Photoshop :: How To Change Color/tint

I'm trying to change the color scheme on a model/figure I photographed, but I don't know how. I've done a search in the help field, but it pulls up a ton of unrelated articles.Example of what I'd like to do: I have a photo of a model jet that is red, black, and white. I want to change the red to blue without changing the overall look of the color. I'm not sure how to articulate this, but I want to maintain the hue, saturation and variation in the color. If I select and delete the red, then fill the area using the paint bucket the new color is flat and uninspiring.

We get artwork from outside agencies with color boxes like those shown (CMYK, in percentages of 30, 50 and 100). Their color names may vary, or often the colors aren't in their color palette at all. I am supposed to recolor the boxes with our standard-named, global colors in my own swatch library. Two questions:
1. Is there a way to grab the three cyan boxes (for example), and recolor them with the global Cyan swatch, WITHOUT having the %tint in all three boxes become 100%?
What I do now, over and over in each file we receive: Select the three Cyan boxes, click on the "C" global swatch in my palette, watch them all change to 100%C. Then manually click on the left cyan box and change the tint back to 30%, and for the middle box, change it back to 50%. Etc. for the other colors. This is a PITA, and it just seems like there should be a quicker way.
2. Is there way to then recolor ALL the cyan elements (strokes, fills, gradients) used in the art with the same global cyan swatch, without changing the tints?

I've seen color gradations in the tint sliders (which makes selecting exactly what color hue you're shooting for easier). Is this a feature only in CS3 and above (just like the histogram display in the curves palette)?

I wish to set presets for certain color temps eg 4900 k 5200 k etc etc, since i am basically down to editing quickly by just clicking on presets.
The only think left i can not do this for is color temp and tint.
Any way i can create presets with just adjustments for temp and tint separately or only both together?

I updated my Mac OS to Mavericks. Now in Lightroom 5 I've noticed that in the Basic module the "temp" and "tint" slider buttons no longer appear in color, but rather in the same grayscale as the rest of the slider buttons. They still function normally but having the color appear on the slider worked for me in my workflow. how (or even if) it's possible to get the color back?

I am having this problem whenever I synchronize a folder that images have been added into.
Example: I have a folder of images in LR; I export all those images with a watermark, resized, etc. into a separate folder of proofs; even though I performed that batch process using LR, for some reason the app still won't see those images until I synchronize; when I do synchronize, it is shifting the color temp to +8 and the tint to -11; I then have to go back and undo that color temp shift.
How do I get LR to stop changing the color temp of images when synchronizing?

Lightroom 5.2 I have been trieing to copy and paste settings from one .dng file into the next in the develop module. I tried to copy (shift command c) the color temperature and tint and paste in the other file (shift command v) but nor Kelvin nor green magenta balance changes.

I have been trying to mess with and target "tints" via javascript but either I am not understanding something or it cant be targeted as I had hoped, so I am looking for direction and guidance. I have a spot color assigned in the color swatches palette, and have drawn a few boxes on the page using this spot swatch. I then try to alter the tint using JS code.
sel[i].tint = // whatever number
alert(sel[i].tint) // This alerts fine
The alert shows a change taking place but it never gets applied to the item, the actual item never gets changed. I know things are properly targeted as I can change other attributes fine. When I look in the JS documentation it just shows for when creating a new spot, not for ones that already exist on items, I cant seem to find an example otherwise.
Can tint be adjusted for items on the page that have a spot color applied?

Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.

When I have any kind of layer, and I want to change the foreign or background color (with the color picker) I just cant. When I click on the foreign or background color it automatically selects the eyedropper tool, and I don't want this to happen.

A while back I saw a video about using the video editing capabilities. In particular the video showed a car with a colored sheet over it and the in the video the sheet was either pulled off the car or the car moved out from under the sheet (I cant remember which). Then the video showed how to use the color replace tool to change the color of the sheet throughout the entire video.

In photoshop elements 11, in a photo collage, in graphic tab, how do i change the background to a color in the color wheel?
Same thing for the graphics, i only have 6 choices, i want to add a graphic stored on my pc or other ones in the program.
In photoshop elements 11, in a photo book, page 2 and 3 are stored as one image, and have to have the same background color, and layout, how do i change that?

I have a solid red image and I want to change that red to an exact red hex code I have. Is there a way to change this color without affecting the quality of the image? I thought this would be really easy, but everything I've found online doesn't give me the color I want, or It doesn't allow me to be 100% accurate.

how to make watermark images that goes at the bottom right corner of Special Folders such as "My Images", or "My Music". They talk about image tinting :
"The large watermark in the bottom right of the folder is 150x150 pixels. It's designed to be anchored to the bottom of the page. Tint the image blue (R71G94B148) and screen back to about 12% opacity with an alpha channel."
I don't know how to perform this blue tinting on my image in Photoshop.

i dont believe its been like this the whole time i've had photoshop. but anyways. ANYTHING in photoshop has a bit of a pink tint to it. tho i can save whatever im working on, look at it with another app. and it will be fine. i have an example here.
right is the saved file. looks normal. left is the file viewed in photoshop, and has a pink tint to it.

I'm a Photoshop CS4 convert and until recently have been printing beautiful photos using my Canon Pixma MP800. Recently I got a new computer, a HP Z400 Workstation. Runs perfectly, except now I find that my photos are printing out with this disguting magenta tint. I've recalibrated the screen and made sure the proper printer drivers were selected, uuninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers from Canon's website, unset and reset my printer as the default printer, checked all my print settings and color settings in Photoshop, made sure I had the correct paper settings selected and tried both Printer manages color and Photoshop manages color, all to no avail.I've spoken to Canon Tech Support and verified that the printer is printing correctly. I've printed out pictures that I've downloaded from the internet and that are in my Sample Photos folder in My documents and the color is perfect. But as soon as I go to print anything that has been through Photoshop, the magenta returns.

The version they have is 5.5, every picture I load has a pink and black tint to it. The pictures will load fine in the windows explorer browser. I looked in the manual but had to idea where to start.
why my pictures won't appear correctly on the screen after loading them.
I went to Image -> Mode -> RGB but it didn't change. I am opening .jpg files.

I have recently installed CS3 and it seems every picture i throw in there will get a reddish tint to the skin of the person in the photo. Makes everyone look like they have a sunburn. I'm not sure if its some filter that is being applied or what. In the windows preview for this images I do not have this problem. Paint and Adobe Bridge CS3 also do not have this issue.

I try to change my color settings but no luck. I changed my RGB settings to my monitor's default, and that corrected them, but my grayscale images have a redish tint to them. where I can download a new color management file?

I have taken several photos with an infared camera but for some reason when i have opened the photos they all seem to be very 'red'. These photos are important so i just wanted to see if anyone could offer me some advise on how to filter out the redness in photoshop to get the picture back to its original state.

I did a screen calibration earlier today. And it went great and everything is perfect. After the calibration I decided to work in Photoshop for some retouching. Everything was great. I closed out and then restarted the program a little later, but now the photos are coming up with a green tint. But if I preview them in the Microsoft image viewer or paint or anything else they look fine.
