I am wanting to buy the photoshop cs6 and am currently running Microsoft but want to upgrade my laptop by the end of the year to a Mac..use the keycode once when you purchase it? Should I go and get the new computer now? On that note which Mac for photo editing I was thinking MacBook pro 15" or should I go the 17"?
I just installed AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 last week from upgrading from 2011. I just noticed that when I set up a new drawing coordinate system for a horizontal datum, I get a message "Coordinate System Code is not Valid". I know the files are loaded under the documents and settings folder, but I don't know why it's not reading them.
I've created a simple cutdown kerb in Subassembly Composer 2013. I can't add Point, Link or Shape Codes & get the error message " The code (Flange for example) is not a valid input parameter or variable.
I recently got a new laptop, and I want to transfer the CS2 activation from my old desktop to my new laptop. I deactivated CS2 on my old computer, but when I try to activate it on my new laptop, I'm told that the serial number isn't valid.I use Window's Vista.
We have a 5 user license for Photoshop CS4 extended, and the first machine I've tested on has returned a red cross indicating an invalid license key when this is entered. However, the same key has subsequently been accepted for 2 other Windows installs on very similar machines.
This is a full install license as it has successfully installed CS4 alongside CS3 on one of the clients.
I have tried uninstalling all Adobe Photoshop related products including Bridge, etc from the problematic machine (and also ensured the HKLMSofwateMicrosoftWindowsCurrenversionUninstall key is cleared of such products) restarted and attempted install again but it's still not accepted.
I'm suspecting this one workstation has something left over in the registry or perhaps a file/folder that is confusing the key check.
i recently tried to change the icons of photoshop using a program called "program icon changer". As i didnt know what i was doing, i accidentally replaced the icons with others of the wrong resolution without backing up the file first and now i get a "not valid win32 app" message. Could some one please tell me how to fix this or post their icons ( you would have to extract them form the photoshop.exe file)
problme with photoshop cs, i have used just some layers so many times but after reinstalling photoshop i faced to this message,"Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer"
I just upgraded from CS5 to CS6 and for the most part love it. I have run into a very serious problem when it comes to saving. I am on Mac 10.6.8 and have a server that I save all my files too. In CS6 anytime I try to save something to the server's HDD I get the error below,
"Could not save as “avi_horizontal_logo.jpg” because the file name was not valid"
Now, the file name is valid, obviously. I can load the file into cs6 but whenever I try to save over or as a copy I get this error. I still have CS5 installed and have gone back and verified that I can save files to my server via CS5 since coming across the error in CS6. Additionally I have no problems saving to my server via Illustrator or In design
This issue is not occurring on one version on only one workstation either. I have both Design Premium (on 2 computers) and Design Standard (on 1) and all three are replicating this issue but the issue is non-existent in CS5.
icc v4 cmyk profile created by colormunki can not be loaded in photoshop cs6 for windows 7. the answer is in german: "Der CMYK-Arbeitsfarbraum konnte nicht geladen werden, weil es sich bei dem Profil nicht um ein gültiges Profil für ein CMYK-Arbeitsfarbraum handelt", i use a german version of the program. it means the cmyk profile can not be loaded, because it is not a valid cmyk profile.
I am a high school art teacher and this happened to one of my students. He was working on a PSD file, vectoring an image when PS6 quit unexpectedy. Now when we try to open the file there is an error message "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." It still has the .psd extension. We are using Mac OS10.8.2. I tried opening it in Illustrator, Preview and Graphic Coverter without success.
Since upgrading to PS CS6 I too frequently get the following message when yrying to open a document: "Could not complete you request because it is not a valid Photoshop document". This never happened in CS5 and this is the 3rd or 4th time in CS6. The documents are quite simple. Only a few layers - just slightly adjusted photo graphs.
I've photoshop CS5 and I've bought the upgrade to CS6...I'm trying to install it, but in the installation it says that I don't have a valid software installed, is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong?
I was trying to spare some room on my C: drive so when I went to save for web last time, I decided to save the images and html on D: drive instead of C:. Ever since then, when I go to save for web I get this error message: "Could not complete this operation. The directory name is not valid". I even uninstalled PS and reinstalled it to see if the factory default settings might override whatever I screwed up!
I am unable to open my own pdfs in my Photoshop (ones that I have created in same Photoshop).I get the message "This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened."
I have to keep recreating the art...ugh!! Is there a way to pull up history to replicate my artwork until I get this resolved?
I have recently purchased a new desktop under WIN 7 as well as Adobe Creative Suite CS6.My first internal hard disk is 2 TB, the second one installed is from my old PC, 250 GB.
I am getting this error when trying to save a file over an existing file using the “Save” command. The message is wrong, because the filename IS valid. This error is persistent. This error does not occur when doing the same action on my second internal hard disk. This error happens on files larger than about 1MB in weight.
