With PSE_6 under Windows 8.1, the Editor doesn't offer saving of changed picture files in stack, though it creates stacks in Organzer automatically. Any solution?
View 2 RepliesI just installed PSE 11 on my Mac (OS X 10.8.2). My previous version (PSE 6) would re-open all files that had been open when I quit the app last time, but this version always opens with a blank screen. I can't find any preference in PSE to affect this, and the overall Mac setting is set properly. How can I get PSE to remember what files I was working on?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Illustrator swatch panel is far more advanced and user-friendly than the PS version, i.e. create swatch folders, move and delete colours from anywhere in the order etc.
I'm increasingly surprised that Adobe haven't improved it with new releases (I am now using CC software and still nothing).
Are there any plans to match the Illustrator functionality?
I use XPE regularly to edit photos and save them in JPEG format to My Picture folders. However, since yesterday the files that get saved after editing, are no longer JPEGs but some unsupported file which cannot be opened. (See screen shot of properties.) I have tried everything I can think of to fix this, but the results are always the same.
If I edit the photographs with Picasa, there is no problem with the edited output to a folder.
If I save the XPE edited files to the Desktop instead of a folder, they are also alright. I am using Windows 7 Home.
take jpg + RAW pics with my DSLR, for the most part the jpgs come out fine but now and again I like to tinker with the RAW's. So I like to keep both incase I'm inclined to tinker in the future.
To keep my photo catalogue looking neat and tidy I stack the jpg and RAW so only the single image shows. I can obviously select both images and the select stack, or I can select a whole load of images and select auto stack which then suggests stacks based on photo likeness. This is OK sometimes, but often many images are of the same subject and I don't want 10 stacked, just the 2 same files in jpg + RAW. Is there a way to automatically stack the same file number jpg + RAW?
I have downloaded PE 12 & for some reason its Editor is not saving any changes I made despite ticking all relevant save boxes. It behaves very strangely - it does save 1 photo & then it stops saving . I was thinking it might be an interference with a previous PE11 versio - so I have deleted it from my PC - but it did not work. As a result it is useless for me - as I can process photos in my editor but as it does not save any changes

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from PSE5 to PSE12. The installation went smoothly and my old Catalog was imported without a hitch. After my first test run to edit a file, I did a "Save As" in a version set with the original. I then closed the file, but when I went to the organizer, it was not there. When I go to the folder in Windows Explorer, the edited file is present - I just can't get it to appear (alone or in a version set) in the Organizer. (FYI, I am running Windows 8).

When I double click a jpg file to open it in the editor the editor opens but the image does not open. However if I open the editor and open any jpg file then double click on another file it will open.
I'm now able to import my Cr2 files and look at in APE11 but as soon as I go to the Editor it tells me it cant. Is there somewhere to also put the new 8.3 update for my 70D camera in the editor?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to Elements 12 from version 6 and find that if I select a file in the organizer, select "Edit with Photoshop Elements editor", carry out the editing and save the file with the boxes for "include in elements organizer" and "Save in Version Set with original" checked the edited photo is not automatically included in the organizer nor stacked. On returning to the Organizer it tells me that a new photo has been found in the watched folders and I have to import it and stack it manually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a vector in the trial version of Photoshop CS6 that I acquired this Friday(?), and I'm running into a troublesome dilemma every time I re-open the file to work on at a later date. I find that some layers -- not all, but maybe five or six -- have changed their color to whichever color is in my palette, or whatever was in my palette the last time I opened Photoshop.
Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this a current glitch in this version of CS6? And in case you're wondering, yes, I have tried saving with all shape layers locked before I close; it made no difference.
I have a drawing of my car that is purple and would like the color to be changed back to green the same color as my car. (Red, Yellow and Blue would be cool too. Just change the Blue bumpers/bars to Black).
