View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile working and when the job was nearly done (Photoshop document with several layers to correct wrinkles, teeth, neck...) , I found out that the document is setup RGB.I have to convert it into CMYK but I don't want to merge it or lose layers since I need them in another Photoshop document too.
While converting the image from RGB to CMYK, I found out that some of the layers (hue/saturation adjustment layers) don't exist anymore when converted to CMYK...How do I get these layers (or at least the effect they give to the design) in CMYK?
When you convert a document into cmyk the colour picker still shows rgb. How do you pick colours using cmyk? Has it converted the pixel values into cmyk or has it kept it as rgb and somehow is converting these rgb values into cmyk for the screen?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried opening an Inventor Assembly file (.iam) with Microsoft Word, Notepad, and Wordpad but there is a big problem with text conversion. When I open them I get radical characters that makes it impossible for me to make sense out of.
My hope was to open an assembly file as a text document and modify it to get a different result when opening the model (i.e.- moving a part from one position to another in the assembly by modifying text). Sort of like when I modify a post processor in MasterCAM to produce a different program with if/then statements or changing text. Ultimately I want to create an assembly model that reflects our inventory as sort of a "virtual warehouse" where a quick look at the model would let you know where you have space to move and store new inventory.
I think being able to modify inventory locations by modifying text and letting the model update would be faster and easier than someone modifying the model at the end of each day with Inventor.
Is there any type of text conversion software that could take an Inventor assembly file and convert it into readable text?
Script which would convert the layers in a document to artboards? At present I have a lot of documents with a couple of hundred layers on each of them, but I've decided to change the way that I organise my workflow and started using artboards instead. I don't really have the time to spend moving them individually from a layer over on to an artboard as there are a lot.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using PSE 9 to crop JPEG scaned documents. In the past I have cropped these images and used the crop box to center the scanned image. The crop box usually goes past the edge of the document. When I did this in the past, the area off the document and inside the crop box would turn white, which is what I need it to do. Now it is turning black. how to get it back to defalting to white.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from PSE 10 to PSE 12 this week and am confused about a change in behavior.
I create a large blank document (3600x3600 pixels, scrapbook size) and then drag other items onto it to create new layers.
In PSE10, the items I dragged in kept their original size. In PSE 12, they get resized to match the size of the document I'm dragging them on to.Is there a setting I need to change? Can't find it.
Elements 7 used to place my photos in a new document and there was very little resizing to do. now with elements 10 and 11, my photos are placed way larger than the document and i have alot of annoying resizing to do on every one. There must be a way to change this.

I just need to know if elements can work in CMYK, or do I have to purchase another Photoshop format - if so, what is the cheapest way I can do this?
