Photoshop Elements :: Download Not Working Shows File Damaged
Jan 29, 2014
Download not working. Shows files damaged or I should covert original to pdf. Where is original? When I try even that does not work. Download is picking location. Not allowing me to pick location of download.
I've just tried downloading LR4 on my girlfriends computer (my comps HD just failed) - but when I go to download it, I get a message saying "this type of file can harm your computer. Do you wish to continue?" Her comp is a macbook pro 15" and I was trying to DL the mac version.
I have Photoshop Elements 6.0. I was working on an image with 3 layers and I'd been saving very regularly, then my computer crashed. It didn't crash while I was saving but it must have still been saving when it happened because my file got damaged. Now when I open it, it comes up with a message saying 'This document contains Adobe Photoshop data which appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the Photoshop data?' when I click ok it then says 'The embedded ICC profile cannot be used because the ICC profile descrition is invalid. Ignoring the profile'. When the image opens its completely flat and black. I've tries a few recovery programmes but that didn't seem to work. I found a temp file but I don't think it'ss a real temp file because it doesn't have an extension.
On Photoshop Element 11, how do I download the entire picture file? I am able to down load ONLY one picture at a time, but not all pictures at the same file at once for editing.so I can proceed to buy the software?
I've got a catalog that work fine in LR4.4, but when I try to upgrade them to LR5 I get the error, "Lightroom couldn't update the format of its catalog file because the file appears to be damaged." The catalogs aren't damaged as they work perfectly in LR4.4. I urgently need to update them to a new mac with LR5.
I am not the most technically savvy lady so I might have made this issue worse.
After I first installed the Creative Cloud and downloaded Photoshop, I attempted to open the program and it said "file is incomplete or damaged".
I tried deleting it out of the applications in the side folder to re-install thinking it would get rid of it but the tab is still there. How do I delete Photoshop to re-install? Is that possible?
Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac Late 2012 Mac mini, 2.6GHz i7, 16 HB RAM, Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
I purchased and downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 as an upgrade to Photoshop Elements 10. Download and installation appeared to be completely normal but when I launch the Photo Editor the following message appears:
Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application.I have:
Reinstalled PE12 from the original downloadDeleted PE`10 and reinstalled PE12 from the original downloadRedownloaded PE12 and resinstalled it from the new downloadUninstalled PE12 and reinstalled it from the second downloadManually scrubbed every trace of PE12 and reinstalled it from a third download.I am still getting the warning message. From what I can tell from cursory testing the Photo Editor appears to be functioning correctly other than the damaged installation warning message.
caused by a flood in my location (Bavaria/Germany), I have many damaged photos, which where stored in cellar, which was flooded. The photos are dirty and wet, but they can be cleaned and dehumidified. Many photos have now areas with ruined colors and "fire blizzards" on it. can I prepare damaged photos with Photoshop elements (8, 9 or 11) in that way, that I get back a good picture?
When I download and try to install Camera RAW 4.6 on my Mac (OSX 10.7.5, Safari browser) I get the following message"Could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
1) how do i create a download file handler to manage file downloads in a website? to be precise, lets say for instance i need to place file samples for my audience to download, how do i go about it?
2) how do i place a file upload handler in a website?
When I bring up n image file from a folder and after I work on it I would like to save in another folder other than from the original download file which is the only choice I seem to get.
Is there way to designate a "default" folder for saving other than having to continually search for the folder I wish to save to?
I just purchased and attempted to download pse 12 (i had version 6) onto my Mac osx and it will not open. Either a box of random script opens or I get an error message that says there is no application to open this software.
i bought adobe cloud and i started downloading all the software and deleting old version. I didn't know there was a special way to delete adobe application so i just dragged it into a program called app cleaner and it deleted all the files. But it won't let me put cs6 photoshop on my computer because it still thinks i have cs6 photoshop beta. how can i get photoshop back onto my computer.

I am having difficulty downloading my raw images to photoshop elements 11. Files are currently on a thumb drive, but I don't know how to download to elements. I have the thumb drive plugged in --- not sure where to go from here. I have verified that I have the plug in - version 7.1.0.354.
I am trying to load the Actions Exchange for PSE11 as recommnded by Scott Kelby but can't open the .ZXP file from Adobe. Searching the net seems to produce various programs that all look a bit dodgy and seem to want to do other stuff e.g. Regedit. What I should do to open this file in a safe and simple way. I have windows 7.
I recently had to re-install my adobe photoshop elements 9 and all my photoshop brush downloads have disappeared from my photoshop elements 9 and I cannot download anymore brushes.
my CS3 Extended (ENG ver. ) stopped open any file (new, photos, files any format...).
The CS3 shows error when I try to open any file. After that windows XP closes the application Sometimes CS3 opens small .jpg but very, very slow (1MB last about 3 min). Yesterday I did reinstalation but without results.
I frequently place Photoshop files into Illustrator CS3 without issue.... the PS file places right into the file with transparent surroundings.
I just upgraded to CS5 and for some reason, I "Place" the Photoshop file, but nothing shows up in Illustrator. I must not have a preference set correctly.
I took some pictures yesterday and wanted to download them and a message "Failed to load plugins required to get media from devises" What can I do to corrwect this? That never happened to me before in all the years I have been using this program
I just downloaded photoshop elements. When I try and open the download it asks what application do I want to use to open. I don't know. I have a macbook air.
