View 4 RepliesEvery time I try to install the Camera Raw update 6.5 into Elements 9 Editor, I get the messages "Some updates failed to install." and "Update is not applicable." The version of the Camera Raw Plug-in I have is "6.4.1.145" and will not work with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAt first, I wasn't able to open .nef files from my Nikon D800E. I then realized that I needed to update my camera raw installers. The available versions were 6.5, 6.6, and 6.7 from the adobe website. I also downloaded the Adobe App Manager as it was required to install the updates. The downloading process for all 3 versions worked fine. However, when I tried to install using the adobepatchinstaller, it didn't work. And I tried on all version individually. They all gave me the same message: not the right patch.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently installed photoshop from a disk, and I opened a new image the first time easily through the organizer, and everything went fine. But now when I click the editor from the home screen the whole application shuts down, and when I click it from the organizer, nothing happens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLoaded Photoshop Elements 9 on a computer that is not on the internet and works fine as long as the user logging into the computer has admin privileges but a user who does not have admin priviledges gets an Error:6 that says to uninstall and reinstall the product. Uninstalling and reinstalling the product has no effect. I believe this to be that the normal user doesn't have permissions to a file somewhere that it needs to write to but can't seem to locate that file as I have given write permissions to Adobe under Programs & Common Files but no success.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm traveling right now and so not in my natural environment, dont have full resources. I'm using my Mac Book Pro and doing some light editing. I can not, however, get Lr3 and PSE9 to play nice together though. If in Lr3 I request <Edit in PSE9> it only tries to launch PSE even if it is already open but will not open the imaged. If I drag the images from Lr3 to PSE it will be locked and I can not even create a duplicat layer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had PSE9 & PRE9 installed on my Windows 8 machine. Upgraded to Windows 8.1, disliked it, reinstalled 8.0 and am trying to put my computer back to where it was. No problem with CS4 re-installation but PSE9 & PRE9 reach almost the end of the installation process, then roll back the installation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have installed and successfully used PSE9 for a number of years. I recently purchased and installed PRE11 in order to do some video editing however I first created a slideshow in PSE9 with the intent to burn it to a DVD. The completed slideshow includes 140 still photos (all resized to 1000X750 maximum), transitions, text and music but no video) and when I tried to port it to my PRE11 using the "Edit with Premiere Elements" command, I received the following message "The feature you selected requires Adobe Premiere Elements" and then an option to download a 30-day trial. I did some research online and have read that different versions of PSE and PRE are not compatible and therefore I have the following four related questions.
1. is it correct that my PSE9 will be unable to port to my PRE11? And, if that is not correct, then how do I get past the above error message in order to burn my completed PSE9 slideshow to a DVD via my PRE11? I do not want to convert the slideshow to a WMV to created a CD due to the lower quality.
2. If it is correct that I cannot port between different versions of PSE and PRE then does any program I can use to take my completed PSE9 slideshow out of PSE9 and burn a high quality DVD of the slideshow?
3. If I have to upgrade my PSE9 to PSE11 in order to port my slideshow to PRE11 and thus burn a DVD of my slideshow, is there any way to move/copy/cut&paste my existing PSE9 slideshow to the new PSE11 or will I need to totally recreate it in the new PSE11?
4. If I must purchase and install PSE11 in order to do the above, is there any guarentee that the new PSE11 will allow me to port the slideshow to my existing PRE11?
Seems like an awful lot of work just to produce a slideshow DVD but I'm willing to do whatever it takes since I've already spent quite a few hours getting the PSE9 slideshow exactly the way I want it.
My system is Windows 7 Home Premium, DualCore CPU, 64 bit operating system and 4 GB RAM.
My MAC prints fine to my printer using IPHOTo software...the problem is with PE9.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am simply trying to create a banner for my Etsy shop (essentially a picture with text over it) and I'm having a devil of a time getting this simple task accomplished. Whenever I have the text box over the image I want to use I type in the text and it comes up as 'little marching ants' at the bottom of the textbox. I then go into preview and none of the text comes up over the image.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried this feature with mixed results. Scaning 2,3 or 4 pictures of different sizes, changing angles using an HP8600 Multifunction device. I have tried both scannig using HP software and directly with Elements at 200, 300 and 600 dpi. Elemets will sometime split off one of the pics but is not reliably sepatating them all. What ca I do to improve my results? I have a lot of pics to scan and really don't want to do them one at a time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using an HP desktop running under MS Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP2, with gmail running in (or not in) compatibility mode and Norton Internet Security.
Formerly everything was running perfectly for a long time; but then I encountered blue screens and the local PC shop fixed that by backing up everything and then formatting the HD. I put basic stuff back from the backup the shop made, then I went away – out of the country for 2 weeks during which I took a bunch of pictures. Photoshop Elements 5.0 worked at this point - I successfully uploaded them into a Pictures directory. Next, I continued working on bringing to life other SW I had working before the blue screen/backup (e. g., allowing gmail to come up in compatibility mode). Next, I took 3 pictures and, planning to upload them into Photoshop, tried to bring up Photoshop Elements 5.0. The window appearing is titled “Organizer – Photoshop Elements 5.0 – My Catalog.psa”. It circles for a long while then adds “not responding” to the window title and then I must X out and close the program.
I have reinstalled several times (from the CD), but the above scenario reoccurs. I have just run CCleaner, deleting the Windows and Applications materials it recommended; again above scenario occurs when trying to bring up Photoshop. It just does not show any thumbnails, the circle just keeps revolving and then “not responding” appears.
I have been using Elements 9 and Premiere 9 on Windows 7n machines, and still have the discs for Windows and for Mac, with serial numbers. I am now changing to an iMac on Mavericks, without a DVD player, so copied the discs to memory sticks. However the "Install" process would not run and I was directed to Adobe Support Adviser, which I downloaded and ran. It "could find no problem" and collected data for a Suppotrt Case.
