Photoshop :: Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.0 And Vista
Jan 22, 2009I recently upgraded to Windows Vista. Adobe Photoshop 3.0 was installed on my prior Windows XP version but did not transfer over to Vista so many of my photos on my hard drive I cannot open.
#1: Is there driver software that I can download so that I can install Adobe 3 or do I have to buy new Adobe software.
#2: If I do have to buy new software, will I beable to open the pictures that I cannot open.

May 27, 2008My question is, whether Photo Deluxe can be run only with admin privileges or as standard user, too.
A customer of ours uses this program and cannot start it without admin privileges. If logged in as standard user the pd4.exe just doesn't react in any way. No failure, nothing. Executing right is set, so it should work.

Since then, I cannot get Photo Deluxe 3.1 to work I *DO NOT* want Photoshop - it's WAY WAY WAY too complicated for me.Photo Deluxe 3.1 was great, did everything I wanted it to do, and was so simple that even George W. Bush could work it. The features that I used are : * Allowing a print screen image to be pasted with CTRL+C* EASY cropping of photos* Wash out of photos (for back inlays of CD mixes - the back inlay was a washed out version of the front inlay, with text over the top)* BASIC, easy to do brightness & contrast controls* EXPORT - so I can export any image to almost any format, particularly JPG Ideally, I'd like to continue to use Photo Deluxe 3.1 If I REALLY must, I want a SIMPLE Photo Editor (IE, NOT Photoshop) that will do the things I did with Photo Deluxe.

Apr 18, 2009I've been working with this program on windows xp with no problems for quite some time. Just 2 weeks ago it would not allow me to save any pix in .pdd or export to jpg. I receive an error as hungapp. Nothing I've tried has worked. I reinstalled 3 times, changed the amount of RAM it uses and tried changing the compatibility to win 98 but to no avail.I realize this is out of date but I've stuck with it as it's much easier than the more complicated newer versions. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Sep 25, 2012Has a fix become available for the 'advanced dialog box' option in PSE 9? My partner has just changed his laptop and now realises that PSE 9 won't give him the option of pre-selecting photos, due to the smaller screen. The laptop won't display at 800 res. The height of the screen is too small. He's annoyed because this problem will affect all users of PSE 9 who get a new laptop with a smaller height screen, which is most new laptops!! It ran perfect on the old Sony Vaio..... till the graphics card went seriously dead! Has this problem been resolved with PSE 10 or 11? If so, it might be worth upgrading to one of those.

With Photoshop Elements "version 7" this could be accomplished by using the menu point "New" --> "Photomerge-Panorama" in the File menu. In the German Photoshop Elements "version 10" which I use now this does not work any more. I consulted already the related manual and the instruction videos in the internet, without success.

Dec 30, 2013I took several pictures, seven to be exact of a rocket launch at night, thinking that one long exposure might make some sections of the photo too bright. The beach is a little underexposed, but that is OK. how to join them? I thought I would use the first one as the base and basically merge the others after I take out all of the content except the rocket plume/flare, but when I try this, it puts the rocket plume in the middle of the layer and I would have to manually align the rocket trail, but can't seem to do it very easily. I'm only trying to cut and paste, and obvious newbie to elements. I have just upgraded to 12 but still have 9 on my machine if one is any better than the other for doing this type of thing.

This was very convenient when I had more than one source of photos for a certain event, like a vacation. This would change the "album order", which made it very convenient for creating photobooks or other projects where I wanted chronological order. I don't want to view by "Oldest first" in media view 1st before I save the album.

There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.

May 7, 2013uninstalled all my Nikon viewing etc software and it cleared up. Haven't changed anything since then, but it just started doing it again. Photo looks normal in Adobe camera raw, but when opened from there into CS6 it becomes highly color banded and cartoonish looking. On some pictures it's only happening in the brighter, highlight areas, in others the whole picture is affected. I'm using a high end Alienware computer and didn't have any issues for about the first year, my graphics card drivers are up to date, will check on monitor drivers next I guess.
