Ive right clicked on the said pics and normally with elements9 it would give me a number of places to which i could sent the chosen frame. But after purchasing elements 11 I am not getting the option to send them anywhere.
View 2 RepliesI recently started having problems with jpeg photos edited on either Elements 10 or 11. I save to a USB port and then insert into frame for viewing but i get a ? error. However, when i open the photos on the USB i can see them fine.

I would prefer to keep the files full size rather than dumb them down for e-mail. What are my options? I have thousands of photos in LR and now I'm concerned that LR won't do the job for me.

Is there any easy technique in Photoshop to crop images to this size (or close), without manually drawing a rectangular marquee and trying to guess at it's size? Is there any way to draw a 480 X 234 pixel rectangle and then position it over the photo, then crop to the rectangle? Any suggestions would be appreciated, since I have about 500 pictures that I want to put on a memory card for Christmas.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did everything according to the instructions, defined e-mail address, got the code and confirmation of the adress, but still when I try to send meile in the end there is symbol that the computer is trying to perform this task, but the minutes passes by, and nothing changes. I have spend a lot of time trying to fix it - with no success. I use Windows 8 and Microsoft OutLook. I have no problems sending other thing. I also have Mozzilla Thunderbird om my computer, but it is synchronised to OutLook (can use both of them, whichever I want).
I bought Photoshop Elements 12 to send and edit photos. I'm close to that to give up this product, despite the fact that the rest of his functions as a judge very successful.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to use element 7 to send photos to my friends, and the program understood that my default server was Windows Mail. I bought a new camera (Nikon D800) which has very large file sizes and Elements 7 could not handle these large files and I was advised by Adobe to buy Elements 11 and this program could handle these large files. The unfortunate thing is that when I tried to send photos to friends, it would not allow me to access my Windows Mail server and only showed Microsoft Outlook or Adobe Mail to choose from. I don't use either of these servers for my e-mails, but now I have this programs that does handle the photos from my new camera and allows me to organize and adjust my photos, but I can't send them to my friends with this program as it does not recognize Windows Mail as my default.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm still having a difficult time understanding how to use layers to edit digitial photos in photoshop. Based on every tutorial I've tried, I have found a common theme: the best way to edit photos is by creating copies of the original image and making different types of edits to each copy and then merging these edited copies into one final image that reflects all the edits combined. I have been lead to believe that the reason for making copies of the original image is so that edits can be made to each individual "layer" and not to the original photo. This way the edited layers can be compared to the untouched original to make sure everything looks the way its supposed to. Here is what is frustrating me to death. No matter how many "layers" I create of my original image, every edit I make shows up in every other layer I create along with the original. I thought that any edits I make to the active layer are only supposed to show up on that layer and no where else. Is this true? If so, how do I set up my editor so that the edits I make only show up in the layer I am actually working on? It seems to me if the edits I make are going to always show up in every layer I have created, and in the orignal image, then there is no point in using layers at all when I edit my photos.

I have recently moved my photo files to a different harddrive from their original location. Some of these images had been included in "collections" prior to the move. Now, when I open a "collection", the photo files are no longer associated with the collection. How do I reassign a location to these files in these collections?
I have already reassigned the photo files in the catalog to their new harddrive location.
I have been given a circa 2006 Photo frame that works very well except the system on it is set for DOS 16 bit and my more modern photos refuse to work.
I can save the photos but is errors on them. How do I save the photos in a form that this device can use?
This is a problem that has gotten progressively worse recently. I can still download photos from my camera to the hard drive using Elements 5, but I can no longer import more than about 5 photos at a time from the hard drive to the Organizer. My computer is a Dell 8300 purchased in 2004, with a Pentium 4 processor, 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB RAM,Windows XP, and Norton AntiVirus. I have about 265 GB of photos on a 350 GB partition (G: drive) of the hard drive. The other partition (C: drive) has about 50 GB of free space.
I've tried many fixes, including using CCleaner and Microsoft Disk Cleaner to remove unnecessary files and fix Registry problems; turning off and repowering the entire system; using Nikon Transfer to download the photos, instead of Photoshop; using Startup Inspector to remove unnecessary startup programs, as well as turning off all other software.
I get two different messages, at different times, from Elements when the process freezes:
1. "The ODBC data source reported the following error: "Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Invalid argument."
2. "The ODBC data source reported the following error: [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time." (I'm not on a network.)
I also sometimes get another message from Norton: "High CPU usage by AOL", even when AOL is shut down.
