I have Photoshop files that have UI elements but i don't know how to use it in illustrator as with normal copy and paste it doesn't work, i tried to open the files in illustrator and although i choose the option convert layers to objects but that doesn't work as all layers are converted to a one whole image ?
I need to be able to view ai files and convert them to pdf's but don't want to go to the expense of downloading Illustrator because I am not interested in creating artwork.
I have around 300 Illustrator ai files I need to convert into PNG. They need to
have transparent background (not white)be 500x500 pxbe centered in the image (all of them aren't squared: if it's rectangular, it needs to be centered) How do I achieve this?
I have a new IMac on OS X Mavericks. I am to to the CC level. I have 25 years of Freehand files that I need access to. How can I convert these files to get them open in CC.
My designer just sent me some background texture files in jpg format but they actually need to be in png. Am I able to convert these jpg to png without losing quality, or do I need to ask her to generate the png from the original file?
I am working on a museum project. I have been asked to convert full resolution files to web based files using "Save for Web and Devices". The problem is in the file naming. Museums typically use accession #s for each work. Example 1999.63.102 So the digital file would be named 1999.63.102.jpg (or tif).
When I attempt to save the file using "Save for Web and Devices" the resulting name is converted to 1999.jpg I believe the . (periods) to be the culprit. There are hundreds to do so renaming is not an option. This does not occur when I use "Save as".
My computer crashed and luckily I managed to save a back up copy of all my photoshop brushes. Problem is that they are all in png format and I need to convert them to abr. I've got well over 2000 brushes and this will take me forever to do. Is there a program or a quick way to convert all these png files to abr so I can put them in my brush file?
Years ago I scanned old family photos using Adobe Photoshop and saved them as pdf files. Now I don't have the software to open them. I've read online that I may have success if I download software called Image Converter Plus. Should I go that route or will today's Adobe Photoshop software convert them? I currently do not own any of the Adobe products.
I'm building palette's for another application that is not presently capable of reading the Adobe Color Swatch file .aco and would like to initially develop the palette in CS6 Photoshop, save the swatch file and then produce a file in similar fashion as is already used in Flash; namely the .clr file; e.g. the sample below where the last values given on each line are in RGB.
wrangle the .aco into an RGB ASCII, either from within PS or from some other application ?
I recently downloaded cs5 and it won't download .mp4 files to layers. whenever i go to file > import > video frames to layers, the mp4 files are greyed out and i can only click on .avi files.
there is no high quality converter from mp4 to avi, so it's quite frustrating.
I have a few files that I need to make ASAP into banners that are 19ft x 15ft and many other sizes. I can only change into a RAW Photoshop or a tiff. I tried saving into a tiff then converting but nothing is working.
I was also going to try to convert into a AI program then into a vector but with no luck.
im having problems with saving my tiff files and converting. once i convert them to jpegs to email or go to the printers, they are changed and are washed out as if the org tiff before editing. when i open on my comp they are ok but when emailed to someone or once printed are destroyed. i dont
think is my colour management as org jpegs files are fine. below are some details of the process. the thumbnails on my mac are even off with colour.i open my file (pro photo RGB, 16bit, 3888x2592 10.1MP)i edit the photo. if saving in jpeg i change to 8bit and save with the embedded colour profile button clicked
When i try to convert the ARW files with dng converter ver.6.2 it returns the error "The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files."I have a Sony NEX6 which is not explicitly listed as supported. The nex 6 is very similar to the NEX5 that is supported.
I just bought a Nikon D7000 camera & need to convert Nikon RAWS (NEF) files & they are not recognized by my Adobe CS4 on my Mac 0sX 10.6.8
Do I need to update to CS5 or CS6. Also, would like the new software to allow me to still convert older pre-existing RAWS that are in my photo archives.
After much work, and after I convert my Nikon D7100 NEF files to DNG, Camera Raw starts when I open the DNG file. What is very strange it that it indicates I am using Camera Raw 7.1 with a Nikon D7100 file.
(Strangely enough, I have not found a way to launch Camera Raw directly.)

Anyway, I have only 2 tools in camera raw: Basic and detail.
I absolutely need the chromatic aberration tool. And a few others would be great.
In elements 10 i used to be able to convert multiple .nef files to various jpeg resolutions at one time by using "process multiple files" under the file heading. When i try to do this inelements 11, that option is unavailable (unhighlighted). How do i do this?
I just purchased the Canon T4i and us PE9. PE9 doesn't support the new raw format. I tried using Adobe DNG converter as Adobe recommended. That didn't worl either. How to convert these raw files so that PE9 will recognize them?
I have a D7100 and PSE10 -- I learned (after the fact...) that PSE 10 can not open D7100 RAW files. I have tried using the DNG converter but do not want to have to do this. I also purchased Lightroom 5 in ordert to solve the problem, but again (after the fact...) learned that LR5 doesn't work with VISTA, which is that my desktop has. I know mostly my fault for not researching enough.... but I really just want to open the D7100 RAW files directly in ACR. Will PSE 11 support D7100 RAW files without having to convert to DNG first?
