I need software (free?) to detect the edges of my subject then crop to a certain distance from the subject. Any ideas? Time is of the absolute essence. Or better yet I need a way to select my subject then place it on a white background using an action.
I use Photoshop CS3 extended on Vista.
I want to have some kind of collision-detection within two symbols. So when one symbol collides with another there will appear be text like "squash" or something.
I haven't found anything about collision-detecting in edge animate, but I thought I could handle it with looking for the same css-parameters of both symbols. Obj1 is moving to Obj2 on a motion path. Now I want to have a Text, when it reaches Obj2.So I tried it like this:

I'm using Animate to create a lesson/course and I would like to be able to click on a word in the text and have a new text box open with a definition/explanation of the word clicked. Is there a way to do that in Animate? I haven't been able to figure it out.

adobe animate (normal version and also the CC Animate Version) crashes if i try to set an JS Action over {} Button.
I´am using the latest iMac Version with 3,2 GhZ Core i5 processor, OS X MAVERICKS latest update 10.9.
I need to make two animtions function from one action. So it should look something like plsy.("transition1") then go and play .("transtion2"). All under the same action I want when I press one button from my wb page for it to play two animations the first to take a rectangle like element off screen and the second to bring a new fro the side on the screen all this with the press of one button.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI like being able to loop the animation in Edge so it will play continually. But coordinating an edge animation with a number of different layers for each object makes me want to be able to loop each layer. Right now it seems you can only insert an action trigger in the general timeline. Is it possible to insert action triggers to individual layers?

I have set up layers for each color, and layers for each texture. Right now it cycles through them in a regular pattern. But I'd like to set individual loops for each color and texture layer so that the animation varies a little.
I have a text object in my Animate comp. It's pulling in HTML using JQuery's .html command. What I'd like to do is from that HTML, I'd like add an a href or similar link where onClick something happens to another Animate symbol. In this case, I'll make it simple and just show a div, but it could be anything. Of course, Animate has actions for symbols in the Elements panel, but this needs to happen from the HTML itself. Like this:
sym.$('content').html('<p>If you click this link, the <a href="sym.$("gallery").show();">Photo Gallery</a> will appear.</p>');
OK, this is a simplified version and I realize the syntax in the a href is completely wrong. But you get the idea. I click in that text and a div now appears on the screen. Also would be great to do it from an image link as well.
So is there a way to do this in Edge Animate? It's important I need to find a way to make this work.
I'm comparing the memory settings of my new installation of CS4 with my old CS2, and note the following discrepancy (under Edit -> Preferences -> Memory/Performance):
Available RAM
CS4 2569 MB
CS2 2698 MB
CS4 is thus missing 129 MB of available RAM.
these values are indicators of available addressable memory space only, and have nothing to do with the RAM actually free or in use by Photoshop at that time. In that case, they should be the same for both CS4 and CS2, but they are not.
For those of you with both CS4 and any prior version of Photoshop still installed, do you see similar discrepancies?
I hope this is the right place to ask. I have had some people complain that there is often noise in many my photos. The problem is I am unable to see it myself. Maybe it is my poor vision. Mt question is, "Is there a way that a person can make the area of a phot that has noise in it stand out like in a highlite or something making it obvious where it needs removed?"
I am envisioning a software that makes all areas of the photo red where the noise is. I have the software tools that you use to remove it but first I need to be able to see it. If this is the wrong forum for this question, please direct me to where the right one is. Notice, I did not say, "Tell me where I can go?.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI currently have a Lenovo X61T Tablet PC and I am testing out Photoshop CS4.When I try to set the brush to be pressure sensitive I get the little "!" icon displayed saying that I must have a tablet installed for this feature to work.I also have the FREE program of “Paint.net” installed on this tablet pc and that is able to detect the pressure sensitivity perfectly. So I would have thought this would rule out any driver issue as the functionality is working its just that Photoshop doesn’t seem to detect it and enable it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Illustrator CC every time I click Merge Paint I need to go back to Live Paint > Gap Options > and reset Gap Detections to "Paint stop at Small Gaps". Despite I set "Paint stop at Small Gaps" as my default many times now, it seems that Illustrator CC does reset it automatically to "Custom Gaps" and therefore Merge Paint doesn't work correctly. A nightmare, I am forced to use Illustrator CS6!

