Photoshop Elements :: Computer And Cannon Camera Will Not Connect Now When Trying To Load New Pictures?
Dec 24, 2012
I am trying to load new pictures on my hp with my cannon camara, but now it states "wait, locating device", what has happend within the last several days to prevent from loading new photos.
I just purchased a Nikon D7100 and after taking some pictures I tried to load them on Photoshop Elements 11. When doing so I got an error message stating "Nothing was imported. The files or folders selected for importing did not contain any supported file types ot the files are already in this catalog" (they aren't already in the catalog.
I bought a new, faster, more storage Windows 8 computer.I had 40,000 pix on old computer tagged with names, event, location, date with PE 11. Also several projects involving hundreds of pix.  Carbonite restored all files (250 gig) from old computer to new, and their tech support says they all are on the new computer.I bought the new PE 12 and installed it on new computer. It has only found 4,000 pix. I don't at all like PE 12 after enjoying PE2-11 and managing all my pix with it. PE11 was clearer in the pix presentation.  Apparently when imported to the new computer, I lost the tags that went to events, location, and the person tags did not separate family from friends etc. I can't even find my projects.I was so frustrated with PE12, that I installed PE11, but everytime I try to open the Organizer, it doesn't open.
I cannot upload pictures from my camera, Canon 7D, into Pnotoshop 10. I recently had Photoshop 7 and had no problems. I do seem to be able to upload pics from a thumbdrive.
I need to download a copy of CS4 to load on a new computer and cannot find disc. The software is registered and I have the Serial Number. I found a answer to the same question back in June and I followed the instructions to download on a Prodesign Site but when I double clicked the exe file it told me a file archive part of photoshop was missing.Â
Bought a new desktop today, which is running Win7 x64 Home Premium. Previously was running a laptop with Win7 x64 Ultimate. Â I've installed CS5 with the appropriate patches, and attempted to install ACR7.1. The Adobe Application Manager launched and errors with:
"Updates could not be applied. Please contact your Administrator if you wish to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been suppressed by the Administrator." Â First of all, is this a Windows priviledges error, or an Adobe App Manager error? If it's the former, I am logged in locally with the Admin account. I have tried running the patch installer "Run as Administrator" with the same result.
I have Lightroom 3.6 and I want to upgrade to Lightroom 5. Â I cannot move to CS6 nor CC. Â I will be buying a new camera, with RAW files are not supported in Camera Raw 6.7. Â If I install camera raw 8 with Lightroom 5, will I be able to:
- use Camera Raw 8 with CS5
- if not, will I be able to have both versions of Camera raw, 6.7 and 8, on my computer and use 6.7 with CS5 and v8 with Lightroom? Â or would it be simpler to just convert the RAW files to DNG and use in both Lightroom 5 and CS5?
Have just installed Video Studio ProX3 on a new computer running Windows 7. Software much the same as VS 10 which I ran on a computer with XP.
The new system does not want to connect with my Canon MV930 Video camera. - if it does the picture is frozen and the message - 'Inconsistent vidoe from capture source' appears. Or I get the message - 'No video input source' detacted' appearing.
Could the problem be with the Firewire card/drivers taken from the old computer? - am having this checked out to-day.The software downloads vidoes from a DVD produced by me on the old system quite happily.
I first tried capturing the video from a Sony camcorder but VS keeps freezng up on "change field order". So then I just downloaded the files to my computer and tried to load them that way. But the program does not see MTS files in the folder.
I am using Photoshop cs5 extended on windows 7, Unable to load camera raw images into photoshop directly or via adobe bridge. I download all the Camera Raw file ready, but still not working..I open my CS 5 Extended and open with the CR2 file, it pop out "Could Not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of camera Raw,   I current using Canon 600D .
