One exposure is right for foreground but bleaches out the sky.The other is too dark for the foreground but leaves the sky nicely blue with clouds.How do I merge the light foreground with the darker sky ? All my attempts so far end with the same bleached sky.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe issue I run into is when I make a photo black and white and bring out a single color by selecting the areas of color with the magic selector. Once I have the colored area selected I either invert and turn the rest of the image black and white, or I will create a new duplicate layer and delete out the content in one layer and eventually merge the color and black and white layers to make my final image.
My problem is I always get a white gap between the colors and black and white images, or layers. I have tried to use the refine edge menu option, but this never solves the problem as the feather option, and move edge option do not cover the gap, they just move it.
I have resorted to using the healing brush to hide the line or merge the colored and black and white layers together. The issue with this is some times it is in a highly visible spot and the healing brush does not always make a great look. In other words you can tell that I merged two colors or images together.
I have also have this issue when I use the selection tool on images I blur certain portions of. It seems to happen any time I am using the selection toold and I assume there is a standard way of avoiding this.
I am using elements 11.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI finish editing my pictures, save as PSD and a 2nd as jpeg. i view the picture in windows live gallery (windows 7 64bit) and it has changed to a dark deep contrast.
I open the jpeg or the PSD file and they both appear as i originally saved them until I select/ click on it. and i get the darker deep contrasted image.
I have tried to have Photoshop elements 9, in preferences set to windows color and I tried it at Adobe no difference.
Jpegs are saved as sRGB but it is affecting all images, fine while editing but when saved and reviewed it changes and when opened i get to different contrasting views of the same image when selected. This is really anoying me as you think your done and it looks completely different when you review it.
I have version 5.0 and version 9.0. I would like to merge 5 and 9 together and use in version 11.0.
