View 9 RepliesI have PSE 10 and I recently decided to start some shooting in RAW. However, when I open my photos( I have a Canon Rebel T2i so the file extension is .CR2), it says, "processing Camera RAW file" and then opens the photo in the full edit mode instead of the Camera RAW dialog box. I checked my plug-in, and I have version 6.7 of the Camera RAW plug in. I'd really like to start working with Camera RAW! Oh, and I am working abroad for a couple months and do not have my installation disks with me, so uninstalling and re-installing PSE is not an option.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have read in numerous articles that I can open jpg files in ACR from within Elements 11. They all state to go File>Open, then browse to the jpg you wish to open, select Camera Raw from the file type and select the jpg. When I select the Camera Raw file type then all the jpg images disappear in the selection area or if I click the jpg first and then select Camera Raw and open then it says file not found. Am I doing this wrong or are the articles I am reading incorrect?

Everything I read says its version 6.4, but when I attempt to run the 6.4 patch I get the message that it does not apply? Has Adobe prevented PSE7 from opening .NEF files from the D5100 (without conversion) in an effort to force paid upgrades to the current PSE version?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I open Photoshop CS3 I am able to drag an image from a Windows Vista folder into the Photoshop window and the image opens in Photoshop.
If I go into the open Dialog Box within Photoshop and select an Image I cannot drag the image into the main Photoshop window I must click on the "open" button.
I have a photographer friend who says he use to be able to work this way and for some reason it no longer works. I suspect he is wrong.
Is this normal or is something not working correctly.
I use CS6 on a system that utilities two monitors. To maximize the amount of screen on Monitor 1 used for viewing my photos, I have arranged the workspace so that my history, actions and other panels are on Monitor 2.
However, whenever I open a window, for example Image->Adjustments, it always opens the window or dialog/settings box on Monitor 1, over the top of the photo that I'm trying to edit. I then have to drag the window across to Monitor 2 manually before making the necessary adjustments.
Upon shutting down the window and then performing another adjustment, the new window doesn't 'remember' that I had last shut it down on Monitor 2, and it opens on Monitor 1 again.
Is there any way of getting CS6 to open these windows and dialog boxes on Monitor 2 by default?
