I am trying to fill the blank space (center) in this header with the existing background, how do i go about copying and pasting the red area into the blank area.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently my CS6 has exhibited a weird behavior--when I open a jpeg, for example, only half of the file is displayed--the other half appears as a blank area in the file display area. When I click on the blank space, the rest of the file will appear. Windows 7 up to date, 9 GB Ram, i7 processor. I've been considering uninstalling and reinstalling but fear for my plugins and understand that reinstalls are not straightforward.

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!
Remove the text and the white background and fill it with its respective background ?

i have an image, roughly human shaped, rendered in hundreds of tiny circles. how can i make a separate outline of the whole image, so that i can then fill it with white? i want to be able to put the original image on a black BG but have the empty space between the circles show up as white.

I know the original 'X' is in a square shape so I'm unsure if it can be put into this vertical rectangle shape. I want the four coloured bars to continue into each of the corners and also do another copy with a sort of glossy reflective look applied to the colours if possible. View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery once in a while I print that has two side-by-side images on one piece of paper. My usual routine is to create a new document that is larger than the two images--say, 10x8 (horizontal) with a transparent background and the same resolution as the two images that I'll be placing on the canvas (say, two 4x3's). Then I simply click on the image I want to move and drag it from its layers palette onto the blank background canvas, and move/edit/size as needed.
when I drag an image over to the blank canvas, it assumes the size of the entire canvas. so I just have the image... enlarged. With no background canvas. when I click on the new image (the one dragged to the canvas), all of the editing commands are grayed out. So I cannot resize or move it.I'm on CS5 (mac)
how do i open or drag multiple images onto the same window or blank background in elements 11? was easy in 2.0 as all images were available on same page. where is this option in 11?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor my job here I have a contoured map of a sand structure. I have converted that entire 2D map into a 3D map. Showing the elevation of the contours relative to the surface. I need to know how you can hatch or fill in with color the 3d polygons that are shaping the subsurface. When i try to hatch it, it works but it just pastes it at the surface at Z:0 and even if i bring that hatch down it won't form to the multidimensional polygon that i am trying to cover. Here is a pic of what I am trying to do.
The green / blue is the fault plane i have been able to plot as well as shade in using 3D Face, but the problem I run into for the RED contour lines is that they are arcs and when i use 3D Face it doesn't allow it to bend to conform with the arc shape.
I am working on a project and figuring out a way to fill a concave space I have with a seperate solid that takes up the exact amount of space. I would like for this new solid to be its own part. I will post a picture so you can understand what I am reffering to. As you can see, there is a concave space in the middle of the design; what I am looking to do is fill this area with a type of foam, so I need to model something that fills all the spaces up to the top plane.
I have tried using the thicken/offset tool but it gives me errors on vertexs and such and I have tried many different selection variants. I did get the space to fill in but then ran into the problem of it being all one solid, not something I could take out and make a different part, which is what I am looking to do.
I am just starting to learn Illustrator and am having an issue with filling an object. I am creating a box and when I fill that box the top acts as if there is a straight path even though there isn't. Also the right side of the box cuts only fills diagonally.One with the paths, two with the incomplete fill.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I am trying to use "fill hole" for this empty space on my mesh but it isn't working. I know I can figure out another solution to this problem but I want to know why it won't work.
First of all, when I double click the edge around the hole it doesn't just select the hole, it selects a huge ring that goes around the whole head for some reason (I'm attaching a picture).
Then when I select the edges around the hole one by one and select "fill hole" nothing happens and I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says "polycloseborder2" (I am also including a pic of this).
Is it me have I done a wrong move the eyedropper fill does not copy it only copy the outline it fail to copy the fill the properties box has been checked what should I do.

Often I want to add a color inside one of the holes, much like a coloring book, but there is no shape there, it is just empty. What is the quickest way to create a solid that fills that hole exactly?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have gotten to a point where I have the round text,, I have a seal with a blank space.. I would like to put the round text into the blank space,, but when I try, and no matter how I try,, the text is a white square with round text on it when I try to place it in the circle.
The other thought that came to me,, what if ..(the text circle size was a guess) the text does not fit.. how do I expand or collape it? I know I have in the pass while playing with round text.. gone back to that effect and changed angles, start points etc.. is that the only way?
I have attached what I have so far. ( I tried to attach the Paint.net file but I guess you can't, so these are the two I am working on,, as layers in Paint.net)
I'm using the latest Illustrator and I can't seem to select the fill. When I have selected a group of objects and try to paste it, I get the shapes outlines and not the fill. It seems like it is only selecting the stroke but the objects have no strokes.

I've got a webpage footer to edit and I don't have the .psd file so I'm trying to use content-aware to take out an unwanted part. Problem is, the background isn't one solid color and the area where I'm making the edit has a definitive color change...it's an actual line dividing the footer into two sections. So, whenever I do the content aware fill it doesn't keep that line or the colors the way they "should" be.
Is this a situation where having the .psd file is a must?

I would like to take a personal photo (like the one attached) against a solid off-white wall and then fill the background with a pattern (again, see the one attached). The idea is to have the digital pic look like it was taken against a professional background . . . how might i do this? I searched for the past 30 minutes and havent come up with an answer so i thought i'd post and see what you guys thought.
