Im a beginner to photoshop and have been working on a logo for my upcoming business venture....but i am stuck trying to make some text that i made look frozen or made out of ice....something along the lines of this..
View 6 RepliesI am trying to edit photos using actions I purchased for PS CS6. I started on a batch of photos from the same shoot. I got about 7 shots deep and suddenly I can't "Play" any of the actions. I can't do anything with regards to actions. I do not know how to fix this! I have a client waiting for photos and I can't do anything.

Essentially when I open up the liquify tool, even if I just press cancel, Photoshop will just freeze and I have to kill the process manually. I suspect it is a video card issue, so I checked and ensure the laptop is using the latest driver. Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family (driver version: 8.15.10.2869, ig4icd64.dll)
Since I am already running the latest driver, what else can I do to rectify this problem?
The registration screen is frozen. I restarted the computer but same thing happened. I cannot use Photoshop.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem, I did change a preference for storage of photos to and external harddrive because of large files prior to any trouble is all I can think off ,but if that is the problem..how do I change that preference if I can't open the program, Im on a mac 10.8, its only a month old etc ..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had been working on an edit for way too long and of course i didnt save it the entire time because im terrible i guess, I wanted to see what the deal with Lens Flare was so i went Filter>Render>Lens Flare to check it out. I hated it and immediately removed the flare with no problems.
Then I was going to go back to Lens Flare to see if i could adjust it into something sort of decent but i accidentally went Filter>Render>Lighting Effects and it locked my Photoshop up (yes my computer sucks). I then started to panic because of the extensive amount of time i put into this edit without saving it.
I opened Photoshop and it loaded up the recovered file i was working on. Unfortunately it has the terrible lens flare from my first attempt attached to it and im not able to undo or anything. Is there anything i can do to get rid of the lens flare?
using PS CS3 on mac 10.8.6 - been fine for years and was OK two days ago. Now when I open it I get a blank window (just the yellow dot upper left) and all else is frozen - can't even quit. Used 'force quit' which works but does NOT say that it is not responding.
Tried rebooting and restarting etc - no change.I know its old but it was fine for my purposes - and I have not changed anything.
In Bridge I got an error message saying I needed to purge the cache folder, but when I attempt to do that, everything freezes and I have to force quit Bridge. I was told to go to the Bridge cache folder in "library" and delete specific folders there to solve my problem. Unfortunately, I cannot find "library' neither by opening folders and looking nor by doing a search for "library".

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was looking for a video editing program, and after reading good reviews for VSP x6 I downloaded the trial. It installed and started up the first time fine without any problems. I was able tinker with the program and began to like it.
However, I closed it out to take a break, then came back to it (same day, and hour later) now every time on startup it hangs on the overlayed "Corel Guide" flash intro. The window pops up and allows navigation of the "Corel Guide" and I am able to click-through of the links, but it will not collapse the guide or let me use the actual program at all. I also can not close the program either without using task manager. I am only on day 1 of the 30 day trial. I have attached a screenshot.
My cpu should be able to handle the program without a problem, it is running Win7 64bit, with 16GB Ram, AMD Phenom II x6 Processor, 3.20Ghz
I have a Render message that reads in red type "FTL: Virtual device creation failed." And I'm unable to click out of the message box, or click OK or cancel. Nothing happens. There seems to be a problem with my screen as well, it holds onto prior open windows and I'm unable to have a fresh window in Max. Does any of this have anything to do with os Windows 7 Home Premium vs. Pro or Ultimate? Even some of the tasks in Max don't seem to be initializing. For example, I tried to Manage>Set up Project and clicked on file in Windows 7 Home Premium and nothing happens.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt occurs only in Corel Video Studio Pro X3 ... two extra (frozen) frames for free. In other programs all frames of my camera act correct.
At the beginning of each video file there are two extra frames at the timeline, so each video file starts with three identical frames and that causes each file starts with 0,12 sec frozen video.
When I remove the two frames, two frozen frames are added at the end if a file! In the end-product there are three frozen frames between each cut! And 0,12 seconds is visible …
In trying to import image files in CorelDraw X3, I click to select file file to import and Corel freezes showing the hourglass and I get "not responding". It is locked!
All else works fine. I tried re-install, default reset and looked for any upgrades with no success. I'm running on XP Professional and SP3.
When working with an xref background, we are experiencing really bad lag, and delays when working with objects that are drawn on top of an xref. I have restarted the affected computers, restarted the server that all files are housed on, upgraded the network switch...with no results. Tasks that should take fractions of a second, are sometimes lagging anywhere from 3-15 seconds depending on what layers of the xref are un-frozen and visible.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhenever I freeze an object, either with "Display Frozen meshes in gray" turned off or on, they disappear completely from the scene. Even though they are still there, because if I "Unfreeze All" the meshes will pop back in the scene.
Almost as if freezing the object also automatically hides it, which is very problematic.

