I have Elements 10 on a MacBook Pro with Mavericks OS. The "Organizer" menu bar which shows forward/back buttons, Search function, Organize, Fix, Create, Share functions etc. has suddenly disappeared. The program has been working fine for 3 years. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it but it did not fix the problem.

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy computer was running very slowly so I ran some diagnostic and "fixit" programs on it. After that, I am no longer able to see the photos that were in the albums I created - if I try to reimport them, it says they are already in the catalogue. All I see are white boxes!! I cannot see them in the photo bin of the editor either. I checked and all my photos are in their original folders where I off-loaded them from my camera. Obviously my fixit program broke the links. how I can get the photos back, or even just delete the albums and catalogue so that I can start again?
the really weird thing is that I can do a slideshow of the supposedly missing photos -- but they still don't show up as thumbnails in the albums!
I opened Photoshop Elements one day and all of my files are gone. I thought that maybe I had accidentally "archived" them somehow, but I can't find anything that I have ever edited in the Organizer. It's as if I just installed it yesterday. I even tried to search for files with the date range function and it says that there isn't anything from the date range I put in, which was over a year.
Did I tell the Organizer to do something that I am unaware of? Where did all of my pictures and video go?
When I opened my Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer all of my folders/albums were gone. There was an error message that said the media files had been moved since import and were now gone with no backup. There was a button for RECONNECT which I hit...but all the computer will do is search for the missing files for hours.

When I returned from vacation in early July, the print menu was no longer available in Organizer. Instead, I was given the option of the print menu in Editor. I've had alot of responses to different options, even from Adobe themselves, and nothing is working. I get the Welcome Menu screen but when I click on either Organizer or Edit nothing happens. I am the administrator on my home computer and tried launching as administrator but nothing works. I've tried launching it from "Program File" exe but nothing. When I do this I get this error message;
"Windows cannot find 'C:Program Files (x86)AdobePhotoshop Elements12PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
I've tried a Install Photoshop Elements in a simplified mode, nothing. I've shut down my firewall and virus program and then install, nothing. Looks like I've stooped everyone. Now I can't even return it because the package is open.
My computer is a 64-bit Operating System, Intel (R) Core i7 CPU, 869 @ 2.80GHz, Windows 7 Professional.

How do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using PE9. Every time I go to the Organizer (even after switching to another program briefly) the Update box appears, searching Watched Folders for new pics. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was working in Arch 2011, it crashed. When I opened it back up and clicked on the Big A to try and open the file back up, nothing happens! It looks like the program is active, if I don't try to navigate to a file everything seems to work.
Also, I can navigate to the file using Windows and 'Open With' which also works and the program opens the file and seems fine. I really need the navigation menu back though.

Regardless if an object is selected or not, the Snap Menu appears, instead of the one I was used to (that included Erase, Move, Copy Selection, Scale etc. ). How can I get that back?
My decor filter has disappeared from the filters menu. Was using it yesterday, no problem. Today, it's just gone. I have uninstalled Gimp and reinstalled it several times and that does not work.
The version I am using is 2.8.4 and I have a PC with Windows 7. I have been using the program for the last two months with no problems and the more I use the more I like it.
Just to add the issue, I installed Gimp 2.8.4 on my wife's computer, and the filter is there.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac running Mountain Lion. When I opened PSE today and the organizer, I noticed that the Albums all had a "- sign" - sure enough, I looked in each album and they are all empty. I didn't actually notice it until I'd created a new album, dragged in some photos, looked at the photos in the editor and then went back to the organizer where I found that the album I had been working on was empty. The photos themselves all appear to be in the media of the organizer but just not in the albums an longer. or if not, how the heck do I just delete an album?
btw, all my "folders" still show up below the albums.
a PS.. since posting this, all the media has disappeared from my organizer (the albums part) previously if I clicked on the "all media" button, it would show me all my photos but they have now disappeared as well.
a new glitch -- now when I double click on an album - photos appear in it that don't belong there -- in fact in most albums, I'm getting the photos I just imported into my hard drive today and made into a new album!
