My mouse pointer in Photoshop CS3 has changed to three little finger 'ghosts'. I know this indicates I'm in some special 'mode' but I just want to go back to normal. Whatever tool I choose, the pointer becomes three little 'whatever' ghosts.What is this mode and how do I get out of if?
View 1 RepliesI am on a Mac Pro with Magic Trackpad. Using Photoshop CS5, the cursor/pointer disappears after a while, and I have to switch to another application, then back to Photoshop to bring it back. The pointer does not disappear over the image window, just over the tool palettes, toolbar, menus, etc. This is a recent development, and I've only ever seen it in Mountain Lion. None of my previous systems exhibited this behavior.

This is just temporary since I only have to switch out of Photoshop and in again and the pointer is back, but since it happens often, it becomes really annoying...

The mouse pointer is lagging when hovering over the layers panel. This is seriously unnerving.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOn Civil3D 2007, at least on my machine, the mouse seems to move slowly when it is over the drawing space, but moves at normal speeds when over menu or toolbar items and when in other applications. It's almost as if the "resolution" of the mouse changes as soon as it is over the drawing area in Civil3D. The result is that the mouse/pointer falls behind a little bit when you move it, almost like it does when you use a remote computer over a slow network connection. This makes it difficult to have precise mouse movements.
I should also mention that I don't have this problem in any other applications, including Land Desktop 2006. Some hardware specifics: Dell, P4-HT 3.0GHz, XPpro machine, 2 gig of RAM, RADEON X600 256MB video card, single monitor, Logitech Mx500 mouse, all updates current.
I use a plug-in that prompt me for a keyword. In the 2012 version of AutoCAD I could press key down to get a drop down list on the mouse pointer with all the keywords, see attached image. In the 2014 version I don't get this choice, I only get the possibility to choose keyword from the command line at the bottom. Is the functionality with key down gone in the never versions or can I set a variable so it shows?

I am using Illustrator on a Wacom 24HD on a PC, which works quite well, except that as a right handed person, the tooltips, which appear to the right of the mouse cursor, are covered by my hand. Windows (and the Wacom settings) both have a left hand / right hand setting which control where a popup menu appears, however, I do not see anywhere where I can control where the tooltips appear, presumably because this is an Illustrator feature, not a Windows feature. Its particular important for this application because tooltips are used for information (such as size when dragging out new shapes), not just for beginners needing a reminder what a button means. To put the tooltips to the left of the cursor instead of the right?

Photo-PAINT fails to correctly determine the mouse pointer position.
No matter what you do, no matter which magnification level you're working in... any rectangle drawn is never put exactly where the mouse button was clicked or lifted.
(1) I've selected the image's edges while drawing a cropping rectangle. See the resulting cropping rectangle miss my selection for more than 3 pixels:

When I try to use a window zoom in a layout viewin model space my window offsets the the right and below the mouse pointer by a consideral distance. Window zoom works correctly in Model Space and in layout view in paper space. It is doing it in all of my drawings New or Old so I'm guessing its a global setting of some type.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't know if the section I'm posting this question in is certainly correct but I just can't figure out one thing that "my" GIMP used to possess years ago, while I was using it for the first time. And which doesn't seem to occur anymore after some more releases.
Now, to the point:
I'm using a WACOM Bamboo tablet and -- I need to make my core pointer use decent brushing parameters than my tablet rubber and stylus. The effect I'm seeking is to enable using my mouse pointer as a rubber with increased brush size comparing to the thin brush I'm using while drawing with the tablet. The brush size seems to be the same regardless of which tool I'm using at a time, and it stinks, because if I could use them in a decent way, my work would be way enhanced. I just need to know how to make those two mediums behave adversely.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI note that from time to time I can't see the counter and this is quite an annoyance. When the invisible pointer hover over or passes over an object, the latter will highlight as usual. I have to close and restart the drawing each time due to this issue. Is there an explanation for it, even a solution to prevent this from happening?
NOTE : This is limited to the drawing area only. I can see the pointer in the menu/toolbar area and outside autocad but not in the drawing area.
Using Civil 3D 2012, windows 7 pro 64, Radeon HD6970 video card.
The pointer flickers when in AutoCAD, especially when in menus, between the arrow and the arrow / waiting circle. Also does this flicker with the cross hairs and the waiting symbol when in the drawing window. Have all the drivers up to date no luck.
Have also tried multiple different pointing devices. Also have several instances where text will not move or allow to be modified until I save and restart the program.
How do you change the characteristic of the cursor from Hand (Move Tool) back to just being a pointer? This condition only exists in the Develope Module when my cursor is placed over the top of the photo. When I move it off the photo it returns to a pointer. In the Library Module it is always a pointer like I like it to be.