What can I do if I am unable to retreive my Serial Number? I've entered my redemption code, clicked "Redeem", and NOTHING! It does nothing. I've triple checked the number. It's right. It's just not submitting it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a sub that gets a page number and a collection of layer ID's to freeze. The sub will freeze the selected layers in all of the viewports except for the new one.
After running the program, the layers in the specific viewport are still visible, but when you go into Model mode in the viewport and check the layer status, it shows the selected layers are set to Freeze in the viewport.
If I save the drawing, exit,and re-open it, the layers are now not visible. I believe I have the "Regen" in the correct spot.

I'm using a typed value list to create a selection filter to use with Editor.SelectAll(filter) method. The selection returns both frozen & un-frozen entities. Is there a way to filter out frozen objects using the filter?

"Creates a new layer and freezes it in all existing layout viewports. This button is accessible from the model tab or layout tabs".
Key words here being EXISTING and LAYOUT viewports. So I've got an existing xref attached to an existing layout and per the displayed tip this means, to me, any new layer created within the xref that has this option enabled will be frozen in all existing layouts.
Since a layout is a viewport, I assume this means the layout itself, not a viewport object used for viewing modelspace content from a layout.
Even if this means a viewport object used for viewing modelspace content, that doesn't work either, so what exactly is the point of this feature?
Another problem already! My tool options dialog box is greyed out and will not respond; won't allow me to choose options.
I clicked it off and brought it back (via windows, etc.) but it's still grey and nonfunctioning.
How can i make it work?
One of the computers that have AutoCad installed will not load all the way. It will start to show the welcome screen and the it will freeze. Looking on the internet that you go into task manager and kill the process called WSCommCntr, but it is not appearing in the task manager.
Originally the pc was on XP SP2 and with .Net 3.5. I updated both to the latest version. I have reinstalled AutoCad and I am still getting the issue. All hardware checks passed.
Also the issue sounds just like the one here URL.... , but I uninstalled the .Net Framework and reinstalled version 3.5 SP1. That did not work so I uninstalled that and put on 3.5. This still is not working.
I have an assembly file I am trying to put together with parts I downloaded from grab cad. I believe the parts were originally modelled in solidworks. I tried scaling some of the parts to be more my size and was directed to inventor fusion where I was able to scale the parts but now the assembly is acting strangely. As soon as a part gets one constraint applied to it n the assembley the part wont move like it is grounded but its not. When I click degrees of freedom it says the part has some. Why the assembly is acting like this? The file is attached.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne is as follows: I start in library mode/grid. I have a publish service that exports to hard drive, with some folders configured. I click on any folder, I see the correct pictures. Clicking on any folder inside the service lets me see the right pictures. Now I click on any other folder outside of the publish service (say, a collection, a smart collection, a folder... whatever) and... neither the thumbnails in the grid nor the filmstrip at the bottom are updated; the only part of the screen which is updated is the filmstrip description (i.e. I read Collection: blahblah, 123 photos).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been working with both Corel Draw 12 and and at some point Photo Paint just froze. Empty main area, just one docker opened. Doesn't matter where I click on the screen, the same metallic clicking response. I uninstalled the whole suite and installed it again.
No difference, the same screen starts and the same freeze. I can only close it using Task Manager. Corel Draw works find and Photo Paint works fine on the other computer on which I installed it at the same time.
Lately, whenever Civil 3D crashes, my menus and ribbons would freeze, but my command line still works. It's like the entire user interface locks up. I'm able to workaround the problem by rebooting the computer and then recovering any drawings I had open at the time of the crash.
