Photoshop Elements :: Removing Pictures From Documents?
Dec 26, 2013
I have a document with several pictures in it and I would like to renmove only the pictures and save them so I can insert them into a different document. I can bring the document into Photoshop Elements and using the magnetic lasso tool, select the image(s) but I can't figure out how to save only the images so I can use them again in another document.
I would like to remove items from a photo background. I have two pictures on each, there are two persons obscuring some other elements of the landscape. Is it possible to remove the person obscuring the landscape and keep all landscape?
I received a layered psd from a colleague. In PS, she did some simple animation to show me what she was looking for. I had planned to take the file in to after effects to do the final animation, but when I do, the animation comes in and every layer and comp has a pre-set duration that I cannot change without time remapping.
For example, there is a 'pack shot' and some text. The entire animation is about 2 seconds and 15 frames. When I import as a composition in to after effects, every layer is pre-set to 2 secods and 15 frames - even the text layers and precomps. The text layers have that out point marker like comps do - but as a still layer it normally doens't have a set out point.
In photoshop I was able to convert to a frame animation and delete the frames, ending only with where the end of the animation is, but the durations are still there...
How can I completely delete animation from a PSD so that photoshop or after effects can't even tell it was ever animated? Is there a simple "remove all animation data" command?
Any way to remove the .dst listings in the "Recent Documents" list on the "File" pulldown? We use Civil 3D mostly with dwg files and they are usually pushed off the list because of Sheet Set Manager files. Some of these dst's haven't been opened in weeks? But there still at the top of the list....very unproductive when you have to go searching for a dwg file you were just working on.....

GIMP are going to come up with a tool like the refine edge tool that is availale in Photoshop. I really need some way of removing the background of some of the pictures I use. I have attached an example of an image that I would like to remove the background and replace it. I have spent hours trying to work out how to do it successfully.
I have used support in Elements 10, and have found some topics I wanted to print and keep handy in a binder for learning by doing and having a handy reference. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to print the documents along with the examples and screenshots. Is there a relatively easy way I'm missing?
I need removing a background from a picture. My boss wants some t-shirts made but the only image I have is one with a tie-dye background and I need it to just be the black and white that is on the image. I have been trying for 2 weeks to do this and I can get real close but it leaves the colors around the edges and I need this gone. I have the original photo and the one with almost everything removed.
I photograph beach weddings. In my old software, I could remove swimmers and bathers, how in elements12? I am trialing it and cannot see any way to easially remove unwanted objects
I have an old black and white photo that when held at certain angles has what I will describe as iridescent marks that mainly show up on areas that are darker or have shadows. Perhaps something deteriorated in the chemical developing that was originally done. When I download it onto photoshops the markings show up. Has seen this in pictures and the best way to correct it.
When I try to save my work in PSE 9 it crashes every time. I've removed preferences by pressing shift, control, option after launching the program. The window came up if I wanted to remove preference I clicked yes. Restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 still crashes.
I've also removed the twain plug in this way: Program FilesAdobePhotoshop Elements 9Locales<locale>Plug-InsImport-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
I dragged it twice to my desktop but the file still seemed to remain in place (even though I had 2 new copies on my desk top), so the third time I did it, I clicked it and moved it to trash. Again, I restarted my computer and relaunched PSE9 and it still crashes when trying to save.
I have a stock photo of an item I want to sell but the picture shows some accessories I don't have so how do I remove these items and replace the space with the background. There are no layrers in the photo
I have a picture I like of these two young ladies sitting in front of a glass door on their porch. The issue is a car can be seen in the reflection in the glass door directly behind them. I have seen things on removing glare and reflections in glasses on faces but not finding one about this. Any best method to remove the car?
When the photos are downloaded from the camera or memory card with the date information embedded in the photo, how do I remove the date stamp on the imported photo before printing the photo?
I remeber at one time I was able to convert a color image into black & white by reassing Control, Shift, U. Then there was another command that would allow be to add teh original colors back in where I wanted them, giving me a color and black & white image. I just cannot remeber how I did the second step.
I have set up one new album in Organizer, but cannot add pictures. The Import button is greyed out, and I can find nothing in the toolbars that is not also greyed out.
I have taken pictures before in RAW, but all of the sudden the program is unable to open such pictures. I have added light room 5 but I want to take advantage of the layer sistem on elements.
I have been emailing my pictures for quite some time. I would select a picture right click the mouse and open the picture with Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 Then I would enhance the picture and resize the picture to 950-733 pixels. I would then go to file and put "Save As" when the prompt came up I would put in example bus-1 and hit ok I would go up top and close back to my pictures. When I would write an email and attach the picture I could identify it as bus-1 and it would be resized to 950--733 pixels for emailing. But now when I Save as all of the pictures come up in that file and I cannot find Bus-1. It must have changed and I don't know why.
I have Photshop Elements 11 and running Windows 7, and I have 2 different pictures of my kids, one in each picture and was wondering if there was a way to merge the two pictures into 1, either by cut and pasting or some other way. I have spent 2 days trying everything I know, which isn't much.
With my old 10 elements I could upload directly from my camera into the organizer, with 12 it won't. I have to get each picture from a different folder, edit it, then save to another folder......
I have installed Elements 11 and converted the catalog from Elements 10, but when I open Elements 11 organizer, my pictures don't show up. How do I find them and get them to open in the version sets and stacks I already have?
