I am unsuccessful with clicking and draging .PAT files from my presets folder in Windows Explorer into and/or around the Preset Manager window in CS5. When I click and drag, my cursor symbol makes it look like it will work but nothing happens- no .pat files are loaded in.
So, far all I can do is load one pattern at a time.
Is it possible to move/load multiple .pat files at one time?
I am trying to load patterns, and when I click on Load Patterns..., none of my .pat files are showing. I only have one showing right now, and that is only because i did the following: I clicked the "Reset to Default" button, which brought up the default patterns. Once that was loaded,
I reset that as the default and now that is the only .pat file that shows. If I go to the preset folder in CS5, I can see the list of .pat files, yet they won't show up when I try to load a new pattern folder.
I have beent trying to follow the instructions found at the URL below (second half of the video) in order to load custom patterns onto Elements 11. The video says I need to go to C:/ drive, then Users, then my folder, then AppData, then Adobe, then Photoshop Elements, Roaming, and Preset(s). However, the only program folder in the Adobe folder is for FlashPlayer. I have searched the entire computer, and while I can find the Photoshop Elements folder, it does not contain Roaming and/or Presets folders.
I have a series of pics (approx 80) that I'd like to load into Elements, with each photo going into a single layer. I google'd a series of old posts where somebody used a "script", but the links are no longer working and that trails is dead.
Can I create more than one pattern from the same base component? For example, pattern a bolt in the center of a plate into one quadrant using pattern 1 and then into another quadrant using pattern 2.
I work in Ai to build patterns from multiple shapes and colors. At some point in the process, I use the clipping mask to crop away the parts of the build-out I don't want to see/use. Then I copy that cell/tile I want to use, and build repeated pattersn. When I bring all of these tiles together - even at 6400% - no matter how close I get the tiles to each other's edges - flush or even slightly overlapping - there is almost always a white line demarking the edges. Sometimes 3 of 4 edges appear in a centered-x/y axis, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it and I can not reverse engineer the cause.
I have hidden my edges. There is no stroke on a box. Even the clipping path has been checked and does not have stroke. What's going on here? This is a huge stumbling block for my business.
I am trying to load multiple Text Sizes into AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 so that I can have a list of the standard text sizes (3/32", 3/16", 1/4", 3/8") to choose from the Annotation tab > Text Group > Annotation Text Height drop down list, instead of having to type them in each time.
At first I thought that I could just add the different text sizes using the TEXTSIZE variable command into my drawing template file, but apparently the Text Sizes entered are only retained for that particular session of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Is there perhaps some other system variable that controls this setting being retained for more than one session??
Then I thought I could just create a program to load the sizes. I originally tried creating a C# .NET program to load the text sizes, but ran into a problem. I then I tried creating another version of a C# program, as well as an AutoLISP script, thinking that it was perhaps some limitation to my approach (which still may be the case). But I still keep running into the same problem. The problem is that only the last text size specified is actually entered into the list of available text sizes. The other text size values appear to be processed but are not retained in the Annotation Text Height drop down list.
The following is my first attempt with C#:
using Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices; using Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime; public class CreateTextSizes : Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime.IExtensionApplication { public void Initialize() { // Create following Text Sizes: 0.09375 (3/32"), 0.1975 (3/16"), 0.25 (1/4"), 0.375 (3/8")
I'd like to know how inventor defines the center of rotation when you apply moment load on multiple faces at once. I'm not basically able to define where exactly I need that axis to be. and I dont understand where inventor assumes that axis is. if you take a look at attached model, obviously the resultant forces caused by the applied moment are bigger on the single pillar located on the extention, thats why its been displaced more than the others, but where exactly is center of rotation. I'm trying to avoid modeling of the section above this which technically transfers the moment thorough shear pins on the structure I have modeled.
I am trying to load single pages from multi page tiffs, convert them to monochrome (dithered), flatten the image, then save them as single monochrome, ccitt group4 tiffs. - all through scripts.
The multipage tiffs contain pages in grayscale and color which were created using the old style (problematic) JPEG compression option.
I have tried other tools, such as libtiff (modified with a patch to handle the old jpeg compression), and the latest version of imagemajick. Unfortunately they cannot correctly convert the files, whereas gimp can, but only one page of the multi-page tiff at a time(gimp crashes if I load a 5page document (as separate images) then convert each image to monochrome, flatten and save in one session)
the scripting function for loading tiffsfile-tiff-load does not expose the options to load individual pages, or to select loading as images or as layers, which the visual file load/import does.
How I can achieve this using a script.? Manually is not a problem, but too time consuming for large (eg. 200page) tiffs.
I have a project that suddenly won't load. I have 25 versions of it, I save it under a new file name each time in case I need to go back to an older version.
Trouble is most of the versions won't load! Only the very early versions will load. Some of the later version start to load then disappear.
Hardware hasn't changed on the PC, maybe the video drivers have been updated, thats about it.
there are different patterns all over this graphic. And on the bottom, there are the cubes, and they sort of dissapear towards the left of the image. Is this done using the selection tool to select exactly where the patterns would go?
i had to re format my hard drive the other night, and was wondering if any fellow photoshop user was willing to save their patters and send them to me. this only really applies if u have made cool patterns of ur own i suppose.
I am trying to send a client a photoshop CS6 file whom is using CS5. He can open the file but the custom patterns are not converting even after installing the patterns.
Someone know where to find some shapes and patter for Photoshop? I'm searching for geographical shapes and floreal pattern, also other patter and shapes are good.
Does anyone know where I can download a collection of popular patterns? I mean, by myself, I already have patterns like scanlines and dots and boxes, but there are complex patterns out there that I'd like to have. Anyone know where I can get them or learn how to make them?
I've created my own defined patterns in photoshop CS and looking to transfer them across to another pc with photoshop on. I've looked in the presets at file size and changes but theres nothing.
Do any of you clever people know where my defined patterns are, my photoshop is installed in the default location.
I created a pattern of concrete block coursing that I want to apply to a picture of the side of a building. The pattern is clipped so that it will repeat appropriately when filled into a large area. The problem is that depending on where I fill in the canvas, the pattern never fills in with the same start point. I want it to always start at the bottom left corner of the pattern (which is the bottom left corner of a block). Is there a way to set the point that a pattern moves out from? Also, does the pattern radiate from its center point or one of the corners?
In Autocad there is a snapbase command that lets you choose the start point for a pattern. This is exactly what I'm looking for in photoshop.
If i have an image that i have used custom patterns on and i want to give out the PSD file for people to use and change things and resave do i need to give out the custom patterns? for instance i made a custom line pattern, will that not appear if i dont hand it out too? and what filename should i give it if so?
I'm trying to paint with a pattern I created but I'm having trouble doing so. I'm trying to follow the instructions in the photoshop manual but it almost seems as though they missed something (but it's probably me who's missing something). To create a pattern, it says to use the rectangle marquee tool to make a selection, setting feather to 0, choose edit -> define pattern, give it a name, and hit OK. So when I do that, nothing seems to happen after I hit OK. If I try to use the paint bucket tool, I still get the same monotonous color. How do I actually use the pattern I just created with the paint bucket tool?
Everytime I go and try to define a pattern, i normally make the pattern pictures big, but everytime i try to make them smaller in the "Pattern Overlay" thing they get blurry,
When I click the pattern I want, by default it puts the full size image first:
Although, when I try and when i try to scale it down, this is how it gets!