I'm seeking full control and want to select the boundaries myself and hope some of you can tell how to switch off or avoid this automatic process of boundary detection that usually follows "h" ↵ ( "hatch" ↵ or "bhatch" ↵ ).
It seems to me at one time I was able to just click the check box "Enable Profile Corrections" and LR would automatically detect the lens I used and apply it. Now it wants me to scroll through the list to the bracnd name--then it applies it.

Yellow, pink and blue are the ones that have automatically appeared but i cant see my current colour group.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble getting the edges of my eyes to look like they are part of the chair, which got me wondering. Is there a way to feather my edges with increased intensity closer to the edge? To be specific, I'd like to start the feather 100px inside the border with 60% opacity, all the way to the edge (border) with 0% opacity. I tried doing this manually a couple of ways and it just didn't look uniform.
I have also tried with the eyes seperated (without the middle area), but I still have the same issues.
When I go to crop or move an image close to the edge of the canvas it jumps to the edge. I am having trouble especially with cropping the space between the image and the edge of the canvas the way I want it. turning off this jumping to edge problem I'm having?
Also, I've used CS4 a fair bit and haven't come across this same problem but in PE when I'm editing things like adjusting text on a layer and I'm changing options with hotkeys to resize the text box for eg, Elements seems to jump to the background layer quite alot and then I have to click back on the layer I want to edit between changing tools. Is it something to do with the Esc key?
How do I fade the edges of a photograph into the background so there is no hard line? Once I did it by spraying the background color over the photo outline, but I know there is a better/easier way. What standard filters apply only to edges? I frequently want to do a torn edge, wavy edge, etc.

I know I make the circle selection and inverte it before doing a quick mask. But I can't figure out what filter and settings to use to make a toothed edge around the outside.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi am trying to build an action where the end product is a channel listing that has all the channel (R-G-B-L-C-Y-M-K (forget LAB a-b)). this will allow me to look at all the channels for contrast and subsequent extraction. i'm actually able to do this as i RECORD the action. but when i RUN the action, nothing happens.
in recording the action, i create a DUPLICATE IMAGE, then convert the new image to LAB. i then drag the "L" channel to the original image. it goes into the original image as an alpha channel which i rename to "Lightness." i then convert the duplicate image to CMYK and then one-by-one DRAG the individual channels to the original image. at the end of this process, i have all eight channels visible in the channels palette. this is what i want.
but then, when i RUN the action on a new image, the action fails to RECORD the "drag step and drop" step. the "L," "C," etc. channels are not dragged during the running of the action.
why does the "drag" step not record in the action
needs to overlay a grid over a photo and then save it as another file. In CS5.5 or earlier, no problem, but in CS6 it is not working for either of us.
The batch action (run from either Photoshop or Bridge) stops and prompts at the Save command every time no matter what format we save it in (psd, png, jpg, save for web, etc.).
I have been through the Web and the Adobe Forums and cannot find a work around for this. He cannot just hit enter everytime the popup window comes up because he has over 2700 photos to put this grid on.
I have an existing HTML page (created in Adobe Muse) and I am trying to draw some Adobe Edge objects on top of the page (e.g. a rectangle or an image). When I look in the layers panel, the Edge objects show as top in the list. However, visually when I look at the page, the elements show behind the pre-existing HTML page from Muse.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Autocad 2000LT and trying to locate as many 1.5" diameter circles as I can within a 21" diameter circle keeping all the circle .500" apart from any other circle and .500" away from the outer edge. Am using the array function. Trying to bring the first circle up to the line thats .500" in from the 21" outside diameter.
First when I zoom the 1.5" circle looks like a series of lines, not a smooth round circle. First how do I smooth out the appearance of the circle. Second, what commands do I use to move the edge of the circle to just tough the line so that when I measure from the outside dia to the far edge of the small circle I get 2".
