I needed a second audio file and created a layer and placed my video file that has the audio I want in that layer. I edited the audio in that layer and now I want to save the result as an audio file.. preferably an MP3 file. How do I select a specific layer and save just that layer as an audio file?

When I want to save a edited image to a file(every image goes to the same file all the time),I always have to search this file. How can I program CS5.1 to always go to that specific file to save the image. Instead of searching for the file all the time!
Second thing is that the images always have to be changed to the same resolution. Is there a way to 'automate' this. I Know: - File - Automate - Fit Image. But is it possible to do this with a key combination or make a 'button' somewhere?
80% of the time I want to save my workfiles to a specific folder (i am quite organized when it comes to Creative Suite files) and I wondered:

How can I save it with these dimensions/constraints and not lose resolution? What I have tried - export to .jpg (file is 5 inches x 3 inches), export and change resolution to 100ppi (image is nearly the right dimensions, but blurry). The tools I have are AI and PS both version CS5

Let's say I'm using the 'Paintbrush, Opacity 70%, Hardness 075, Size 4.00' as my "standard outline tool". Can I some how save that preference (and any other tool such as "Specific Eraser Op. 100%, Hard. 100, Size 10.00) so that I can easily switch between "Ouline Brush" and "Specific Eraser" . View 2 Replies View RelatedI started a Premiere Pro CS5 project on my PC at work. Video files played both audio and video, life was good. Unfortunately my PC at work is slow, so I want to continue working on the project on my home PC. Uploaded the needed files with Sugarsync, went home, but when I open the project here all the video files only play audio.
So I know the files CAN display video, so it must be something to do with my home computer and CS5 install? I tried reinstalling PP CS5, no change. Is there a setting I may have accidentally disabled at home to force audio only?
Every time that I open a file, almost all the layers in the first level appears expanded, even when the file was saved with these layers colapsed.
So, as I have a lot of layers and sublayers/groups, it is difficult to navigate to a specific location and I need to collapse layer by layer.
Are there some trick to force Illustrator to remember the layer status?
I'm plodding along with my template at work when time allows! I have just saved an initial copy as a dwt file. When I open it none of the layers I made are saved except the ones used. How do you save a layer to a dwt template file, as I need the same colors / line weights each time.
Also when I open my dwt file I have the tabs -
model, layout 1, layout 2, A2
I just want the model and A2 tab, so why do the others open as I have not made them. I have attached a dwg of the initial template for your reference.

what is the best proper way to exclude a layer and save it in a separate file. The think is that if i freeze the other layers the new file still keeps the other layers. This creates a problem in a conversion process to shp, that i need to do.

I have been using this tried and true format for years with no issues whatsoever... until recently within the past year or 2 I have been running similar problems with it. I had recently concluded it was due to the Mpeg Layer 1 and 2 audio codecs that DVD Movie Factory 7 install as prior to version 7 I have always had DVD Movie Factory 6 that I have to install in order to get this audio format on the system to use with encoding.
I had completely reset my system up recently... with NOT installing Movie Factory 7 and remaining with version 6 and have had no issues with encoding using VideoStudio Pro X3. However, I had gone ahead and installed the Service Pack 2 update for VideoStudio X3 and seems like since then the problem has resurfaced. Now I am usually left with glitchy audio. My question to the Corel guys... does Service Pack 2 for VideoStudio X3 have any relationship whatsoever to the Mpeg Layer 1 and Layer 2 audio codecs that Movie Factory 7 install? Because if it does, then you seriously have a problem with these newer codecs in the software and you need to revert back to previous versions which work without any problems.
When I try to save a photo to JPEG, i get iff. When i try to save it as a TIFF file, i get PDF. where did i go wrong, and how can I get my PS CS6 (mac) back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot for the life of me figure out how to save in a specific folder desitnations when using Actions and Saving For Web with CS6 PS for Windows. It ALWAYS defaults to last folder used. I am not Batch Processing, just using Actions on one image at a time. I have 3 of these actions.
Action one is for "Thumbnail" folder, Action two is for "Full" folder, and Action three is for "Large" folder. All these actions are doing is saving for web into these folders (path displays correctly in Action script). HOWEVER after I successfully use Action one and save into the Thumbnail folder and move on to Action 2, it wants to save back into Thumbnail AND NOT into Full folder. In short I now have 3 actions saving to the same folder even though my recording designated 3 different locations.
In Word and Excel it's possible under Preferences to point to a specific folder for both saving and opening files. Is this possible under Photoshop to do the same as it's taking me ages to find the correct file when wanting to open/alter/save multiple images.

All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

I have a layer in which I want to crop it-after the cropping I want this layer to have a specific shape-the shape I intend to use is not from the custom shapes list.
Actually it is a type layer.
So I want to use this type layer and with it crop another shape layer, so the latter, takes the form of the later.
How am I going to achieve the above-I tried with a clipping mask but could not do it.
I am trying to put a layer on top of another and achieve a specific effect.
My bottom layer is a normal color image, however my top layer is a single object with completely white background. I am trying to over-layer the two in such a way that the object on the top layer is fully visible and blocks the space behind it. However the white portion of the top layer should not interfere with the bottom image. I know there is a cropping method but I cannot use any cropping in what I am doing. I need to figure out how to do this effect using layer options.
The trick is that I have a completely white background on my top image, so I think there should be a way to make white transparent but at the same time keep the object visible.
Here is a sample of what i am looking for (I did this using cropping technique but need to figure out how to do it using layer options/effects such as multiply and overlay)

We got several image files every 2 weeks which should be edited and mainly reduced in size for web purpose. This work needs 1 work day for one man/woman to do, because he/she has to open the file save for web and then set the quality to a value were the file is nearly about 150-200 KB in size.
The images are different, some have few colors, some have a lot of colors and there are also different in resolution. But they should not be reduced in resolution, only in quality. All other specs of the image should be kept
Is there any possible script, plug-in or similar which can do the same (Saving with a specific max. file size) in some automatic and faster way?

I just recently discovered the keyboard shortcut for toggling the current layer on and off and it is an incredible time saver. Is it possible to create a keyboard shortcut dedicated to toggle a specific layer on and off regardless of what layer I am working on? I use Photoshop for painting and I'll have a layer set up like an overlay, with my line drawing set to Multiply blending mode at about 25% opacity.
However, as the painting progresses, I need to turn that layer on and off continuously to be able to see my painting without the lines overlayed. I know I lose a lot of time having to go over and turn the eye off and then back on over on the layers pallete. I've tried setting something up as an Action, and had a shortlived success, but when I added new layers or moved them around after setting it up, it stops working. I have to say, it was my first attempt at creating an Action of any kind, so there may be a way to keep it working regardless of what I do to the other layers, Having the ability to somehow dedicate a key for quick toggling of my drawing layer would be another tremendous time saver.
I want to warp a specific selection of a portion of a layer, but everytime I do this the warp tool cuts off the edges. Is there a way to prevent the warp tool from doing this ?

Trouble is I often dupe the original video layer to apply effects and this appears to dupe the audio - rendering the final audio totally overblown and distorted. - is there a way to switch it off for a specific layer?
