May 22, 2009I know on photoshop you can change such effects as brightness etc in adjustment settings but is it possible to change apply these effects to specific parts of a photo for example increase the contrast on 1 individuals face in a photo but not on anothers?

Sep 25, 2007I've taken a picture on a digital camera in a dimly lit room. Having downloaded it to PC, the picture has a horrible yellow/orange tinge from the light bulb. How can I correct this using Photoshop CS and improve the colours without washing them out or introducing image noise.

Dec 1, 2013I'm an amateur artist who sometimes used, in Photoshop Elements 9, a filter in the "render" category that could change the lighting. It was terrific for creating things like candlelight, campfire glows, or (in this admittedly amateurish backdrop for my website) sunrises through objects. Now I have Photoshop Elements 12, and the feature has vanished! Is there a legal way to transfer it from 9 to 12, since it's all from the same company? Or would that violate the tampering ban even though it's from one Adobe product to another? If it's legal, where is the filter stored, and where do I move it to? Apr 24, 2013I'm using Elements 9 and I've never had any problems with it until today. When I tried to use the Adjust Shadows feature under Adjust Lighting, the program became unresponsive. It wouldn't allow me to do anything at all. I had to exit the program using the Task Manager. I tried two more times to see if I was doing something wrong, but I followed the same process I've been using for years and each time the program would freeze.

Nov 20, 2013When trying to place an image into a new document in photoshop elements 12, I select all-copy-paste the image (or even drag it) over to the new doc created. However, when I do this - the image does not paste in at the same size. It typically shrinks down in size.  Do I have to save the file, close out and then open the new doc and PLACE it in the document in order for it to keep size? There must be a better way to do this. Basically, how can I drag a photo that is 4x6 over to a new doc while keeping the size at 4x6.Â
