Mar 12, 2013I use Inventor 2013 regularly and only sometimes require the use of AutoCAD, mainly for 2D electrical layout drawings.
I have saved my drawing .idw template file from Inventor to a .dwg
Inserted it into AutoCAD .dwg
Saved as an AutoCAD .dwt
now the only issue that I have, is the image that I had embedded into the inventor drawing template, shows up as an icon instead of my compnay logo:
Is AutoCAD capable of showing images in a title block and hwo would I go about deleting the current icon image and replace it with the logo?
I tried deleting the current image in block editor but it won't let me select it.

Aug 29, 2012At the bottom of the Organizer screens it always says "972 items dated etc". But then depending on something I do, possibly with tags, it sometimes shows "36 items not shown" for a total of 1008. Note the View does not show any hidden files. One thing I noticed is when I put just one photo in an album and click on the album it will say "1 item found 1007 items not found for a total of 1008.
What concerns me most is that I have 36 photos floating around somewhere that I can't see.
Photoshop Elements :: How To Move And Copy Items From One Catalog To Another
Feb 21, 2014I have two enhancements that would really make my day in Photoshop Elements Organizer:
The first would be the ability to move and copy items from one catalog to another. This might entail being able to have more than one catalog open at a time. I could then drag and drop or copy an item from one to another. I have several items in a family picture catalog that more appropriately belong in my genealogy catalog. The only way to rectify this now is to delete from the one catalog and then recreate it in the other.The second would be the capability to stream albums directly to my Smart TV. Windows Media Player can currently do this, but I would have to recreate my albums in Windows Media Player, which seems a waste of time if I have already built albums in the Elements catalog. (There apparently is a way to do this currently using iTunes and an Apple TV device, but I would like to be able to do this directly from Elements). The above two enhancements would be really cool!!

Photoshop Elements :: Wood Art Items - Touch Up Background In Photo
Jan 4, 2013I use a light box to take pictures of my wood art items. The walls of the light box are made from foam core boards and light wooden frame for increased stability. Even though I can place a poster board for background color inside the light box and curve it up the back to create a seamless surrounding, parts of the corners may get in the picture.
I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements 11 and am in the learning curve. Can I touch up the areas of the light box corners that show up in the photo? This is probably done in Editor. I have used another "old" editor Microsoft Picture It! Publishing Platinum 2001 for years where I would use paint to touch up the background or cover up something in the background. But it was difficult to get the background colors to match even if the color was white.

Nov 14, 2013I have a small sublimation business whereby I print photo's onto small personalised gifts such as mugs, phone covers fridge magnets. I print out the images to fit the size of the gift i.e. a phone cover or mug the images are a specific size.
Often I want to print multiple items onto one page each with a customised size as the paper is expensive and I need to make the most of every sheet. I can't figure out how to do this in photoshop elements 12. I am using windows XP

Apr 17, 2013I am hoping to link text items between pages and items in the drawing such as elevations?
So, ideally, I would have a front page to my drawing set, and this would have a 'Contents' type table on it, with the title name of each drawing in one column, then the drawing number in the next column. This is the tricky bit, someone must know: If i was to change the name / number of any item in this table, could it change also (linked to) the following items:
Drawing title (as a text idem on the layout sheet that that drawing relates to)
Drawing number (as a text idem on the layout sheet that that drawing relates to)
Elevation call-out (on the plan view)
And possibly:
Excel reference cell
Drawing layout tab title (this might be pushing it!!)
Perhaps this could be done by linking to an external Excel spreadsheet with these titles modified in there? I'm not sure. This would be ideal as typing into excel is a lot easier than the triple click text modify method required currently.
I waste a lot of time renaming and updating sheet names / titles / numbers. Are there standard templates for drawing sets that may have this built in available anywhere that I could try?

Dec 6, 2012The "title bar" (with the red yellow green circle icons) is missing on my Photoshop Elements 11 window. It used to be there and I used it to move the picture window up to my secondary display; that way I can keep the command windows on my Macbook screen and they don't cover the picture. How to get the title bar back? I've looked under the view and window menu items and can't find anything. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it looks like some information was maintained after the de-install. The window came back to the same size it was before the uninstall.

Apr 30, 2013I have collected 185 photos for my son's high school graduation. Many of them I scanned from old photos, the rest are digital. I painstakingly put them in chronological order and named them,scan1, scan2, scan3...etc. When I imported them into PS 9 they were all out of order. I saved them to an album so that I could re-order them, but I don't see "reorder by title" as an option. Is there a solution? I was hoping to create a slide show and photo book, but they need to be in chronological order. The ones I scanned are all dated the same even if some were infant pics and some teenager - so that doesn't work.

Oct 14, 2013I just purchased, downloaded and installed PSE 12. I am running Windows 7. Everything seems to be working fine. My question is this: Why are the titles in tlhe menu bar (task bar?) at the top so small? When you actually pull down the menu it is fine but the titles (file, edit, image, filters etc) are extremely small and very hard to see. Also the path selection tool is just a dot (actually two tiny dots) and not the normal cursor arrow.

Sep 10, 2012Any method when in the Library module to quickly edit the Title and Caption per image without having to use the mouse to click in the Title box each time. For instance - my current workflow is a bunch of products with their own SKU titles. Usually I would follow this step:
1. Import images from Camera -> Lightroom
2. Open Library and click on first image, select the Title field and enter the SKU (for instance : HG4356)
3. Now I would click in Title and type in "PROFILE" or "TOP" or "SIDE"
4. I would then use the right hand key on the keyboard to move to the next image in my filmstrip and then have to use the mouse to click into the Title field again.
5. Once all these images are completey named, I select them all and then select Library -> Rename Photos and use the Title_Caption as my fields and rename all my files to the correct SKU names.
I can usually automate option 3 somewhat by selecting all the PROFILE views and doing a sync etc... but the SKU section gets a bit tedious when having to mouse click each time into the field. Ideally, I would like a "Naming" feature where it asks for the name, upon typing it in and pressing enter, it jumps to the next image, into the same field and you can start typing again.
I know its sounds a bit lazy - but when you have over a 1000+ images to rename - it does take its time - and anything to speed up this process.

Apr 26, 2013The title blocks that we use have prompted entries in them and I would like to find a way using iLogic to copy the entries from one title block to another within the same drawing; i.e.. if the user decides to change from an A2 to A1 drawing.
I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.

Apr 4, 2013our office is having an issue with certain drawings when we create a plot file to be printed by an outside printing company. Other drawings which are set up to plot in the exact same way do not seem to have this problem.
The issue is that everything within the viewport plots as shown in the print preview, however; some of the paperspace elements on our title block do not print. OLE objects, additional viewports for legends, and brackets that are in paperspace are not printing.
