When I create a new blank file, the window that opens for the project, is suppose to have a preset for scrapbook,like in the other versions, or it has changed for something else. I do see one that says clipboard, but is not highlighted, so it does not work. Is there a new way of creating a scrapbook in ps elements 11

View 6 Replies View Relatedin Corel Draw X4, we can use the scrapbook docker to see thumbnail of locals files, but when this files are on a network share or if this network share is mapped to local drive, thumbnails does not show up. But when I use File/Open to this network share or mapped drive, thumbnails are ok.
I also heard that in X5 scrapbook is depreciated, is there an alternative?
I've recently installed X4 (running it on Windows 7) and for some reason when I open the scrapbook I can't preview any of the thumbnails - they just appear as a generic symbol (see below). How do I change this so that I can view the thumbnails properly?
I've also changed the settings so that once a bitmap has been inserted, I should be able to double-click to open the bitmap in Photo paint - but this doesn't work either!
I don't see thumbnails, only icons of JPG photos.

I just can't seem to work out how to make the solid white background transparent. I have saved the image as a PSD, then used Magic Extractor hoping that I could highlight to retain the image and then 'highlight' the backround to become transparent, but it does not seem to work that way.

Creating a collage based on A4 dimensions works great.
Then restarting windows 8 and starting elements 11 the application crashes every time when creating a collage.
Removed Elements 11 and reinstalling it, then creating a collage works fine .. until i restart windows 8.
I just started with Elements 11 and imported my iPhoto library. I am unable to delete pictures and get the above error when trying to create albums. Why I can only have 3000+ folders and unable to organize? I also tried to import my albums from iPhoto without success. Can I just keep all photos in iPhoto and edit with elements?

They seem fine in the slideshow, but when I output to .WMV I get the audio but not the pics. I have done this many times before and it has worked fine, not sure why it isn't working now.
I am trying to take these to Premier Elements to create a DVD with menus. If I take the slideshow/project, rather than a .WMV, it tells me it doesn't like .jpg and I get some black frames. In the past, if I created .WMVs.
Loaded my photos into an album. I am trying to create a photo book for Christmas and have started working with a company other than Shutterfly because of page design offerings ? Can I upload an entire album to that company? I have tried and I am having difficulty. Do these photos need to be uploaded to that company in folders or must I upload individually or can I do the entire album at once? I am dealing with hundreds of photos.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried to create a Photo Collage in PSE 11 but everytime I do, the program closes on me. I have tried in both Organiser and Editor.
It starts off OK and comes up with the sizes. I choose 297 x 210, the landscape option, which is not the default and the only other option is Basic layout - no other options available.
I then hit OK and the screen comes up with Adobe PSE11 has stopped working. Check online for a solution to the program or Close the program. I have tried to check online but it just closes anyway.
I have a Dell XPS 8500 with i7 3rd gen processor, 32 gb memory, 2 tb hard drive, AMD radeon 7800 video card, Windows 8, 64 bit. half way through the creation process the program stops and closes, after the first time losing everything I started saving the project every few minutes but it continues to crash. my PC is 2 months old and the drivers are up to date, what gives?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Elements 9 I want to select and copy a layer which is partly empty. This is to make a layer mask. The non-empty part is too complicated to select using any of the Select tools. If I use Select All, then copy and paste to a new layer, the pasted image is not in the right place - it has been displaced significantly. I am then not able to use it to create a layer mask, because it will not be properly placed above the original image. Why does this displacement happen ? Is there something I can do to avoid it ?

For example from the File Menu I select New Document and key in sizes required making any other adjustments. I name the file and close the document.When I open a document to select a custom preset that I have created the Custom Box displays but the dropdown "size" box (where I need to select my preset) is Greyed out.
Seems I am not the only one who is having difficulty with something that is normally straightforward and I wonder if the problem is down to an oversight or bug.
How do I move just the final edited photo to an album but retain the original and edited versions in the catalogue. ? Every time I try, all the copies move to the album and when I try to remove the unwanted copies from the album it removes all of the particular photo.
