Photoshop Elements :: Transfer Picture Files From One PC To Another?
Dec 16, 2012My old PC's motherboard shot craps so I bought a new one to replace it. I have the old hard drive from my previous PC. I had Best Buy move the pictures from my old hard drive onto the new PC. I reinstalled Photoshop on my new PC. When I accessed the picture files, the pictures do not have the any of the markers I placed on them (face recognition, events, etc.). How do I recover this information.

May 15, 2012It appears that Photoshop on an osx machine is also creating a ._Pictures Name.jpg file for each jpg in the same folder as the jpg. Is that a Photoshop or osx thing? is there a way to prevent all those extra files from being created?
We put the folders of jpg's on the windows server, then have to go through and manually kill all those ._files before we can use the folder.

Oct 18, 2013I cannot seem to open any picture files in Photoshop CC. It doesn't seem to matter what file type it is..jpg .gif .png no file will open. They open just fine in Illustrator but Photoshop can't seem to find them.
I've tried modifying what program "opens" the file but Photoshop isn't listed. Window Media Player is listed, as is Illustrator but I have to search for Photoshop and when I click on it, it doesn't do anything.

Dec 23, 2012Attempting to add text to pic. Tonight, however, the size of font that comes in is super-small -- so small that I need to bump it up to 72 (but even at that it is too small on the pic. Also: I notice that the text font now shows in pixels rather than inches.
All I want is to be able to add a simple phrase or two, but Text Tool is showing my words as super-small even at the 72 pix.
Would perhaps my resetting preferences yesterday have anything to do w/this? Should I be adding text to pics in INCHES rather than PIXELS?
Also -- my pic is at resolution of 600 and doc size is 20 x 20.
