A friend asked me how to create a base template for metadata information (file/info/description). The basic info is my name, address, copywrite, etc. I had created this on a previous version of Photoshop and was able to migrate it to PS6. However, in trying to answer his question, I have lost my own template. How to recreate this.

I can insert the poles via long/lat and all is great, my issue is I would like more information in those points.
For example, pole number, class, HOA, Make Ready. Currently I create a survey data store and import ASCII Points using PNE(comma delimited)
So with my Excel file (this is where I get my pole information from) I get a point/northing/easting to enter into the formatting section.
I would like to add more information to these individual points, like ploe number, class, HOA...
If I view the point table I see that there are a lot of other columns, can I use them or customize them? is there a quick tutorial on this issue?
Succesfully producing a slope analysis exhibit using LIDAR topographic base information with this version of Civil 3D? I have followed the instructions as best I can and have had no luck. I am using a trial version and this is a big factor in whether or not I will ultimately make the purchase.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop displays metadata for images, including Camera Data. The latter can include Owner, but it is not told where that information comes from. It is possible that it comes from a “metadata template” as accessed by the second of the four tabs at the bottom of the Camera Data screen. There is a folder: User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>IMP>Metadata Template, but that latter folder is empty, and (quite naturally) there exists no directions for setting up any metadata template. At least one does not turn up from searching the Adobe website.There are vague hints about the existence of direction (as at URL...), but no specific directions where they are actually likely to be needed.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a copyright template made (using PS CS5) & when I download new images to my iMac it automatically adds this copyright data to each image downloaded.
I have a web page with many images on it I made prior to this. I wish to add my copyright metadata to those images. I have a folder on my desktop which contains all the image copies of what I uploaded to my website. Is there a way I can select all the images in the folder by opening in Bridge and adding the template to all selected at once?
If I could do that, then I would re-upload all the images to my website overwriting the old ones to up date with copyrighted images.
I create web galleries using LR 4 and often I am including images from several photographers. I should like to be able to create a copyright watermark which incorporates the photographer's name by setting it to something like Copyright <creator>
Is there a way to achieve this other than setting the copyright on import for each photographer's set?
I need to change the Base Quantity of family templates in CC from GL = ... to Each. (I know there are several different qty, but I need this to Each because of ERP-system).
I use open from CC and place a tube in an iam, and changing BOM-settings to Each on that tube. Then I replace template in the family in CC editor with this file. And everything seems OK.
When I use "Place from CC" and place a tube from this family, everything is in perfect order. The ipt has Base Quantity set to Each just like I wanted.
I use Frame Generator and insert tubes from this family, then the Base Quantity "bounce" back from Each of GL = ...
I need this to work also in Frame Generator.

what i would like to do is be able to quickly insert a template (layers/linetypes/colours etc) which is the same used in our initial drawing. I'm a big fan of constantly purging and auditing my drawings to keep them clean and in a previous workplace we had the ability to reinsert all the default layering.
i want to know how to create template file right from scratch and which format I should use to extract information from blocks and its attributes.

In order to be able to create usefull lists of items, I would need to be able to print this metadata fields on contact Sheets.This is the only functionality that prevents me from using Lightroom as a database for produced artworks, beeing able to manage exhibitions, stock locations, sales etc...Guess this means I have to make those new fields accessible in the Text Template Editor that allows user to compose an aggregated text from various type of metadata for printing or slideshows.But seems that only the original sets of metadata appears in Text Template Editor, not the one created by my plugin.Is there a way to add this functionnality to my plugin ?

Is this a font or can this be done in photoshop? If so, what are the steps?
We have two related issues we're trying to solution.
(1) If we create a blank Photoshop file ("template") that is merely a size, resolution and color profile, when we add an image (that does contain metadata), the image's metadata is not retained in the template metadata. We need to be able to transfer that image's metadata, automatically, to the template. (We do not want to have to copy/paste.)
(2) Let's say we now have a template with 1 image and associated metadata. We now need to add another image(s) to this template and have the second image's metadata also transfer automatically. (This auto-transfer of metadata would occur for any subsequent image added.)We are using CS4 v11.0.2.
I'm trying to develop a program where I can use a base view based on the current view of a single part. The idea is basically export the contour of the part to the DXL format and save it to be used on cutting machines.
I've found something similar here, but in the context, it was necessary to use the path of the part to work, and I need it to recognize the part that is already opened.
You've made a 3D model - you would like to know it's width, height and length. If you let's say made a box (by box command) then simply CH (properties) will give you the aforesaid measurements. However if you made a box (rectangle+extrude) only height is shown all in spirit of the command used to create a solid object.
I know LIST does get you a bit further by listing a bounding box, but is there a similar command that will get the job done and show you width, height and length.
I am acknowledging the fact that extrude can be used not only to create objects perpendicular to the base they were created from etc etc, but is there a way.

I just tried to create a subgrade surface using the base link. The surface turned out to be wrong because some of the points in the Lane Outside Super Layer Varying Width subassembly are uncoded. Everything I've looked at seems to be programming related (over my head). Do I need to download a composer for 2014? I didn't see one on the list for 2014.

it then says 'invalid autodesk inventor file C:projects......'
the command then closes.

“Associative body copy API Sample” 2013 API help.
The above code in the API help shows how to do an associative or a non-associative copy in an assembly of one part into another part. ..BUT the non-associative copy does not always work correctly....
I have been testing this sample code and notice the following limitations with the lower part entitled “Create a non-associative solid base feature in the second part”...
The code uses the proxy body for the source object but it does not use the proxybody for the target object and therefore the relative positioning is wrong for the nonparametricbasefeature when it is created in the target object if the real target body is in a different place than the targetbodyproxy (e.g. it has been rotated/moved in assembly space).
I notice that if you perform this manually using the “copy object” button the relative positioning is maintained correctly even if both target and source objects have been rotated/moved in the assembly...
I created multiple base views and projected views on drawing (autocad 2014). suddenly when I create base view it doesn't show anything, jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates (it is fixed can't be changed), scale can't be changed. It shows it is drawing view in properties, however when I want to edit (click edit then select the view , it won't recognize it is view). I created many views without problem, now all base views jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates....

In the Library module, to the left of the "Metadata" label next to the twisty to open it up, is a drop down list that starts with "Default" and then has a list with sets such as "DNG", "EXIF", etc.
Two questions or requests:
1) I want to be able to see ALLLLLLLL of the metadata. Right now I got out to ExifTool and suck out the data I need and hand corrolate that. In last night's particular need, I needed the rotation of the camera body which is in the metadata (twice) but I don't know how to view it from inside Lightroom.
2) I want to be able to add to the list I described with my own sets of metadata fields. To me, this would be very nice. There are tons and tons of fields but I'm interested in only a few but I'm sure each person is interested in a different set. It would be nice to be able to customize which fields are displayed. Of course, once you go that far, then you may as well add the ability to name the sets and save them for later use.
Is either one of these items possible in Lightroom 4? (or 5?)
I want to use a different size than the templates. The size is A2 which is half of a 8/12 by 11 paper then folded in half. (that way you can print twocards per page). I want to be able to resize my image to fit this size, add text to the front half with the image and a little text on the back.

I want to open a pipe design so i can print it out, paste it on a real pipe and cut the end out. It's pretty much sheet metal development.
Attached is one of the many pipes. I have Autodesk Inventor FUSION 2013. Does that have any such features or do I have to get the Professional version?
i want to create a basic house template. how do i do this so it will keep all walls i create and all familys i load. i have made a template before but when i open a project using this template none of the walls , floor, of families are present.
