PS CS3 Extended suddenly stopped working tonight on my two macs. PS starts up, then a blank white box appears and nothing happens. Have to force quit to exit PS. Happens on 24-inch iMac running OS 10.5.8 and a MacBook Air running OS 10.7.2. I reinstalled software, repaired permissions, nothing changes.

I have already installed Service pack 1 for Civil 3D 2014.
I installed this hotfix on 16 computers in my office. So far the command runs successfully on only 4 computers.
Everyone in my company uses Windows 7 64-bit on computers that are identical. Once the hotfix is installed it doesn't work for everyone. It will run, but it returns this error:
"Unable to erase stroke (AcDbZombieObject): eNotAllowedForThisProxy"
That error is displayed thousands of times, I assume once for each unreferenced stroke. The at the end it says this:
"Purged 0 unreferenced complex linetype records (of 0). Purged 0 unreferenced strokes (of 19970)."
For only a few people, when they run DGNPURGE on the same exact drawing and it purges the unreferenced strokes just fine. It then says:
"Purged 0 unreferenced complex linetype records (of 0) Purged 19969 unreferenced strokes (of 19970)"
Each installation of Civil 3D was performed in exactly the same way from a deployment by one of our IT staff members. In addition, we already tried uninstalling Civil 3D and reinstalling it on one of the computers and it still doesn't work.
At the suggestion of Autodesk support I tried starting one of the computers in diagnostic mode and that didn't work either.I made sure to use the files in the px64 folder. In addition, I did try the files in the px86 folder just to see if they would work and they do not.Also, I have installed the Civil 3D 2012 hotfix for everyone and it works fine for everyone including those who the C3D 2014 hotfix doesn't work.
I have a problem with loading a dll file I created with Visual Express 2010. We are using this VB-project in the company for a year now and we have never had a problem with it. But now we do.
The dll is loaded with the use of the Autoloader. For me it is a nice way to load dll and lisp files everybody needs at startup.This is the xml code

Like I said, all went well untill I tried to install another copy of Autocad on another computer. The lisp-files are loading fine on this pc but the dll-file is not loading. When I try to load it with netload everything is ok so the dll should be allright.
Like all other pc's it is a Windows 7 64bit pc and nothing is different form those other pc's. So I really don't know where to look for the problem, let alone the solution.
I tried everything like renaming the dll (no spaces), trying to load the dll only, also loading from the programdata folder instead of the programfiles(x86) folder.
quick and convenient way to keep projects in step between computers, e.g. doing some work on a laptop and then bringing that back to a main PC for further editing, then back to laptop, etc.? Is exporting as a Smart Package the way to go? Are there any alternatives such as keeping a consistent folder structure on both machines so that all media paths are the same and just syncing the differences?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy brushes suddenly won't work at 100% opacity. The opacity will change if I change the slider but never actually reaches 100%. For instance if I'm using red one click will get me pink like I'm at 20% opacity, it will get darker as I increase the opacity slider but never quite reaches 100%. At 100% it is still a shade of pink.I have to click like 10 times to get it red. Everything else works fine, pencil,eraser, etc. I have checked all my settings and can't figure it out.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am an Autocad User for the last 16 years. It is the first time i experience a problem like this. Suddenly plot styles do not work. What ever plot style i use, the drawing (as it is showing in the plot preview) is exactly the same like using plot style "none".
I was forcing to the limits Autocad by adding raster images (like wooden floor jpgs, marble tiles jpgs etc, and Autocad crashed 2 or three times). I reopened it and continued working. The problem came up from nowhere. The one time i saw it on preview like i want it, and after last crash when i tried to see the preview, the result was as mentioned above. Till then, whatever i tried (reload pen styles, tried to other "simple" drawings, restarting PC many times (thought it was a PC memory problem) but still nothing.
The PS I downloaded from CC doesn't work -- no illumination and some other functions -- I deactivated and re-uploaded -functions and then crashed agian -- computer is new and shouldn't be the problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirstly - when I create a document at 48x48 at 72ppi, it comes out as you would expect, 48x48 on a screen. However if I enter 48x48 and try to enter 326ppi, it doesn't adjust the canvas size at all.
Also when I have my 48x48 72ppi document open and go to image > image size, and adjust only the ppi to 326...it does nothing! What should be happening is the canvas become 72:326 ratio larger to reflect the new ppi, or in other words, make the canvas size larger in proportion to this so when you take your new 326ppi image to the iphone it is retina at 48x48...however this is clearly not happening.
In Photoshop CS2, I select Help > How to fix and enhance photos > to touch up spots, scratches, and wrinkles. Instead of help on that, Adobe Help Center 2.1 shows up with nothing in it.

