Dec 17, 2012I'm upgrading from CS5 and now every time I open a document in Photoshop, the Timeline animation window opens up. I'm on a MacBook Pro 15" and don't need the Timeline. It stills open up even after saving a new workspace with it closed and not even docked.

I have vista with fax capabilites when I get a fax it opens in photoshop. THen I can only see the 1st page.
All other files that would open a lot quicker in Paint are opening in Photoshop which takes a lot more time to appear.

Nov 22, 2013I have a file that is the reference AI CS6 file. I am working in it, then a team member opened it - no warning - then he saved, not knowing I was in it. We lost work as AI gets confused. I don't understand why there isn't a read only like other programs. we are on a server and there has to be a way to know if it is being used? Saves phone calls and time and...depending on who saves when...we lose work. I must be missing something with CS6.

I have installed a patch to Windows as recommended by regular Windows 'security scan' in the past few days. I do not want to rewind to before the patch as, presumably, it is required. It was working fine last week opening as required. Now it seems to be about to open when clicked but then does not. Nothing in Task Manager to show it might be running in the background. Oct 27, 2012Upgraded to PSE 11. Now when I click on a file, PSE starts but does not load the file. This was working fine in PSE 6-10. The file association in Windows 7 (now too with Windows 8) is still there for all picture file types but they won't open when I click on them. I can open them once I'm in PSE just fine. I uninsalled and reinstalled PSE and still nothing.

Nov 25, 2012I want to create 3 versions of the same RAW file in order to vary the exposure and then use Photomerge Exposure to blend the images. I can open the first version and then go to Open Recent and open the same RAW file again. I then reset the default and make a different adjustment and open that image in Elements. a number "2" is automatically added to the filename. When I do another Open Recent and process that version, that image opens in Elements with a number "3" added to the filename.

According to "Help - Plug In" I have V 6.7, so I went to the Adobe site which said I needed V 7.1, which I download, and extracted, but it won't install it in the software; when I click on the extracted AdobePatchInstaller application, I get a message stating "Update Failed" and "this patch is not applicable for you". Feb 19, 2014A few months ago I bought and downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 from Adobe's website due to my Elements 8 crashing before it opens. For about a month it worked fine, but when I clicked on the logo Elements 12 wouldn't open. I would right-click my images and try to open them in Elements 12 but a window would pop up saying "Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working" (I use Windows). Using Safe Mode I fixed Elements 12 so that the window appears where I can click between Organizer and Editor. Organizer works fine, but when I click editor the loading bar appears and the "Stopped Working" screen would appear again. how I can use Editor on Elements 12 again?

I did some research and downloaded the 7.3 update.I still can't open a raw file from elements. Same error message. But I can separately use the DNG converter.Shouldn't the converter be integrated with Elements, so I wouldn't have to do a separate conversion, just click on the raw file?
