Windows 7 PC. Photoshop CC crashes when trying to save a psd file as a jpg file using Save As...
View 6 Replies View Relatedwhy, I changed nothing on my system, recently I can't save for Web anymore. At the point I click the menu-button, the program shuts down, no chance to save anything.I installed it completely new (the whole CS2 suite!) and didn't took over any presets. It's running on Windows 7
View 2 Replies View RelatedI already tried dumping preferences. This started happening suddenly and consistently crashes even on newly created files. Crash report below:

I recently installed CS4, but because of the slow performance problems with it, I've gone back to using CS3. I'm finding that every time I use CS3's Save For The Web function, CS3 crashes. I tried re-installing CS3 but the problem persists. Save For The Web on CS4 is OK.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, my graphics card stopped working, so I've been forced to use an onboard GPU until I can get the money to buy a new one. The problem though, is that the onboard GPU is VERY old (approximately 6 or so years), and every time I try to save something in photoshop CS5, the program crashes without even giving me an error message. Does the graphics card even have anything to do with it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is happening intermittently, most often after flattening a multi-layer image converting to 8-bit then trying to save as a jpeg, the error occurs as various points during the "save as" dialog. When I installed a 3rd party plugin (correctly installed and up-to-date NIK collection) the error occurred more or less on every "save as". I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I've tried resetting prefs and I've removed the 3rd party plugins and I'm back to crashing about 30% of the times I use "save as"
When the error occurs It appears to have an event 1000 in the event log. I've copied the "system info" and one of the crash report texts below:
System info:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 14.0 (14.0 20130423.r.221 2013/04/23:23:00:00) x64

When I save to PNG, Photoshop CS6 x64 tells me its stopped working.I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate. It began happening after I customized my settings & preferences.
If I hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift when launching everything works fine again. After going through all my settings one by one, saving the settings, exiting photoshop, then restarting photoshop, then trying again.. I think I've Narrowed down the porblem
The problem appears to be Isolated in the "Performance" section of PS's Preferences.
I have drives C, D, E, G, I, J, K, & L .... F & H are my Optical Drives, C, D, E, & G are on one HDD, and I, J, K, & L are on a second HDD
When I selected drives D, E, G, I, J, K, & L as my scratch disks and deslected C:, saved settings, exited PS, restarted, dragged a PNG to stage, Photoshop crashed when opening the PNG
When I added C: back to the list, so I had C, D, E, G, I, J, K, L saved, closed PS, re-opened it and dragged the PNG to stage, it crashed again
When I deleted all other drives but C:, saved, exitted, restarted and dragged a PNG to stage, it worked fine again.
When I went through them one by one, adding a drive at a time, I found that drives I, J, & L cause Photoshop to crash.. I, J, K, & L are on the same single physical HDD, but the Partition K: on that Physical Drive works fine in Photoshop
Its apparent this is the problem, as even without restarting Photoshop, dragging in a PNG works fine, simply adding one of these 3 partitions to the list, and hitting ok, will cause it to crash when dragging in the same PNG after saving the preferences
That same Physical drive also is set to Compress files to save more space, but if K also works, its likely not that.i'll check the drives for errors..
Work with an image. Save image. Exit. CRASH.

Intermittently save for web and other function (usually related to saving) crash. I'm running a brand new Win7 64bit box with latest version of CC - Photoshop CC 14. It's crash list thing since I first got Photoshop - so it's not something new, it's been doing this since I have installed the software. I have no 3rd party plugins installed and Photoshop doesn't give me a crash report when it does crash.

We recently upgraded our Adobe Creative Suite from CS3 to CS6. Now I am experiencing issues with Photoshop CS6 I have not seen in previous versions, it seems it cannot save files across a network any longer. If I try to work normally, saving my files to a folder on our server, PS crashes constantly. The new recovery mode is handy but time and space consuming= inefficient for our workflow. My work around is to save files to my Mac, and then copy them to the server later, which is Archaic and also inefficient. When I try to save a PS CS6 .eps to the server, it does not work any longer, I get the message; Program Error or a freeze and crash of Photoshop CS6.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using PS 5.5. Has been working fine for years and suddenly now upon clicking save for web, i get the error message; could not support the export command because Photoshop 5.0 does not supply the services required by the plug-in module and then crashes.

I've tried uninstalling, resetting preferences, and reducing the file size, but when trying to save a GIF, all I get is a frozen screen that says "Export: Save for Web and Devices". The screen looks like it's trying to save, but never does. I've made much larger GIFs with no trouble at all, but I can't even make one with 5 frames now.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem intermittently for years with different versions and different computers, but this time it is not going away. I need to use the 64 bit version for large files, but it keeps crashing in several different ways.
1- I open the program from the desktop. It shows the spash screen, shows the workspace for a couple of seconds, and then crashes with the message:

