View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter much work, and after I convert my Nikon D7100 NEF files to DNG, Camera Raw starts when I open the DNG file. What is very strange it that it indicates I am using Camera Raw 7.1 with a Nikon D7100 file.
(Strangely enough, I have not found a way to launch Camera Raw directly.)

Anyway, I have only 2 tools in camera raw: Basic and detail.
I absolutely need the chromatic aberration tool. And a few others would be great.
Where do I get this ? How do I install it ?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a D7100 and PSE10 -- I learned (after the fact...) that PSE 10 can not open D7100 RAW files. I have tried using the DNG converter but do not want to have to do this. I also purchased Lightroom 5 in ordert to solve the problem, but again (after the fact...) learned that LR5 doesn't work with VISTA, which is that my desktop has. I know mostly my fault for not researching enough.... but I really just want to open the D7100 RAW files directly in ACR. Will PSE 11 support D7100 RAW files without having to convert to DNG first?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use Elements 10 to convert Panasonic RAW files to JPEGs for web use. The batch runs, but prompts for a "save" location at every file. I have reinstalled Elements, reinstalled the Camera RAW update, and have ensured I have ownership of source and destination folders (in Windows 7).
I have tried several folders, set up test folders etc. and nothing seems to work.
I used Adobe DNG Converter version 8.3.0.141 to convert .rw2 files created by my Panasonic Lumix FZ200 camera. These files won't transfer into the Organizer and, when trying to open them from the Editor, I get an error message saying the file can't be opened "because it is the wrong type of file".

I am an avid amateur I think I need to change from Photoshop Elements to CC or PSCS. What would be the most cost effective way to accomplish this goal?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a museum project. I have been asked to convert full resolution files to web based files using "Save for Web and Devices". The problem is in the file naming. Museums typically use accession #s for each work. Example 1999.63.102 So the digital file would be named 1999.63.102.jpg (or tif).
When I attempt to save the file using "Save for Web and Devices" the resulting name is converted to 1999.jpg I believe the . (periods) to be the culprit. There are hundreds to do so renaming is not an option. This does not occur when I use "Save as".
I want to convert my DGN files to DWG files.
So I write this code in LISP:
(defun C:Batch_DGN2DWG (/path dgnfile SDI_Mode) (setq path "C:\DGN\" ;;Default path for DGN files location. DGNIMPORTMODE 0 ;;Imports the DGN file in a new drawing file. SDI_Mode SDI ;;Save Current SDI MODE SDI 1 ;;SET Single Drawing Mode for AutoCAD. );;setq (foreach dgnfile (vl-directory-files path "*.DGN" 1) (progn (command "-dgnimport" (strcat path dgnfile) "" "" "" "y" (strcat path dgnfile ".DWG")) (delay 100) );;progn );;foreach (setq SDI SDI_Mode) ;;restrore SDI Mode to previous value.)
but I can't finish it!
I attached some DGN files for test purpose.
My computer crashed and luckily I managed to save a back up copy of all my photoshop brushes. Problem is that they are all in png format and I need to convert them to abr. I've got well over 2000 brushes and this will take me forever to do. Is there a program or a quick way to convert all these png files to abr so I can put them in my brush file?

I've read online that I may have success if I download software called Image Converter Plus. Should I go that route or will today's Adobe Photoshop software convert them? I currently do not own any of the Adobe products.

wrangle the .aco into an RGB ASCII, either from within PS or from some other application ?

I just bought a Nikon D7000 camera & need to convert Nikon RAWS (NEF) files & they are not recognized by my Adobe CS4 on my Mac 0sX 10.6.8

I have many PSD files from photoshop – with layers, masks, adjustment layers, nested groups, smart filters, layer styles and editable text at 600dpi with embedded color profiles. The idea is to import them all into lightroom and make a book.
Should I flatten the files and make them into tiffs or jpegs?
Does it make sense to keep them at 600dpi or Blurb will downsample them to 300 anyway? (if so I would rather do it myself, if not is there an option to control the output resolution?) What happens to color? – How do I ensure the best match between what I see on the screen and what the book will look like?