I can't find zoom settings in 3ds max 2013. Where they are? I think that in previous max it was in Customize -> Viewports tab. But now it is not there.
I decided to do the Creative Cloud thing. Installed Photoshop CC trial. Opened up a new document and tried to drag out a selection box ... and nothing. I can't drag my mouse. I can click on things. But dragging doesn't seem to work. Neither does right clicking.
So for example, I can't move layers. I can select them in the layers panel, but I can't drag them in the workspace. Same with sliders. I can select a location on a slider, but I can't grab the handle and slide it around. I've tried resetting preferences, restarting, and disabling graphic card acceleration.
I'm running Windows 7 x64. My mouse is a wireless Logitech that I haven't had any trouble with otherwise. I opened up paint and it can track me dragging my mouse around to paint (so it's not just a ****** mouse connection or anything).
I'm having severe mouse issues with all CS5 and CS6 products. The mouse will only do single click, and when pressing down on any of the mouse button, nothing functions. So, I'm only able to make a dot with any of the tools! I haven't had this much issues since I installed microsoft products.Also, there's no preference clear in this program, and I've tried the silly option + ctr+shift+ but it didnt work

My Logitech Performance MX mouse's left and right scroll does not work in PS CS6. It moves the slide bar, but the image does not follow. it just sits there. I have the latest updates for the SitePoint software. I am running Windows 8 and CS6 64 bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Wacom tablet and I've used it for about a year now.. and now that I mostly use my Laptop, I use the wacom tablet as a mouse pad (using the mouse that comes with it). I opened up photoshop today on my laptop and I was trying to erase some things using the brush command and it didn't work.. after an hour of panic and googleing I had the idea of using the pen.. which works.
I've deleted preferences, reset tools, and everything.. but its not working. No brush commands work (Clone, Brush, Eraser, etc.) but everything else will work.
I don't get it.. Is it something with pressure maybe?
Thats the only difference between mouse and pen.. pen adds pressure sensitivity.
I can't use the pen for pixel editing as well as I can use a mouse.
I have been a user of Corel since 5 (not X5, but the original 5). In CorelDRAW X6 my quick pan with the center mouse button isn't working. It works fine in Corel Paint, but not in DRAW.

One that I haven't found reported on this site is the problem related with the 3D mouse (3D connexion Space Navigator). I've been working with it beautifully with R2012-2013 but now that I started working on Inventor 2014 it stalls and stops working suddenly. It's so bad that I stopped using the 3D mouse entirely.

I uninstalled and re-installed the latest mouse drivers and checked that it's not the device malfunctioning. I also installed the Inventor update available on Autodesk site. No change...
My lot top mouse is not working no more with the zoom in and out command. I dont have and external mouse other than the one is install from factory on my lot top comp. It was working perfect, but i think i click something by mistake. I only learn enough to draw in cad but when it comes up to problems like this i do not know what to do. I was trying to copy a table with chairs from and other file and when i pasted to my drawing something happen so my mouse is not zooming in or out in my drawing .

When I hold down the wheel, it swipes over to my Mac dashboard. Also the delete button does not delete. I have to use the E command.

I have acad 13 installed on an asus laptop. I wanted to do some serious work last night so I plugged in the mouse to the usb port. Doing my usual quick clicking, anytime i was "inside the dwg" like say select or pick a point on the screen, i needed a second pick to do anything. Same with rt click for return. picking a menu item or dropdown or button works fine, "outside the dwg".
Noticed that a slow deliberate click seems to work.I reloaded the asus mouse driver, no dice.I took a 10 year logitech old mouse out, same problem.This problem does not occur using the pointing/click device built into the laptop.Is there something that is looking at the duration of my click in acad? in asus computer ?
