View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to get a brush exactly 2 pixels square? If i set the Radius to 0.7, i get a 3 pixel brush, if set to 0.6, i get a 1 pixel square brush. I mainly use GIMP to touch up scanned in forms and tables and most of the lines are 2 pixels which means twice as much work to correct a skewed line.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI make regular use of a Flash image gallery that requires me to provide small square 50 x 50px thumbnails whatever the shape of the original images. The only solution I have found so far is to first manually sort my original images into landscape and portrait folders and then run a different action on each folder to create the thumbnails.
Is there any way to design an action that would work equally well on both landscape and portrait images?
Develop Module: when using brush, it often shows up as a big square. Only the actual round brush area is modified, but it is annoying to have a big square block the view. The included cropped screen shot shows the brush working on the green part of the plant - and a larger square lighter part around this.

I set the base of the pond and execute the grading at the desired slope and it generates the pond just fine, with the exception of rounded corners. I need the corners to be square, mitered corners instead of the round.
I'm using Civil 3D 2013.
I have a shape that I want to add a blend layer to by creating a square, adding a gradient then making it an overlay on top of said shape. The issue I am having is I cant find a way of masking out the unwanted areas of the blend layer. I have tried to follow the steps the official help and other internet help sections but it's not working. It's so easy in photoshop. How come it's so difficult in Illustrator? Is there something I am missing? Additionally, a blend layer (in most modes) wouldn't show any colour if overlaying upon white in photoshop. How come this isn't so in Illustrator?

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is a very old project and even with more knowledge in 3D, still unable to do it. I have a stool with incline legs using the LOFT command (Extrude with Path can also do it). Now I need to add a tranverse section. I wanted to have the tranverse section same dimension as the leg.
Given the inclination of the leg, it is impossible and futile to align ucs using 3 points or face because there is no 90 deg between the two edges. Further more given there is no extrude to face as in inventor, it is sound difficult to extrude between the "/" form and the "" form of the two legs.
D problem? On geometry, is there a rule to adapt here with respect to section dimension?
I must have fat fingered something and I now when I click on the Eraser Tool or the Brush Mask Tool instead of getting a circle or square, I get and icon of the tool instead. They still work but they're harder to use without seeing the circle or square depending on what's selected. I've been using Corel for many years and never had this happen and I can't figure out how to switch back.

i'm trying to create a custom brush out of a photo i took. i've been watching vids and reading and i follow the steps just the same as they show. When i get to the part of define brush preset it doesn't let me click it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded some free brushes to try out, and can upload them no prob. but can only add them to preset groups of brushes (such as basic brushes, calligraphic brushes etc. As i have a lot of brushes to add, the group becomes big and hard to manage.
Is there a way I can add a new group of brushes, where I can put all of my custom brushes, to keep them seperate from photohsops preset brushes?

Could anyone advise me if it is possible, and if so how to create an action with a brush.
I've created a brush which is just my copyright information that I want to stamp in the bottom left of every photograph when it is converted to a JPEG.
My convert to JPEG action works fine, but I can't seem to record an action that uses the brush.
In pervious versions of photoshop you could make a path with the pen tool and press esc to basically deselect the path without closing it. This would also allow you to make multiple paths so that you could keep making lines and then stroke them all at once. This no longer works with photoshop CC. Pressing esc just deselects the path but when you try to start a new path it continues the first one. Is there anyway to get this feature back in CC? It is such a waste of time to stroke individual paths instead of drawing all the lines with the pen tool and stroking them all at once.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have reviewed a couple of videos on how to create a watermark "stamp" by using the define brush option. However after following all of the instructions up to the point where I am supposed to select the area to define I can go no further. It says to select the image/text and then go to edit -> define brush. When I do this the define brush option is faint and I cannot select it. The videos all appear to be done using Elements 11 or earlier. It this a glitch with 12?

I am having difficulty getting color in the middle and white as the edge/shine. I keep getting color as the shine and white in the middle. I suppose I am doing something wrong with the choice of white, black, gray, and alpha while making the brush.
I just completed a project that involved four layers. this was my first attempt at layering and i must say it turned out real nice. After I finished I thought I would go back and do some retouching with the healing brush but I now get a message that "cannot use the healing brush because the target layer is hidden".
From now on I will do my correction and retouching before I add layers.
Anyway to use the healing brush or clone stamp now on the finished (layered) file???
