Photoshop Elements :: Activating 12 On One Of Two Computer?
Dec 23, 2013
I get a message when opening PE that the triIal version has expired. I never had a trial version. The next screen ask me to sign in and then tells me I am not connected to the web when in fact I am. Next it ask for a response code which I do have.
I have just purchased via ebay a retail version of CS4 extended. It loaded OK but when I tried to activate it, all I got was a cross at the end of the serial number I had entered. I can use it as a trial version for up to 30 days but this is obviously no use.
In Photoshop (Mac OS X), I typically use the pattern type cmd+shift+/ to open the help menu, type the phrase of the menu item I want to use, and then hit enter to activate the selected menu item.
I just checked Photoshop CC and the enter key does not seem to correctly behave as it should. Instead of activating the selected menu item, it just dismisses the help menu.
Is there a way to force the enter key to behave correctly, as it does in other apps?
When working with layer masks, which I love to use, they work perfectly until I click on the layer pallet to activate another layer, etc, and then when I go back to the masked layer, it no longer functions as a mask (ie: The brush turns back into a paint brush). I suppose what I'm asking is "how can I return (later) to a masked layer and still have it work as a mask?
I'm having a few issues with my CS5 Photoshop - for some reason the other day, out of the blue, my Shift-F5 'Fill' shortcut started activating the 'Grow' command instead. I'd not altered any Photoshop settings recently (only loaded new actions a few days previously), so not sure why it happened.
I've tried resetting the shortcuts through Keyboard Shortcuts in the edit menu, but 'Fill' IS set to Shift-F5, with 'Grow' blank (no shortcut assisgned?).... and 'Fill' in the menu states Shift-F5 as the shortcut.
I've tried fixing Mac permissions, I've deleted the Ps 'Keyboard Shortcuts' file, I've deleted the Ps prefs file from Home > Library > Prefs. Weirdly, I expected a pref file to be in HD > Library > Prefs, but no Ps file there...? (but ID, AI etc all there?!). There is a "com.adobe.CSXS2Preferences" file - what does that relate to, as it doesn't look familiar?
I'm running it on a 3.2ghz Intel Core i3 iMac with 4gb RAM
I'm having a little problem exporting images that I slice up and put links into. I'm trying to make a website but it does not allow script and the only way I know how to export it so that the links work is as a .swf file. Is there any other way to do it so that it does not have to run on script or no? I am using Photoshop CS2 and ImageReady to export it.
CS 5.5. Just restarted Photoshop and still the same problem. I should be able to hold down the space bar and grab the screen to drag it around. Not working anymore.
I recently pruchased a new computer, and didn't know that I had to deactivate Photoshop Elements 7 from my old computer. I removed all the programs from the old computer and no longer have access to it.
All I want to do is to install Elements on my new computer.
I recently purchased a new iMac and transferred all my software to it from my old computer. Photoshop elements will not open. The dialog box says "Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop elements Editor works with this version of OS X. you may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X."
My version is 10.8.4. The "Read Me" file says it requires 10.6 through 10.8.
So I attempted to uninstall it and reinstall. When I tried to uninstall I got a message that said it could not be uninstalled due to an error. I followed the directions to restart and try again... and again. Same message. At the bottom of the message was another saying if that didn't work to use a link to some Adobe "cleaner". When I clicked to download the "cleaner" I got a message that I had to UNINSTALL the Elements program before using it.
Next I tried to install Elements from the original disk and got this message: "Installation to case-sensitive drives is not supported. Please choose a different drive location to install." I just want to do a photo project as a gift for my parents.
My old computer recently broke and I was wondering if there was a way I could deactivate my Photoshop elements that was installed on the old computer? It is Elements 11.
I bought a new, faster, more storage Windows 8 computer.I had 40,000 pix on old computer tagged with names, event, location, date with PE 11. Also several projects involving hundreds of pix.
Carbonite restored all files (250 gig) from old computer to new, and their tech support says they all are on the new computer.I bought the new PE 12 and installed it on new computer. It has only found 4,000 pix. I don't at all like PE 12 after enjoying PE2-11 and managing all my pix with it. PE11 was clearer in the pix presentation.
Apparently when imported to the new computer, I lost the tags that went to events, location, and the person tags did not separate family from friends etc. I can't even find my projects.I was so frustrated with PE12, that I installed PE11, but everytime I try to open the Organizer, it doesn't open.
My computer crashed last week and I had Photoshop Elements 9 installed on it. It has been quite a few years since I bought the program and I have since lost the disc during the multiple moves I've went through. Is there any way I could redownload it somehow without paying for it again? My computer is basically trash now so there's no real way for me to get the program off or deactivate it.
My old system crashed, so I cant deactivate program. Program is also on my laptop. Trying to install program on new system, but keep getting deactivate message.
I recently installed Elements 7 on my new Win 8 computer. I also downloaded a 7.03 patch from Adobe site. When the program is launched, and then sitting idle, the mouse pointer jumps around on the screen, and the "working" blue circle appears also. This happens constantly and consistently about every second. I do not have this happen with any other program.
I was having similar issues with Elements and Win 7, and XP, and Win 98 for that matter.
I have thousands of photographs in my desktop and wish to copy them to my laptop. And is it possible to sychronise them? Both computer use Windows 7 and PSE 11.
I have installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on my new Windows 7 computer. How do I transfer the versin 5.02 catalog from my old Vista computer to my new computer?
How do I move a slide show to a new or different computer? I prepared a slide show on a computer that apparently does not have the capacity to output it to a video. I don't want to have to completely reproduce it from scratch on a more powerful computer.
i have just bought a new computer with windows 8 and installed elements version 12; my old laptop had elements version 8 on it and I did a full backup of the catalog to an external hard drive. I have gone through the restore catalog process but cant see any photos either in the organiser or in my pictures. I did the convert step but it said it conversion failed and suggested repairing the backup with previous version which is not possible as the computer was a work machine which has now been wiped and rebuilt and I dont have version 8 anymore!! when it did the convert step it only seemed to find breeze files.
My son recently bought Photoshop Elements 11 and installed it on his computer. I would like to transfer my catalog of pictures to him and have it look just like it does on my computer with Album titles, keywords, etc. When we tried to do this by using a backup of my Photoshop Element files, it transferred the pictures and keywords but not the album titles or album organization. Also, the keywords were not in the same keyword categories that I had set up on my computer. Is it possible to do what I want, or do the pictures have to all be reorganized and put into albums again on his computer?
I just purchased and installed Adobe Photoshop Element 11 & Adobe Premiere Element 11 from DVD. Installation was smooth but freezing computer on starting any of them. I forced shutdown my computer and tried more than 10 times and same issue.
I have a new computer and was using ELements 9 on the old one. I have downloaded the programme and aslo copied the catalogue over from the old computer. How do i import the catalogue? When I click on Import, it doesnt mention catalogue, only Frame for Video and Wia support.
