am seeing strange objects (UFO), is far away from the original model, you can see in the attachment.
It is possible to generate somehow 2D views (front views&isometric views) seeing the color which every element has, and it is possible to correct somehow those ugly isometric views ( the guys from autocad should do something with this, because when I am generating a isometric view the 2d drawing that I received is completely different from the 3D model !).
I want to make the drawings using the 2D views, because the 3D Models are very big (50-60MB) and it is very hard to work with them!

I try BS 1192 and ISO but they are misappointed me.
for ex they use
1-ext wall white .5
2- hatch blue .18 !! (not clear color and not light weight)
3- int. wall color: 9 weight: .25
Currently working on a PowerPoint styled animation.I've parented the source text of 5 text layers to 1 text layer so I can easily alter the text. It is essential that I have 5 identically texted layers.
My requirement isn't much: To assign colors to individual words without having to separate those words into different layers.
I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine.All licences were validated so no problems there.Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket.But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
I just downloaded CC and was able to implement my workspace from CS6 and load presets. But color settings and other preferences along with screen colors etc are not how I want them. Any way to match everything with my CS6?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe colors of pictures is much darker when working in photoshop than when I open it normally. And vice versa, I work on images inside photoshop, and I get the colors I want, but once I save it to bmp or jpg or anything else, all the colors are much lighter.
i'm using photoshop 7.
Let's say I have two pictures. The first one is a RAW file and the second is the same file, but a flat PSD with some color and contrast moves done to it.
What I want to do is to (of course start with processing the RAW file so I have a PSD/tiff) and then I would like to match the colors to 100%.
Usually I would do this by eye, but I would like to find out if there's any quicker way to do it? I started to look in to the color sampler tool to get the different values.
Preferably I would also like to have all these color and contrast moves in layers if possible. So that I can adjust them if I want.

I have two images and I want to use parts of one to merge into another. How can I match grainess and brightness/contrast to make the new image look seamless.

I can not match it with Photoshop. Why would this be? It doesn't matter what Alias setting i use and i tried a ton of fonts etc...