I am using the latest version. My video card drivers are totally up to date.I am using a decent computer with 16 gig of ram.I am opening the program as an administrator.I have reset the prefrences too many times to count by deleting the prefrences and holding down ctrl+alt+shift at startup.
2- If by some wild stretch of the imagination I get the program to start with totally cleared prefrences and running as administrator then the program will crash about 75% of the time when using "Save As".If I try to do anything special like create a new folder to put the file into then the chances of a crash increase greatly.
3- If I try to open up a file from Lightroom, even if the files are opening every other way, Photoshop will crash very often.
What is going on here? I have made no changes to my computer, have not installed any new programs, and, as I stated earlier, have everything updated. I even stopped using plugins a long time ago because I did not want to take the chance that it was going to cause this fragile program to crash, so all plugins are uninstalled. Why does this keep happening? When this has happened before everything will work fine for months and then suddenly I cannot get the program to open. When it does open again, for seemingly as unknown a reason as when it stopped, it will work anywhere from a few minutes to another couple of months.
This seems to be a problem that tons of people have, but I have not been able to find any answer other than "Delete Settings" or "Run as Administrator" or "Update *****." What can I do to keep this from happening and to fix it when it happens?
PS CC crashing when trying to open multiple images? If you open one file at a time, there are no issues, but 2 or more and it crashes as shown below. I've tried it with JPG's, TIFF's and PSD's and still get the same problem.I've also tried starting it while pressing alt/ctrl/shift, but still get the same problem.
PS CC is version 14.0, 32 bit, running on Windows 7 which is up to date. I do only have 4GB RAM, of which PS takes 60% of it according to the system info panel.I never had this problem before in CS6 or previous.

Illustrator CS 6
Everytime I try to do save for web in Illustrator CS6 it gets hung up and I end up having to force quit the program. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software and it works once but then goes back to doing the same thing. I also noticed that now the program is getting hung up when I try to undo a move or text and again I will have to force quit the program.
Illustrator CC crashes upon saving using OS X 10.75 on a Mac, with Dual Core Intel Xeon processor and 5 MB of memory. Tahoma and Verdana fonts are intalled. We cannot save a crash log, because the computer freezes, and we have to restart!

we are having big problems with our illustrator cs5.1 on windows 7 since today.
For some reason it started crashing when we want to save both new and existing files...
if we open a or existing document in cmyk color mode and just have text and shapes etc in the file it will save it as normal but it will crash trying to save if we placed anything into the file such as a jpeg and it will also crash if we changed the color mode to rgb.
we have tried all we can think off...deleting the illustrator setting files...uninstalling and reinstalling..even with the adobe suite cleaner tool..
It crashes without warning, it just closed... that's all.It happens whenever I try to:- Save (either clicking on the save button or using CTRL+S)- Group (with CTRL+G or by clicking on the Group button after right click), I've tried to remove the "Pattern" and I can group finally, but still closed when I try to save.I try to remove any fillings but still closes when saving (but it didn't got saved at all)I've browsed through the forums and tried everything... nothing works. Even un-install and re-install didn't work.
It even closes when I try to save a blank page (with only an object like rectangle or something on it)
Since this week we have autocad 2013 installed. Everything works correct except for the saving part , 90 % of the time if we save an drawing it crashes .

- Intel Xeon CPU 5160 @ 3,00 Ghz ( 2 processors )
- 8 GB of memory
- SSD ( Vertex 3 )
- Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit
- Autocad 2013
We did alot of research on google but can't really find an solutions , autocad 2012 had no problems with saving files.
Also tried different drawing but even if i start an new drawing and will save it , mostly autocad crashing.
I am using Illustrator CS6 on OS X 10.8.4. Anything that rasterizes the artwork causes Illustrator to hang. Export (PNG), Save for Web, Filters like Drop Shadow or Gaussian Blur (even when just checking the preview box).
I've read through some discussions that suggested:
– Uninstalling the entire CS6 suite and re-intalling it
– Going into Disk Utitlity and 'Repair Permissions'
– Creating a new user account on my Macbook, deleted the old user account and re-installed the CS6 suite
But none of the above suggestions worked. As soon as I create a new user account Illustrator began to crash again upon export the next of couple days.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.. There is no error message, it just says Corel VideoStudio X3 has stopped working... The video is only 48 seconds long (A test video) 1280x720 and was recorded at 30fps.
I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 Video Card and a 3.4GHz processor and 6GB of RAM
I seem to have my task accomplished, but Inventor crahes on me after it is done.
Here is how my iLogic works.
' Deleting the suppressed parts from the assembly
Dim compDef as AssemblyComponentDefinition
compDef = ThisDoc.ComponentDefinition
Dim compOcc as ComponentDefinition
For Each compOcc in compDef
[Code] ........
Now as soon as the last line is executed, Inventor crashes.
But when I go to the save file part (C:MyPath), both the parts and assembly files are saved and if I open it, they work just fine.
I just can't get inventor to stop crashing.
Corel photopaint crashes each time you try to save an image with W 8.1
View 2 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday, I copy/paste text from Word to x6 paragraph text box, save, all fine. But when I attempt to edit that text box, entire program crashes each time I try to save a change.
Sometimes I can make a single change -- add a return -- and save before crash. This is a nightmare. I've relied on Corel for years and suddenly a 5 minute job has become impossible to complete after a day and a half of frustration.
I'm using Win7. This problem started at about the time I added a logitech c920 webcam. The logitech software won't work at all with my system. Logitech says the wacom tablet is the problem.
I've uninstalled the logitech AND restored my system to pre-webcam condition (so they say) but the Corel text bug persists.
