View 1 RepliesI hand drew some pictures of rats that I have to use for a video pitch assignment. I'd like to add some fur using the live effect found in the Eye Candy 4000 plugin. I have disabilities and drawing in Xara is very difficult. Is it possible to add a live effect to a picture without having to draw over it using the program? I also drew smiling cheese that I'd like to add the gradient glow live effect to.

I took some pictures my cat with a SONY cybershot 3.3 megapixel camera at 1024x768. I saved it to the computer and opened it in microsoft picture view and it looks fine. You can tell each hair individually. When I want to edit it in photoshop, it turned out to be fuzzy and cartoony like. It was loosing some colors and you can't make out individual hair strands. I then opened it up in AI. It looks the same as it was with microsoft picture viewer. It was as if it can't display any more colors. I checked the settings and it appeared to be correct. I don't know what is wrong. I have not yet reset the profile yet (I never changed it). I will try that tonight. I would not know what to do after that.
I have now reset the profile too but it still does not work. It looks very grinny. It is almost as it is not displaying all the colors. I have ATI X850 XT and Dell 24" Ultrasharp and Sony 19" so I don't think it was monitor or video card problem because the picture still looks fine in Adobe illustrator.
how the "drawn" effect on this photo was done:
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new drawing tablet (Monoprice Graphics Tablet) and i set up everything perfectly fine. However, i opened photoshop cs6 and when i draw, there would be an extra line. when i draw a semi circle, it automatically completes the gap with a straight line when i lift the pen up or stop drawing and it's really bothering me.
Here is a gif that i made to demonstrate what i mean: (click if it doesn't move)also... my lines appear to be sort of jittery or non-smooth. even my mouse looks smoother than when i use my pen..
Excuse my ignorance but how can I resize or change the radius of a rectangle after it has been drawn other than the free transform tool in Photoshop? In other words I would like to be able to resize rectangular shapes after drawn by inputting a new dimension, something like Flash where you just type in the dimensions you want.
Would someone be so kind and explain me how this works in Photoshop or show me the easiest way to resize and change the corner radius of a rectangle.
I would like to take a photo of my face and make it appear in the same way as on the picture below, but I don't know Photoshop well enough to even know where to start. (None of the filters get close to what I want to achieve). Can I do this in PS?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWith my inkling pen i've created a drawing for PS. It now contains 30 layers, each one has a line. I would like to animate these lines/layers, so it looks (in an animated gif) like the lines are drawn one by one.
Is there a "quick" way to do so?
I've been trying so hard to achieve the look of this picture. I am not sure how to get the outline like if it's hand drawn and also the shadow that goes on the outline. Not sure what tools I should use to get the outline and shadow look that way. I already tried several brushes but I haven't found anything like this one.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI know this is a very simple task, but in Fireworks, after you draw a rectangle with the rectangle tool, all you have to do to change the dimensions of it is to go down to the Properties box and change them.

View 9 Replies View RelatedLet's start with a blank canvas. I draw a straight line down one side of my image using the pen tool (not freeform). It creates the line. I Ctrl/Click away from it to complete the path.
Now I want to add some layer effects to this pen line and nothing happens ................ Can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening?
For some reason after drawing shapes with the shape tool, whether it is one line or a custom shape, I just can't edit it after drawing it. I can't edit it at all and it doesn't appear on any layer. I can delete every single layer and the shape will still be there.
They are not paths, but just to double check I did look under paths but it is empty. It doesn't matter what else I've done, or whether it is a new blank page I can't do anything with any shape once I've drawn it.
I can't get it to select it when I click show transform controls, I can't select it with the marquee tool and delete it (because it isn't on any layer) and I can't place anything over it to cover it.
I have to keep saving before drawing any shape and close and reopen the file if the shape doesn't go quite as I wanted first time. Obviously if I want anything over the shape in any way I can't do it.
how to set the radius of a rounded edges box BEFORE I draw it, but I can't find how to adjust it AFTER I draw it!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am making a conatct sheet of photos. I wanted to define the outside edge of the photos, so I used the Rectangular Marquee to draw an outline around the perimeter, and then I went to Edit>Stroke (Outline) Selection. I chose the weight of the line (I made it 3 pix) and successfully had the outline. I then saved the file.
But now I want to change the weight of the line (down to 1 pix). But I can't figure out how to delete the 3 pix line.
In a document of dimensions 4096 x 1536, the dotted style grid fails to be drawn beyond 2000 pixels from the left, when viewing the document at 50% magnification or greater. Here's a screenshot:[URL]...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a very annoying problem. When drawing rectangles with grid / guidelines showing using 960 Grid System (although it happens with other documents as well), the edges of the rectangle are not sharp, e.g. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6232/blurred.png - note top and right side is blurred. There are no styles applied.
When I switch off grids / guidelines, the rectangles are always sharp.
Also, resizing rectangles causes loss of sharpness to edges.
Using CS4.
I have attached an image of a butterfly with a broken effect on its wings. You can see the effect inside the marching ants. How do i get this kind of effect?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI work for an electrical company, so obviously there's plenty of symbols that are used on our drawings. Now, I want to create a legend of all the symbols we use, but I want to put them in a table. Is there any way of doing it, so that rows can be hidden but not lost from the table?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from AutoCad LT 2008 to 2013. I cannot offset a line that is drawn the x-axis. I also cannot copy an item with the ORTHO command on and run it along the x-axis. I'm only allowed to move it along the y-axis. I've now waisted at least three hours messing with every possible command that I can think of trying to fix it. What do I have set wrong?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was wondering is there an option where you can dim or change the opacity of a drawn line? Similar to when you can change the linetype and linewieght, is there a precentage that allows to dim lines? Like when you insert .pdf plans as underlay, and you can actualy reduce the opacity. So that when you plot the plan drawing, some lines look solid black, but some are almost impossible to see? Or should I just change the colour of the line to light gray?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with two drawingentities.
a circle drawed in the layer named "layer01" and
a line drawed in the layer named "layer02"
Now I want a vba code that select (highlight) all drawn entities in layer01 and layer02.
Using some slightly modified code from the samples provided by Autodesk as shown below I'm attempting to draw a simple leader with MText annotation.
In the attached bitmap the top leader shows the result of running the code and the bottom one the appearance I want which is obtained by changing the AutoCAD properties of the leader under

Text pos vert
from 'Above' to 'Centered'
I can't identify anything in the API which allows me to draw with this change, but feel it should be there. Searching the web for code to draw leaders, basically only returns minor variations on this code with only the same functionality.

I have drawn a 3d polyline across a stream channel and want to rotate it about the x-axis so i can trace the elevation profile of the crossing. 3d rotate in civil 3d 2012 is not allowing me to pick the axis i want to rotate about? This worked great in previous versions? This is very simple and i dont have a need for a surface or sections or profiles...i just want to trace the 3d polyline profile.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have existing drawings that I copy and manipulate into new ones. I have a drawing of a conveyor line that has some segments "highlighted" with a yellow hatch that appears to follow a single line. The conveyor layout has been changed. So I need to update the drawing for the new layout. I'm wondering how this was drawn. I cannot explode the hatch to copy parts of it. I'm thinking there was probably a simple way to get the hatch to follow the drawn line. Putting boundaries around the drawn line to hatch in would be rather time consuming. Is there a simple function I don't know about?
View 6 Replies View Relatedi play around with a gimp-image. i want to "ERASE" the text in the balls.
Well i guess that this is a bit tricky - since the background of the circles/balls is somewhat different and has sometimes multiple "(!!!) background-colors. So if we try to get the original - color of the circles then this is somewhat tricky.