What happens is that the original file over which I try to do the ”Save” command gets corrupted and lost.If I don't use the “Save as” command to save my work under a different name, my work is lost. The same problem occurs with both PS CS6 versions, 64 Bit and 32 Bit.
I get a "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." error message whenever I try to open up a PSD file created on a Mac using Photoshop CC on my PC using CC. Other people have been able to open the file from the same location, so the files aren't corrupted.
So, I tried opening this document that was originally created on a Mac. I'm running photoshop on PC (windows 8, CS6). I keep getting this error message on many of the docs that my friend created on his mac.
"Could not complete your request because it is not a valid photoshop document"..I've checked the document extensions.
Whenever I try to upload a picture to edit on photoshot it tells me "Could not complete your request because it's not valid Photoshop document". I don't understand what this means. Why can't I upload my picture? Am I clicking the wrong thing? I go under "File" in the upper left corner and scroll to "Open As... Alt+Shift+Ctrl+O" then it brings me to my photos I have saved on my computer, then I click on the photo I want to edit but the "Error" sign pops up. I'm using the 30 day trial so I dont have much time!
After a time machine recovery most of my photoshop documents recovered fine, however there are a select few (and my most recent work unfortuantely) that seem corrupt. It isn't all of my documents. Trying to recover them again from back-up doesn't seem to be working. I did have to reinstall photoshop CS4 after the recovery.
I've tried opening with other programs, I've tried changing the file extentions etc. If the files were just corrupt recovering them from time machine should fix the problem.
I am trying to make a logo button for my site, but unfortunately I have no idea what font to use for the logos. I have attached some examples and was hoping that I could get some help.
I'm working in a dynamic block and I think that I've had to mark or unmark some option in the program because since yesterday I can't use as an initial point of any parameter some central points. I mean, when I try to specify the initial point of any parameter (e.g.: rotation) where the four lines converge, the program tells me that the " 2d object is not valid".
Making a part that will have the size as an option to pick. Issue is Ilogic does not like it. I have a list that has sizes like:
3" X 2" 4" X 2" 4" X 4"
But when I put in the code
If Plate_Size = "3" X 2"" ThenParameter("Dim_X") = 3Parameter("Dim_Y") = 2Parameter("Foot_Code") = "A"ElseIf Plate_Size = "4" X 2"" Then Parameter ("Dim_ X") = 4Parameter("Dim_Y") = 2Parameter("Foot_Code") = "B"End If it gives me an error
Error on Line 4 : End of statement expected.and highlight the If Plate_Size ="3" X 2"".I know it has to do with the X but I an't remember what to do having brain fart.
I am usin the trial version of VideoStudio. After a lot of fiddling about (VideoStudio didn't recognize my camcorder) I was able to see my video clips in VideoStudio by placing my memory card in an external card reader. Whilst all the clips appear, VideoStudio informs me that there are no valid video clips.
I have multiple .VOB and other files in a "VIDEO_TS" folder that I can't import using either the "File/Insert Media to Timeline" or the "Capture/Insert Digital Media" function of this VS Pro X2 software version. In both attempted instances I am presented with a error message that reads: 'Not a valid DVD Volume. Report ID: 0x8000408fe(2302)".
As background, these .VOB originated from my own personal DVD's recording that failed to "finalize" due to an electrical disconnect with that Liton recorder, or software failure. Using the Isobuster software, and the page 3 instructions for it found on the excellent website of [URL] ..., I created the file that I'm attempting to import into VS. I don't believe this remedial step of using Isobuster is the cause of my VS problem, as the .VOB files it created are functional as proven by their playing in VLC media player software. Thus, I don't want to be chasing ghosts along that path, unless you can be certain that is where I should be going.
I have a picture, I select save and chose png No what what name i pick PSP tells me "The file name is not valid" If i chose to save as TIF it saves right away. If I copy a png file in the directory and click on the file, and then click on that file in the save as dialog, PSP asks me if i want to overwrite, if i say yes then it saves the file: From then on i can save without getting this error message.
I have been using this program for a long time. Now, however, when clicking the dropdown to insert a media file, I am getting errors. Files that play fine in iTunes or WMP or other apps are being rejected. Example: Two different mp3 files, one downloaded from Amazon, another ripped from CD drive, one .avi file. Error messages: For mp3 "Unable to fine the file. Please check the name and location and try again. 16803:1:1." For avi "unable to open file. File reading error. 17101:1:42." Both files are well formed, play on other systems, easily discoverable and have file names/extensions that are well formed.
I am having troubles attaching files to the existing .dwg file. I am trying to attach 6 drawings to one file, but evrytime i do it, it gives me a drawing id not valid error.
