View 1 RepliesI scanned a worksheet containing chemical structures with VueScan 9.3.14. I tried to use acrobat 11.0.5 along with the highlight tool to highlight parts of a chemical structure. Adobe did not recognize all parts of the chemical structure. Some parts (mostly single covalent bonds between 2 atoms) could be highlighted, but other's could not. Those parts which could not be highlight were important parts I was aiming to use acrobat's highlight tool for. I was hoping if something like the highlight tool in acrobat could be used in illustrator and/or other third party software.

Use merge for standard things like labels.Have a large ongoing project which requires
Lots of Excel data - eg: 6685.excel example.tifcolumns x AZrows x 300 upwards
All rows required to create a book of running information.
If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)
Is there a way to merge with a fluid result ?
Ie row one takes up 2 lines Row 2 takes up 5 lines Row 3 takes up 1 line etc

I have a document with several pictures in it and I would like to renmove only the pictures and save them so I can insert them into a different document. I can bring the document into Photoshop Elements and using the magnetic lasso tool, select the image(s) but I can't figure out how to save only the images so I can use them again in another document.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using PSE 9 to crop JPEG scaned documents. In the past I have cropped these images and used the crop box to center the scanned image. The crop box usually goes past the edge of the document. When I did this in the past, the area off the document and inside the crop box would turn white, which is what I need it to do. Now it is turning black. how to get it back to defalting to white.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using PSE6 and just installed PSE12. I work alot with pictures and the option in editor/image to divide multiple photos in one scan does not work. It is pale in print and does not have an arrow like the other choices.
I have a HP PC using Windows 7 and a scanner that worked just fine, Canon LIDE.
I scanned a number of photos and when I went into editor>image and the divide scanned photos was not an active choice. It was on the menu but I couldn't select it. I scanned a number of times to include setting the pictures at an angle just to be sure it could be detected. It used to work in PSE 9

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am scanning a large number of negatives using VueScan. Vuescan automatically creates the digital files in numerical order (if you use the proper settings) as they are scanned and places them in the proper folder. The process of scanning the negatives takes several days. Upon opening PSE 11, all the files should be in numerical order as created, but at times, PSE 11 will put today's files (say numbers 400 - 500) near the top of the list (like 001, 400, 401 etc, then 002, 003 etc) What is wrong? At other times everything is correct. Is there a way to correct this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have briefly used 3 versions of Photo Elements (9, 10 and11) and have experienced the same problem in all 3. Scanned images are labeled Image1.jpg, Image2-###.jpg, Image3-###.jpg and Image4-###.jpg. As you noticed, the first scanned image is ALWAYS NAMED IMAGE1.jpg.
Because this is happening on every scan, Elements is giving me the message that the first scanned image in each subsequent scan is already in the catalog (as Image1.jpg). All the remaining images in the scan are sequenced without any problem.
It appears as though Elements places all scanned photos into a temp location under AppData and then enters them into the catalog after the scan is complete. The file names in this temp folder are Image1, Image2, Image3, Image4. Image2-4 have their filenames changed, but Image1 doesn't.
The easiest way I have found to fix this is to rename Image1.jpg after each scan. I have looked around Elements and have no user available procedures to fix this.I am using an Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner with Epson Scan software 3.83.
I am running Elements 11.
Organizer won't accept a new scanned photo, saying "file already exists"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used support in Elements 10, and have found some topics I wanted to print and keep handy in a binder for learning by doing and having a handy reference. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to print the documents along with the examples and screenshots. Is there a relatively easy way I'm missing?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm a professional artist so I need really good photos of my work for promo and gallery applications. My Brother gave me a really good Canon Scanner. He told me I should try and scan my paintings, laying them on the scanner one way then the other (from top bottom and then side to side). Once in the computer he said I should overlay them in photoshop (Elements 7) to minimize the glare from the brushstokes (It's oil paint). [URL]. It worked but it's really blurry.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need a tool or option in order to set the time/date of a series of scanned slide files into the date/time sequence of my choice (when browsing with the Organizer in "Thumbnail View" (I.e. in Date/time order).
For those slides that I had sent within slide-trays, I asked the scan shop for the following for the photo-files resulting from the scan:That the name of the photo-files include a trailing number reflecting sequence as the slides within their trays. That the scan timestamp sequence reflects the sequence of the slides within their trays (this was and is important for me, in order to be able to browse within the PSE Organizer through the scan-result of one tray, in the same sequence as the slides within their trays; even when the resulting photo-files are not organized in a PSE Album; and even when being in “Thumbnail View” sequence). Unfortunately, the scan shop forgot about this request and I can therefore not look (in Thumbnail View” mode) at the scan results in the same sequence as the slides within their trays.
I am looking for a Windows Tool (or a PSE Organizer Tool/plug-in) that will allow me to set the time of a series of Foto-Files in ascending time sequence. A tool that will for example allow me to select multiple foto files • then, allow allow me to specify the date/Time of the first photo-file within the selected files to the date/time of my choiceand then add an increment of 1 or n seconds (or 1 or n minutes) to each one of the fotos that follows in the selected series. Question: For a Windows 7 and PSE 8 environment are you aware of such a tool? (the scan shop told me, they are not aware of such a tool)
Two details: When looking (before importing the foto files into the PSE Organizer) with Windows Explorer at a folder containing the scanned photo-files I can see the following: the foto files have both a “Date Created” and a “Date Modified”. But they have not yet a “Date Shot”. I do not know, whether this can make it simpler to find a solution.I tried without success, the following within the V8 Organizer, I displayed the photos in “Folder Location” view (in V8, this will show the foto-files of each folder in file-name sequence),while in Folder Location view, I selected all photos of one folderthen, while still in Folder view I did “Adjust Date and Time of Selected items” --> “change to a specified date and time”.
It seems that all selected photos got (exactly?) the same time, Unfortunately this did not work for me. Why that?
After the Time-Adjust, when switching from “Folder Location” view to “Thumbnail View”, the photos of that folder were still in the desired sequence (that looked great and I was happy). After editing one of these photos (and when storing the edited result within a versionset) , the edited version of the photo was still in the desired sequence (this still looked great!). But surprise – surprise..., once I exited from the Organizer and then relaunched it, the Versionset containing the edited Photo changed its position to the end of the series of photos having the same date/time – this was no more its desired position/sequence.
I think Divide Scanned Photos feature is amazing! [URL] ....
For those scans I put black construction paper in the rear, it works like a charm.
However, my mom scanned multiple photos prior to us finding Elements and did not use a dark background.
Is there any way to salvage this or is it too late?
When we attempt to Divide Scanned Photos on a set of B&W photos with a white background, no luck.
PSE11 just spits out a copy of the same photo.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried this feature with mixed results. Scaning 2,3 or 4 pictures of different sizes, changing angles using an HP8600 Multifunction device. I have tried both scannig using HP software and directly with Elements at 200, 300 and 600 dpi. Elemets will sometime split off one of the pics but is not reliably sepatating them all. What ca I do to improve my results? I have a lot of pics to scan and really don't want to do them one at a time.
