Feb 9, 2013Whenever I try to text on either a blank sheet or over a picture the text looks blurred/ pixalated and no matter what size I choose it comes out small.

Photoshop :: CS6 - Blurred / Jagged Picture At Irregular Zoom Levels?
Sep 20, 2012I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a desktop running Windows 7 with AMD Radeon HD 6750 and I noticed that when I zoom at 66.7% or 33%, the pictures edges look "jagged"/blurry, etc. and the image only has a smooth rendering at 100%, 50%, 25%, etc.
I wouldn't ask about this except, I have the same exact version of Photoshop on my laptop, running Windows 7 with Intel's HD 4000 built-in graphics, and this computer displays smooth rendering of images at any zoom level, no matter what. So why the difference? The settings in the Preferences > Performance section is identical on both computers.

Oct 22, 2012Using the horizontal text tool I can make a text box, but no text-blinker shows up in the box and when I type no text will appear. Although, in the Layers pannel on the right side it does name the layer whatever I have typed so why won't it show on the picture? Even if you make all other layers invisible the text layer still does not show up on a blank background.

Photoshop :: Pixel And Blurred Text?
May 15, 2013I have been using Photoshop CS3 for several years without a problem. This morning I started having problems with text. I created a new document and created a text block and when I type the font is extremely pixelated and blurred. I have tried different fonts, different sizes, and even new documents but nothing fixes the problem.
I think I accidently hit a combo of keystrokes that is causing the problem but I can't figure out which one.

Dec 23, 2012Attempting to add text to pic. Tonight, however, the size of font that comes in is super-small -- so small that I need to bump it up to 72 (but even at that it is too small on the pic. Also: I notice that the text font now shows in pixels rather than inches.
All I want is to be able to add a simple phrase or two, but Text Tool is showing my words as super-small even at the 72 pix.
Would perhaps my resetting preferences yesterday have anything to do w/this? Should I be adding text to pics in INCHES rather than PIXELS?
Also -- my pic is at resolution of 600 and doc size is 20 x 20.

Jun 15, 2011I am running CAD Map 3D 2011 and a Windows XP SP3 machine with 4GB RAM and a 128 MB 3D card. I am trying to send the plot to a HP Designjet 800PS plotter.
The file that I am working on is not overly large and has no raster images or OLE objects attached. It does have several open database connections that I am using to theme one of my drawing layers. The sheet itself is an odd size (36" x 54"), but I have printed other drawings of this size before and I've never had problems.
When I first plotted the sheet, it was taking forever to spool, so I ended up canceling the print several times. I finally decided to try to plot to PDF, but this created a HUGE spool file (2.65 GB). Since it was actually spooling, I went ahead and let it run. It ended up taking about an hour to spool and print the PDF. Before I opened the PDF, I checked the size and found it to be about 12 Mb. When I opened it, all that was there was a blank sheet. After that, I re-sent the plot to the HP plotter and just let it work overnight. When I got in this morning, there was a 36" x 54" blank sheet waiting for me.
I've checked the basic settings and none of the layers are frozen, off, or set to not print. I also increased by page file size to work with the plot, but that does not seem to have had any effect. I've tried creating several different .pc3 files, but the issue has stayed. I am now trying to have another person open the file and print it from a different workstation, but so far no luck.
As a side note, I tried a work around by plotting to a dwf file using the included dwf driver. This spooled and plotted very quickly (<60 seconds) and the dwf file appears just fine in design review. However, when I try to print from design review, it won't let me set it as a 36" x 54" plot; it keeps with with the standard print sizes only.

The history does not update and I can do no other edits until I Ctrl-Z or go to the grid pane or move to the next image. I am running on Windows 7 64 bit and I have re-installed, twice, (repaired) using the latest downloaded LR3.6 off the adobe site. I have done several integity checks which are successful and the problem occurs no matter what catalog I open, small or big. However, my LR 4 beta works perfectly!? This problem came out of the blue and the only software that I have installed on my machine recently was some Windows updates and Firetower which checks changes to my Startup processes.
