Jul 31, 2012I have done an advertising piece that will be emailed to a client list in Photoshop, just because I am comfortable with it, and I was wondering if there is a way to create a link to a website in Photoshop versus having to go to another software just for that text line to become a link?

Apr 14, 2005When i am designing a layout and i want to put the sections on the left side or the right side with a nice font and blend or filter for the name of the section if the size that i have to work with is limited and i have a lot sections how do I add those sections if the canvas I have in photoshop isnt big enough to put all my sections?
Also, do i just put the name of the sections right under eachother and then slice some sort of content box under them or do i space them out a little bit to put a content box? These parts are really confusing me and I have been trying to figure it out but i cant.

Jun 28, 2012I have a small project that I'm working on that inserts a new layout based on a user selected template size (A, B, C or D sizes). I need the program to insert the layout along with the titleblock geometry from the existing A, B, C, or D dwt files.
I know how to add a new blank layout. However, I'm having some trouble determing how to insert the titleblock geomtry. I've read a number of posts on here related to layouts, and while they were informative, none of them covered exactly what I need to do.

Jan 10, 2014If it is possible to create a sectional view from my model and place that section in a new viewport without changing my other viewports. I have several viewports in my drawing but I need a certain detail section of the model but I do not want any of my viewports to get affected.
I can not have anything added to my model, since later on I will be using this drawing as a xref and I only want the main model to be carried over and not a section detail.

Aug 28, 2012We have a map of our primary lines in an ESRI .shp file, that superimposes nicely on our other shape files, for shoreline and rivers and everything else, that works fine. As part of some project planning I'm doing, I'm making a series of layouts, each taking a snapshot of an area, with a revision cloud around the lines we're planning to replace.
I loaded the map up this morning and everything was as I saved it, but as I was creating a new layout and zooming to the correct region in my view port, every single revision cloud I drew disappeared. As did all the annotations and other labels I'd made - absolutely everything that isn't from a database just up and vanished.
I've turned off all the database links, there's nothing covering them up, I had none of them selected and used no delete commands, all I did was create a new layout via copy and adjust the viewport on it, they're just gone.

Jul 21, 2010I am currently creating a series of dynamic blocks in order to create tabletop conveyors fro plat layout. I am using AutoCAD 2009 and am currently having issues making the turning sections. I know this is very simple using AutoCAD 2010 as there are geometric constrains available.
The curved sections must be able to have the inside thickness adaptable, the wall thickness must remain 1/2" thick, and the corner sections must have a 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree radii on them (although allowing any angle would be ideal). I was going to use visibility states to achieve the different angles as this seemed the easiest way to do this.
Attached is the basic 90 degree corner with an inside width of 4.5" with leaders labeling the areas that must be adaptive.

When i try to insert a scale bar or a north arrow or any other carthographic element i simply can't find the layout elements that are supposed to be in layout tools tab. I can't use '/' cause i have to press shift+/ ... I dont know its not working.Can i change the "Shortcut-Layout" and use the German layout ?

When I open the templates in Photoshop 7 do I have to choose 300 dpi (the same dpi required for the images I have saved); make all the same choices as I have to for the images, (ie) CYMK, 5x5 inches, 300 dpi etc.? When I have the template open, what is the best way to bring the image to the template?
Is the template considered a layer? Do you always see the template through the image as you are working with layers? What is the easiest way to start another layer? How do you save each layer? How do I make my jpg become a photoshop file? Some of these Qs might be dumb but if you can answer them I may be able to fly.

I've seen that there's a technique to define the four corners and repeat the main element so that the rectangle can be adapted to the dimension of the content.