For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOpenCL doesn't seem to work for me. I have it checked in prefs, have the latest drivers, and a GeForce GTX 660M. Yet when I run an iris blur filter, it's extremely slow, and only uses 1 CPU. Under System Info, it lists the video card and OpenCL 1.1.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6, and did the update to v13.04. Get a message with Save for Web: "The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred." There is a bug fix for v12 for exactly this, but CS5.5 (not sure which version of 12 it was) worked fine on this machine. On a Macbook 17 inch running OSX 10.7.5 with 8gig Ram and 2.5 Ghz I7.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Geforce 8600M GT in my Macbookpro 10.6.8 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Core with 4GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. I tried using it for 3D in PS6 but it doesn't seem to be 'enabled' and OpenGl unavailable. In the preferences in PS it states that graphics hardware unavailable and that I should upgrade my driver or card but on the adobe specifications for PS6 my card seems to comply and I can't find anything to update.

It seems like all your content works similarly too. the "Creative Cloud" app is something of a joke. Takes 2 minutes to load, andother minute or 3 to show info, and when an app needs an update, well, jsut look out. You're in for a long wait while adobe chugs along at 1980s connection speeds. (I am on a 24 down 7 up connection, there's no excuse)

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was working on a new file yesterday , and when I tried to switch to imageready it took too much time to do , but couldn't do So I saved the .psd file and then tried to directly open it in imageready cs2 then it said :
This file can't be directly edited in image ready ,switch to photoshop ?" and there was a button of switch !
So I thought maybe it's the file problem , So I opened a new document and tried to switch to imageready but the same problem ?
II am not able to start trial period of PS CS3, freshly downloaded and installed on clean Vista x64. It used to work but I reinstalled OS after SP1 and no success since. After clicking on 'I want to try for 30 days' I'm getting 'A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3'.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run it from Bridge or from Photoshop. Photoshop stitches the images but when the process is done the document closes, resulting in no image.
Purging the selection / folder cache in Bridge prior to merging doesn't help.
Resetting the PS preferences solves the problem but only temporarily. The issue appears again when you try to make up another panorama.
I tried it on 4 RAW shots. Then on another set of 6 RAW shots.

I just upgraded to a new computer setup and installed Photoshop CC and well..... I can't figure out how to manipulate paths like in CS6.
On the left is a what path manipulation with anchor points looks like in CS6 on my old slow iMac, and on the right is the new CC with direction selection on, but instead I can't manipulate paths. How can I get it to work like CS6? Also, I know about the isolating layers thing, but that still doesn't let me manipulate certain anchor points.
why Command + . isn't allowed in CC as a hotkey?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open an Image in Photoshop CC the image does not appear in my work space. The tab identifies that the image is opened, layers shows the image is open, however it is not on the screen. All tools, brushes etc work, but I can't see what they are doing. I can only see the image if i click the tab and move it around. Once my mouse lets go of the image window it dissapears again. After moving it around and such it gets buggy and the image crashes not Photoshop. i have attached two screen shots of my problem. the second with the image, i have my mouse clicked, held down holding onto the window to acheive this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave the latest Macbook Pro 17" with i7 processor, 8gm memory, all that stuff, running all updates on everything. I've run into a first for me. I updated the OS this evening to the newest update from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4.
Now Photoshop won't work. Gives the following on start up: "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
Used the whatever it is called downloader. After several hours and several attempts, it never finished and seemed to hang what I thought was near the end.So I chose to just do a straight download. After a couple of minutes, I have the Photoshop_12_1_LS1.dmg in my download folder. Moved it to the desktop. Tried to open. Gives me the following error: The following disk images couldn't be opened: Photoshop_12-1-LS1.dmg (reason) invalid checksum.
When I have a PSD file, and try to save it, It will now let me save it as an JPG, CS5 did. Even after flattening the image, I often find it does not work instead of saving it as JGP as wanted, it PS changes it to IMG.
I have just had the same trouble trying to save to PDF, PS changed the extension to JPF, I eventually found a work around, jut kept ging down the list of files, until PS decided to add the PDF extension I was after.
I have tried to completely remove CS6 and re install it, no difference.
I have 512MB ram, windows 7, 300gb+ free space, CS3 Worked but i updated to CS6 now it just gives this [URL]...error same with Bridge.

"Could not open a scratch file as the file is locked, it is not necessary to have access permissions or another program using the file. Use the command "Properties" in Windows Explorer to unlock the file" (translated from portuguese, not well writter even in portuguese...) other issue identified, the uninstal of CS6 Master Edition blocks the alteration on the Photoshop.
