How do I delete disconnected thumbnails in Elements 11?
In previous versions, I could easily do this using Reconnect All Missing Files, but Reconnect no longer has an option to delete thumbnails, that I can see.
How do files become disconnected and how do I reconnect them all?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using Elements 9 for more than a year. Today it started doing something crazy. When I edit a photo (did this using "guided edit"), instead of saving the edited version (in a version set), all I get is a grey screen with an hour glass. When I go to my hard drive, I find both the original and the edited version saved, but it no longer shows up in Organizer.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI backed up my Elements 10 catalog to an external hard drive.I then built a new computer, and installed Elements 10. I then used the Restore feature and restored my catalog to a new location.
All of the pictures came in along with my tags, etc. but all of the pictures are showing a generic icon with a question mark, meaning that they are all disconnected.
When I click on a picture and look at the location, it is still showing the old location, even though I used the Restore function and specific a new location, so Elements obviously knows where the pictures are because it put them there!!!
How to delete thumbnails from the libraries.When I right click on the thumbnail, DELETE is greyed out, when I select the thumbnail and hit DELETE on the key board, also does not work. Just recently upgraded to X3.

When I save an edited picture as a psd image using pse9 on my Macbook Pro I just get an ikon showing a torn document in the Organizer. I can see the image in "Recently saved files" and I can load them from there.

Suddenly, yesterday, every time I click on a picture in Organizer, it grays out and turns into a gray square with a broken gray photo shape inside it. The same file opens up fine in the Editor and the thumbnail still appears in my My Pictures folder. It opens fine in Picasa. Why this is suddenly happening? The files are .tif and some have been Edited and saved, including some with Adboe layers, but this should not effect the Organizer. Is there something that needs to be reoptimzed or done. It is making the Organizer completely worthless for me.

Why is Elements presenting broken thumbnails for all of my photos and how do I fix this? After importing my media files I found that the MP4 files from a Samsung HMX-W300 did not have thumbnails in the Organizer and only the audio would play, not the video. All the other video files I had were ok. The Samsung files also played just fine in Premier 11, WMP and Quicktime player. why they won't play from within the Organizer? My computer is running Win 7 64 bit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying PS Elements 9. I've imported my pictures into the Organizer but some of the pictures don't have thumbnails. Instead they have a placeholder graphic with a flower on it and a blue triangle with an exclamation mark. I don't see any explanation of what this might mean. These pictures did not generate errors when they were imported. The pictures were scanned photos, just like the ones that imported correctly.
I've tried deleting the pictures from the catalog and reimporting. I've tried updating the thumbnail. The picture can be opened and edited in Elements but even if the edited photo is saved as a copy, it does not display a thumbnail.
Just upgraded PSE & PE v11 to v12 now mp4 videos do not show thumbnails in Elements Organizer, vido does play but no sound . Video with sound does play in output projects. Same mp4's on same PC work fine in PSE & PE v11? Have upgraded to latest version of Quicktime.
