Jan 8, 2013Recently I installed PS CS5.1, upgrading from CS4. I thought CS5 automatically started in 64 bit mode. The problem is that it will not recognize more than 4.0 Gb Ram. I have 24 Gh installed which is recognize by the computer. Cannot find as how to check that it is in 32 or 64 bit modes.
System - MacPro 4,1. 2.66 Gh quad core intel processor.
1: How do I find which bit mode it is in?
2: If it is in 32 bit mode, how does one change it to 64 bit?
3: If it is in 64 bit mode, why doesn't it recognize the 24 GB Ram &what solutions are available?
Photoshop :: PS7 And Installed Font Recognition
Jan 9, 2004I installed some True Type fonts on my machine the other day and I noticed that Photoshop does not include them in its list of fonts. Other True Type fonts that I installed in the past are recognized and included.
Is there some way I can get Photoshop to "see" fonts when it does not do so on its own?
I sure would like to be able to use the fonts with Photoshop. I know that some of the ones I installed worked on previous versions of PS.

Nov 29, 2012I am a complete novice in PSE Organizer.
My configuration:PSE 11
Windows 7 64 bit
Everything up to date
I imported my existing data’s in the standard catalogue
Face Detection "manually" performed.
On the first day (program start) no success with it.
The following day (new trial) this function was of (even very) good use.
To improve the duration and clarity I only scanned a single folder (no album!). Important: while doing that, I noticed that in a tray at the bottom a "circle" has gone around. Later I found out that this is the creation of thumbnails. So for sure this "thumb-nailing" was not completed! But it worked...
Yesterday I started the program at new. No possibility for a face recognition. So I startet completely at new, creating a new catalogue, and importing all data’s at new. Deleting the „old“ catalogue. Overnight then automatically create the miniaturization alone.
This morning, same procedure: a single image selected (with enough easily recognizable faces), and start the face recognition. During a very brief moment, a small pop on the screen is visible, where I can see a progress bar filling up. But no faces suggested to set a name on it.

Nov 8, 2013I've been having trouble getting the People recognition tool to work on Elements 12.
It picked up a load of different faces at first, but I still have thousands of photos left which the program now refuses to pick up faces from - whenever I select photos (even in small batches) it comes up with a message saying "No new people found in your selection". However, when I click on the individual photos it still has the windows round the faces asking me who they are.
Need to get the facial recognition tool working again. I'd rather not have to go through each photo individually when batch tagging is so much quicker.

I still have Elements 8 installed. If I delete E8 will this solve the problem and will my pictures still be saved?

I was really looking forward to using the face recognition for tagging the photos but it does not seem to work. When I click "Mark Face" it always says people analysis is yet to be run and when I click yes to run it, nothing happens. Same thing when I click "Add People+", it just flashing something quickly on the screen and then nothing happens. I have "People Recognition" checked in the view screen and "Analyze Photos for people" checked in my preferences.

Then, I opened inventor, went under tools, then clicked the add-in manager icon (the little plus sign). There, I saw the "feature recognition" add-in and set it to "automatic/loaded." Then I imported an stl file and tried to use the feature recognition add-in by selecting and right clicking on the part but could not find the "feature recognition" listed on the list of options. I tried the same thing by selecting the part in the history tree without any success in that way either. How to successfully download this feature recognition add-in and use it to convert an stl file to an inventor part and recreate its history tree? How do I make the feature recognition add-in visible on the ribbon? or how do i call up this add-in so that I can use it?

Chasing these down manually is mission impossible; big issue is that same photo has different name in different folders.

May 23, 2012I recently switched from LDD to Civil 3D 2010 and have since had problems with the command line recognizing Alt Codes when entering leader text. After the leader command is finalized, I am able to edit the MTEXT which does recognize the alt codes. I use alt codes for various symbols and now have to edit leader MTEXT each time in order for the symbols to be recognized. Is there a toggle or some other setting in later versions of AutoCAD that would allow recognition of alt codes at the command line?

Mar 18, 2008When I open a RAW file from the 40D in PS2 I get an error message - 'could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of file'.
I've been processing 30D files (CR2 format) in PS2 for 2 years without a problem. The 40D RAW file is also CR2 format, the same as my 30D.
I'm not sure if it's a camera setting or a PS2 issue.
