Working on a poster, with a 2D sphere and need to create text along that circluar edge. When select text.. it is always along a straight line. How can it be made along a circular path?
Using 7.0 now , trying to install trial version of CS5.5
I am trying to create a circle that has torn, jagged looking edges but can't figure out how to do it. I thought I could apply a brush but they are greyed out. The brushed do work when I hit pen and draw a freeform circle but then the circle is not perfect.
I follow the tutorial in the Xara Help, but cannot get the results shown. I draw the circle, compose the text, and set it to the middle Select both circle and text Arrange/Fit Text to Curve....the text appears around the lower, right side of the cirle After all this I am unable to manipulate the text (It's a piece of cake to do this in Publisher 2010, but it has some minor problems in appearance)
I created the image below (mostly using a photoshop template I downloaded), but I created the outside text on my own, which I'm having a problem aligning properly. If you notice in the below image, the outside text alignment looks bad.
For the current version below, I used the Warp Text -> Arc tool, but it seems like that tool can't arc beyond a half circle, so I created 2 Arc'd text items and tried pushing them together, which creates the bad alignment you see. Is there any way to create text in a perfect circle in photoshop (or any other adobe product)?
I am using Photoshop Elements (version 4) and I am working with text around a circle. I downloaded a premade text-on-a-path file made by someone with the full Photoshop and it works almost perfectly for what I need. The problem I have is that the text goes upside-down at the bottom of the circle, so how to make a file with the text right-side up at the bottom of the circle. This would make the text upside-down at the top of the circle, but that's fine as I will just use two separate text layers (one for the top and one for the bottom). I've included a quick mock-up of what I'm hoping to have, made with PSE's "Warp text" option which looks messy. I've also attached the psd file I'm using for the top of the circle. (I can't post links yet so they are attached).
I understand how to make text wrap around a circle by using the path tool. But is there any way to make the text wrap around it in a sunburst shape? So that each returned line ends or begins at the path? Here's an image to describe my question.
How to flip the text in my circle using Photo Shop CS6 (cloud version).
I made McDermott as one layer, then photography as another layer. I want Photography to be right side up within the circle, it's upside down as it is now.
Here is a logo I am trying to create for my photography. Once I get the Photography font turned right side up, I will insert a large M in the circle - but 1st things 1st.
I was just wondering how to make text into a semi-circle. Like if I'm trying to make a logo like the US presidencial seals and want text around the outside of a circle. I tried using the warp features but it wouldn't work.
I have a White Circle with a very thick black outline/border. Thick enough to write TEXT.
My exact words:
"Heart of a Lion. Mind of a Panther."
When I **ARC** this text, or any small phrase of it (like "heart of a lion" only), it will never bend the right way to fit into my black circular outline/border.
I'm aware that you can print text along a line. I was just wondering if I missed an even easier option for when I want to print around in a circle.
I'm trying to prepare a picture to print onto a DVD. Since the picture was for a cruise around Australia I thought it might be an idea to just print in a circle? Perhaps have text arch up at top & down at bottom?
how to create a perfect circle, but how do I create that circle perfectly around a certain point or around the center of my square image (whose coordinates should be 50% of width/50% of height of my square image).
My second question is rather stupid.. Since this program was created to be a substitute for MS Paint and also has .net in the name... but will there ever be a linux version? I firmly believe that PDN would be more than capable competition to gimp.
Using Adobe Illustrator 10 for Windows 98 (no kidding).I'm designing a spot logo for a Charity. What I want to do is:
1. Create a black circle (not filled, just the outline) 2. Have a word on top (in this case, International) follow the path of the curve. 3. Have the words "Awareness Fund" on the bottom, right-side up
Here is the issue:
1. I can make the path for the circle but I cannot make it any given color, it just disappears when I click off of it. How do I do this? 2. I can get the word on the top to follow the curve, but I cannot break out of it.. I don't know the term. I cannot get the text tool to 'let go' of the previous word and start new ones. 3. When I try to put the words "Awareness Fund" on the bottom not only do I have the problem that it is still attached to the first word on top but the letters are upside down.. how do I convert them to be right-side up?
I would like to cut out a perfect circle on a digital picture and rotate text around the circle. I have not been able to find a clean way of doing this.
I'm using pse 11 right now. I've got a decent handle on text on shape tool. But I can't figure out how to get text inside a circle. (as opposed to around the outside) I've seen a couple tutorials that reference a little black arrow to move selections (I think within the Text tool menu) , and change orientation of text. I can't see this anywhere. I'm sure there is a simple solution, but I can't figure this one out.
How can I create a hole in a part using a sketch? I tried using the create hole command on a sketch and it still only wants to create a circular hole. How can I create a hole such as a rectangle in inventor?
how to create a segmented circle as shown in the attached image. I have it as a jpg but I want to create it in Illustrator so I can have greater control over the parts. For example, while the image shows three segments, I may have to add another one into the image (it's part of a process demo).
How can I create this verticle pattern within a circle? I have tried using pathfinder tools to stamp out the repeated verticle lines but that doesnt work.
