Jun 29, 2013I occasionally use the option when saving an edited picture to just overwrite the original. I would have thought that this option might go further by having the program default of making the saved copy the the same size as the original or if its dimensions had altered save at the same resolution& degree of compression.

Mar 21, 2014I am working on a slideshow that exceeds the recommended 500-slide maximum.
As with many of my previous projects, all of which were much shorter, it is plagued by freezing. also the slides tend to corrupt. they may black out and even to black out only on playback with no indication that they're blacked out. finally, navigation is extremely slow.
I disabled anyone the analysis function, but this didn't work. I'm thinking about getting pse 12, but how do i know if this problem has been corrected.

Sep 16, 2012When creating slideshows in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0 I do not get any audio/music in the .pdf file.
I can get audio in preview and if I create a .wmv file but not in the .pdf file.
I have tried to add the document as a trusted document in the preferences.
I have tried with Adobe reader 7.0, 9 and X. Nothing works.
Note: My music is longer than the slideshow since I would like music during the whole slideshow. It is one music file. I run on a PC, Windows XP, service pack 3.

May 14, 2003Can someone please explain to me about file sizes and image dimensions. I have to put together a collage which is 165mm high by 258mm wide. If I click file new and choose default resolution (72) then the file size is ok, if I type in 300 dpi the image becomes huge.
If i chosse 300 dpi then the images I was going to use seem tiny on such a vast workspace - Im confused why does the canvas become so large when changing resolution?

Jul 6, 2006I reduced the size of a couple of pictures in Photoshop, but the dpi also reduced based on the size. I have saved the picture with this resolution. Now the problem is that when i am trying to get this printed, the website asks that the picture be atleast 300dpi to get quality pictures. I cannot not reduce the size of the images, as these pictures need to be embedded in a word file.
My question is - if i increase the dpi for the existing saved pictures will it help or should i go about reducing the size of the original picture and also maintain the dpi right from scratch.

Since I need it for print, I increased it to 300dpi and it looks really jagged and blurred. I tried to search for a vector version, but couldn't find it. This is how it looks:
I tried all the filters as well, but couldn't find one that suits me (cutout is the closest, but it still looks horrible). I'm using Photoshop CS5.

Mar 1, 2003A friend took a digital photo with his camera best quality, tiff, and PS showed it had a 72 dpi resolution but a big size: about 70 x 60 cm. (I don't remember the pixels size but it looked high).
I thought the resolution was very low for obtaining a good print but it can be printed with good quality at a 16 x 20 in size. Which is the equivalences between resolution, image size and pixels size? How you convert one mesure to another? Can I forget about resolution and care only about pixels size?
