I open a jpeg in Organizer and then move to edit. BUt then I can't figure out how to save it or close it or whatever you are supposed to do. I just got through with one by exporting it so I could use it in a Publisher project, but it's still in Organizer (PSE9) with the infamous red band. I can't get into the editor because it's busy and I have to finish editing. It's like an endless loop.

1. drop or select a folder of pics (sometimes up to 200 images)
2. create a contact sheet - just like the "File > Automate > Contact Sheet II" (I make contact sheets/proofs of 2-4 images per page)
3. print all the contact sheets on 8.5x11" sheets of paper
4. close contact sheets w/o saving.
I can't seem to combine the Contact Sheet II with other actions.
Alternatively I could continue to create my contact sheets with the existing Contact Sheet II tool, then save, then drag to print window/icon - but it would be much easier to handle it one step.
I also looked for Automator actions and can't seem to nail this thing. I even considered iPhoto - it does this "standard prints" thing which works great but I need the file names in the contact sheets (bummer).
I'm using a Macinotsh G5 2GHz DP, 2GB RAM, OSX.4.2, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Epson 4000 Pro.
I just installed PS Elements 10 on a new laptop, I can not open my Raw files, no problem with the jpegs but can not open Raw, I use this software on my old laptop and desk top with no problem, Windows 7 is on all 3 computers, What do I need to do to fix this and be able to open the Raw. Also note I notice that I have a blue check mark on my jpeg files and I have a Red X on my Raw files which I never had on my other two computers.

I now have different pictures with the same file name on the back up drive (F:) and the computer hardrive (C:). When I click on a picture the picture inOrgnaiser appears and then qickly disappers and the second picture with the same file nane appears. The first to appear is that on the C drive the second is that on the F drive, the back up drive.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just installed PSP X5 and have found a couple of problems.
First one is when I close PSP the process still runs for a good 10 minutes afterwards and consumes a lot of system memory. I found this by accident after I closed PSP X5 and then decided to start it again. It wouldn't open until I closed the previous process.
Second, when I start PSP after the splash screen and the program interface appear I have to wait about 1 minute 40 seconds before I can do anything with the program.
how to improve this situation because at the moment I don't consider this acceptable?
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit with 4Gb of RAM, other than browser and email no other big program is running inthe background
I have recently upgraded from PSE 10 to 11. In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the face (2 birds with one stone). In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears. The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person. Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop. Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update? Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Elements 11. In order to add watermarks to many JPG pics at once, I use the function "Process Multiple Files".
I select a source folder and a destination folder, and adds a three digit serial number to each file. I do NOT tick the checkbox marked "Change picture size". After that I define the watermark I want printed on my pics and hits OK. All the files in the source folder are processed and saved, with a new name in the destination folder. Fair and square.
But. The file size of the new file is heavily reduced, compared to the original. It goes from 10 MB down to 500 KB (in general). Why is that? Is there any way I can prevent it?

The only reason I can figure out is that somehow, unintentionally, I opened something on the right side that says edit/create/share. How to close this feature and in the gray rectangle box under those words, it is asking me what I would like to create. I have tried moving the grips away and re attaching them, I have also extended all the lines and attempted to retrim them to ensure that they are closed, but none of this works.
The Fuzz distance is on 0, but I don't know if I am changing the profile in the units of millimeters so I am tentative to change this. But I just can't close the profiles.
Whenever I edit (a copy) of an image in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4.3 (Photo/Edit-In), after I save and close the image in CS6 the new psd image does not show in Lightroom. In order to see the image in Lightroom, I need to close Lightroom and then reopen Lightroom. It is almost like Lightroom needs to "refresh". Any solution that does not require me to close Lightroom? I have tried to use View/Sort by extension, filename, edit time, etc. with no effect.

It's like the page is locked, but I see no indication that it is locked.

Now I want to put this picture with the additions into a folder because I make calendars every year and wanted this picture in for the calendar. When I go into the picture and right click to try and make a copy the brushes and come up and tell me to pick a size and it looks like I am in the cloning and I cannot get out. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have no problem getting into my Photoshop Elements 8, have no problems going into Editing and editing photos, but when I try to get into the Organizer, Photoshop Elements closes, totally. This has happened in the past when I've been either working in Organizer or Editing, closed Photoshop, and then opened it shortly thereafter. However, if I closed it and waited several minutes, I'd have no problem getting into Organizer. Not this time. Was in it earlier today, couldn't get into Organizer when I tried later, waited a long time several times, with no luck.
One correction: If I open Elements and try to get into Organizer, Elements closes totally. If I'm in Edit and click on Organizer, nothing happens. I'm still in Edit, but can't get into Organizer from there.
with saving on Photoshop CC? Quite often it has happened to me that I will hit Command+S, but I won't see the saving bar at the bottom of the document, and if I then close the document it won't prompt me to save, but if I close the file it won't be saved.
If before I close the file I go to the File menu, the "Save" option is grayed out (as if I had just saved), but the file is not saved. If I close the file, I loose all my work
Anytime open a file, Any file and then close Photoshop, Photoshop crashes before it has completely closed, I'm using Photoshop CS6 extended v13.01 x32 on Windows 7
