View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased PSE 11 which is what I needed for it to work with my Nikon D7100, also less than a year old. I have just purchased a Nikon D610 and it seems I need to downlaod Camera Raw 8.3 but it doesn't seem to work with PSE 11. When I check the adobe site it appears that I need PSE 12! How can this be when my software is less than one year old!! Is it adobe money grabbing again? Are there any plans to add support for RAW photos taken on the Nikon D610, which after all is only a very minor change to the Nikon D600, to PSE 11?

View 2 Replies View RelatedVarious tests both by me and Apple Mac technical department indicate that PSE12 is not compatible with the ipad. Is there a setting that should be activated, If so, which and what are the steps to deal with this problem? I have not had this problem with photos edited in earlier versions of PSE
Photos edited in PSE12 and sent as jpegs to the ipad cannot be opened. Photos not edited in PSE12 can be opened. This needs fixing.
I would like to add captions to my photos for a website that I use. The criteria is that they must be IPTC compatible.I use PSE 9 and I am having a difficult time finding how to do this in the program.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I would change a resolution in PS6, say from 300 to 72, the image size would automatically resize accordingly. In PS CC it does not. I want to be able to have PS CC work like PS 6 in that regard, but can't figure it out. I see there are predetermined sizes but nothing like in PS6
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS3 and I'm putting together a small magazine. The printer who will be doing the printing insists that all images are 300 dpi, however, some of the images people have sent me to insert in the magazine are only 120 dpi. If I manually change it to 300 dpi in the Image Size dialogue box in Photoshop, does it actually increase the resolution? I was of the opinion that the original image has to be 300dpi and that it wasn't possible to alter it, but now I'm not sure.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use PS 7 and learning fast.
The default resolution when I open a photo, is set on 72 pixels per inch. This produces a photo with not a lot of detail and my previews are not the same as the end result. I have read somewhere that it is better to work on 300 dpi. Is this correct?
And if so, how do I change the default setting?
Or should one always work on 72 and occasionally change to 200-300 dpi?
I created the vector images but I forgot to change the resolution to 72. I created the new document and dragged it to the new one but I looked at the type is a little bit blurry now. Can I print it on resolution 200 instead of 72?

Or do most of you work on the 72 dpi- it is just that the image that you see in preview, does not look the same once finished.
how can I change the resolution on a flatten image the looks pixeld?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way in Photoshop to change the image size and resolution to a folder that has many jpegs images in it? Otherwise I will have to change the size and resolution to about 250 images. If Photoshop won't do it is there another program that will?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat is the best way to reduce an image's file size (say by 50%) so that someone with limited RAM can work on the file and then when they are done restore the file back to its 100% size for final output--without sacrificing resolution or pixels. File is a layered psd and will eventually be going to print.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to prepare some photos for Retina display screens (not for printing) and was told that in order to do this, I need to increase the resolution of my images from 72dpi to 240dpi.
Many of my original photos are 3000 x 1875 pixel size at 72dpi resolution. What I wanted to know is that if I uncheck 'resample image' in the 'image size' dialogue box and increase the resolution from 72dpi to 240dpi, will my image suddenly be Retina ready without ANY loss of quality?
I find it hard to get my head around the fact that you can simply raise the resolution of an image in this way with no adverse affect to the quality.
So I started a new xcf, but I forgot to change the resolution from 72, to 300.....
Is it too late? Is there anyway to change the resolution now?
Considering just copying and pasting all the layers into a new xcf.... it's mostly text boxes, will the old resolution affect this process?
How do I deactivate elements on a computer so I can use it on another one?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently pruchased a new computer, and didn't know that I had to deactivate Photoshop Elements 7 from my old computer. I removed all the programs from the old computer and no longer have access to it.
All I want to do is to install Elements on my new computer.
I recently purchased a new iMac and transferred all my software to it from my old computer. Photoshop elements will not open. The dialog box says "Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop elements Editor works with this version of OS X. you may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X."
My version is 10.8.4. The "Read Me" file says it requires 10.6 through 10.8.
So I attempted to uninstall it and reinstall. When I tried to uninstall I got a message that said it could not be uninstalled due to an error. I followed the directions to restart and try again... and again. Same message. At the bottom of the message was another saying if that didn't work to use a link to some Adobe "cleaner". When I clicked to download the "cleaner" I got a message that I had to UNINSTALL the Elements program before using it.
Next I tried to install Elements from the original disk and got this message: "Installation to case-sensitive drives is not supported. Please choose a different drive location to install." I just want to do a photo project as a gift for my parents.
I get a message when opening PE that the triIal version has expired. I never had a trial version. The next screen ask me to sign in and then tells me I am not connected to the web when in fact I am. Next it ask for a response code which I do have.
