Photoshop Elements :: Camera Is Busy Or Not Connected
Mar 25, 2013I have elements 5 and a new windows 8 computer. My downloader does not open at all when camera is connected or dows the downloader icon show up at the bottom right as before. If I go into the photoshop menu and click get photos from camera, it says camera is busy or not connected. When I first mentioned my problem someone said to download a certain service patch which I did. All that did was make the icon for the downloader go away and not it will not open at all. Is this all because of windows 8? I had XP before. If the elements 5 will not work on new window 8, then I should just get rid of it.

May 11, 2013my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message

so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).

Lightroom :: 5 Does Not Find Files On Camera For Import?
Dec 1, 2013I have been using Lightroom 5 happily for several months with no problems. A few weeks ago, I started getting the message at the import screen that previews were not available. This was OK, I just guessed on which I needed to import.
Starting last week, I cannot import files from either of my cameras. On the import screen, when it is trying to find files, it just hangs up. Have let it go for half an hour and nothing. When I click "cancel", I get the message that Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have tried purging the cache, though I'm not sure it is working, as I never get any message that the purge has been successfully completed. I click the button and nothing happens. I have tried starting a new catalog in case my other one is too big (approx 14,000 images), but same problem. I have tried installing the beta 5.2 version, still same problem.
I would love a solution to this, as for now I am having to import the NEF files by just dragging them to a folder on my desktop, and then importing the files from that folder into lightroom (when importing from folders on the computer, I have no problems).

Jan 31, 2012I've just purchased a Pentax K-5 but when I import .DNG files from this camera into LR 3.6 there is only Adobe Standard and Embedded as options in Camera Calibration. I checked the release notes and the Pentax K-5 was supposed to be supported in Camera RAW 6.3. I looked in the relevant folder and I can see profiles for other Pentax cameras but not the K-5.

I can access the camera and eye etc. but cannot find the property related to zoom. I initially thought it was to do with the position of the eye but when I use the "Zoom" by dragging the mouse button I see that the eye position doesn't change.

Feb 26, 2013It said there were updates in PSE 10 (help/updates) for Application Manager and Camera Raw. I let it install both, I rebooted, and the ACR says 6.7 and not 7.3. It will not read my Canon 6D RAW files. When I check help/updates again, it says everything is up to date.

I have just purchased a Nikon D610 and it seems I need to downlaod Camera Raw 8.3 but it doesn't seem to work with PSE 11. When I check the adobe site it appears that I need PSE 12! How can this be when my software is less than one year old!! Is it adobe money grabbing again? Are there any plans to add support for RAW photos taken on the Nikon D610, which after all is only a very minor change to the Nikon D600, to PSE 11?
