I have installed photoshop CS on a Dell Latitude e6520. The installation completes successfully and I was able to active the product via the telephone. However when I go to launch the product it get all the way to the work area and then when I attempt to click anyhwere in the application it says "Not Responding" and then closes the application.
I have updated the nVidia Driver thinking it maybe a grahphics driver issue but still no luck. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the product about a dozen times with no luck. What can I do to fix this problem.
Just got my Wacom draw tablet working with GIMP....but now I have a whole new set of issues GIMP will not respond to either the Wacom pen or mouse then stops responding to my main keyboard and main mouse ., lets me draw a little on one layer and then just stops working. Today when I tried to configure the tablet settings in the tool box it didn't read the tablet at all. And yes the tablet was plugged in. I think I am starting to hate GIMP.
I was working on a file this morning and saved it in .Ai format. This afternoon I came back to work on it again and now it won't open. Illustrator hangs, and then stops responding. Is there a way I can fix this?
This just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.
SDI is set to 0
Taskbar is set to 0
Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008. (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?
On my new Dell XPS 8500 Win 8 computer Photoshop CS6 keeps stopping working. I've tried both 64-bit and 32-bit versions and updated the video driver after phoning Dell. Also installed latest Adobe program updates. I keep getting the error message "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I try to run Photoshop.exe, but it doesn't respond. I get this error message. How to fix it? I have no idea where is a problem? I had no problems with it earlier.

is it possible for gimp to have those windows with text(small in layers) to keep same height-width..
its very annoying to make something in gimp with a lot of layers, they become small! too small, and then when i want to delete many layers, they stay small.
I'm not sure what I did to make this happen or how to change it back, but for some reason when I change the size of an object/line it changes the stroke weight as well. (For example, if I drew an ellipse with stroke weight 2 pt, and then increased the size the stroke weight would be 2.856 pt or some such number instead of 2 pt.) How to change this back?
I have CS6 and LR4.3 installed (for a while). I am not not able to Edit In LR4.3 4 photos that I wish to make into a panorama. CS6 will start to the first window and then locks (Not Responding). I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS6 and delete the preferences, all to no avail.
My photoshop cs2 program has been running very well for the past year or two. I have started saving files back and forth between cs3( at school) and cs2 (at home) for a school project. All the sudden, as I was painting a background to place in my project (magic wand>move tool) my cursor becomes an hourglass, all panels become blank, and at the top is says Photoshop (Not responding). This has happened 4 times now and I have lost my work each time.
I installed, registered, activated etc. Photoshop CS3 on my laptop today and when I went to start it up, it went to about the point where it said 'staring plug-ins...' and then I got the Program Not Responding message and it shut down, before I even got to open a file or even get to that page. I only had the blue blox with text and the grey background, then it shut down.
I can't open any files in photoshop CS3 I've tried from file-open and also from the source folder rightclick open with. No joy, even File New... brings up the new file options window but when I click ok nothing opens.
less than an hour after running the latest Adobe updates, Cocktail, Repair Permissions, reboot 10.7.5 dragging an 8bit background layer from a small .jpg to a simple 16bit 70MB layered file i got this for about four minutes waiting for it to generate a crash report, but it cleared in the meantime
as i've had no previous issues like this, i hope it is not something new..i also seem to have a problem with Color Settings changing, but that is before 13.0.2 (General Purpose 2 was set when i looked after this hang)
I have been running Photoshop CS2 on my computer for about a month now, the full version, activated and registered. For some reason whenever I open a file, Photoshop stops responding; all it does is make a sound ("dun") sound whenever I click on the Photoshop window. The only button that works is the minimize button; I have to use Windows Task Manager to close the program.
Does anyone have any ideas what's going on and how I can fix this?
I am trying to install Photoshop CS3. I am using Vista Home Premium. It appears the installation starts, but stalls and I end up with a "not responding" message.
I have CS2 with Windows. It has been working perfectly but just recently some of the keys will not respond eg F7 for the layers. Also when trying to put Text on an image the text shows as a line ---------- but shows what is written in the layers comp.
Very annoying as I cannot gauge properly what I want to do.I'm not sure if it is something I have maybe altered in the set up unbeknowingly.
I have just reinstalled Adobe Photoshop CS2. It appears to install okay. When you start it up it appears to start okay, the splash screen appears and goes through the start up, that disappears and the normal working page appears, but as soon as I click on any menu, tool etc. it goes blank with the top left corner of the working page showing Adobe Photoshop (not responding). I also tried a "repair" from the unistaller, but no joy.
For info:
I am working on a Dell Dimension 9150 I am running XP pro sp3. AV is AVG and firewall is Comodo. I have never been able to get PShop working on this computer, so I don't think it is a PShop problem. I have stacks of disk space, and 2Gb RAM.
I replaced an older HP Pavilion (Windows XP OS) with a new Pavilion with 64-bit Vista Home Premium. Photoshop CS3 seems to install okay, but when I launch the application I get a blank screen with a "not responding" message. I've tried re-installing, updating, etc., but still get the same results. Bridge opens up just fine.Since I read that CS4 has native 64-bit support, I thought I might have better luck with that. But I'd like to be sure before I open the upgrade software package.Any thoughts, or similar experience? Also, I would probably uninstall PS3 again before installing the update since CS3 doesn't launch anyway. I don't need CS3 to be on the computer, do I, as long as I have the serial number? Thanks for any help and/or suggestions. I'm looking forward to being able to use Photoshop again, especially on the new computer (8 gb memory, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, AMD Phenom X4 9650 Quad Core Processor).
The problem I have with my software is when it has finish loading and I open a new document, the cursor or arrow appears as the hand tool and no matter what other tool I try to choose it never changes. If choose to uses brushes it still remains as a hand tool. Whats up with that. I tried restoring to default settings and clearing history nothing happens.
I was turning a mov. file into a gif. When I was finished I went to save for web & devices and after it finished loading... the gif couldn't be seen but a coral pink box took the space. Then I get a message stateing that Adobe CS5.1 is not responding... Then it closes down the program. I'm able to make other gifs. Even ones with more frames. They all turn out to be fine. It's just this certain one I try to make that always ends up closeing down the program. The file size is 248MB and the gif I'm trying to make only needs 91 frames. I even used the same mov. file and made a different gif from it and it worked perfectly! I've tried reinstalling but that didn't fix anything.
Even when selecting a default brush my brush stroke is not at all similar to the shape (slowly widening and then tapering off 'ie default preset') even when shape dynamics is turned on, as you can see in the photo. I'm certain it's not due to my tablet, as the sensitivity works fine in other programs. I am currently using CS5.
I'm trying to reinstall Photoshop CS3 from disc. Everything looks like it installs smoothly, but when I try to launch PS, it just hangs with a grey background and finallly says "not responding". I've tried to hold down ctrl-alt-shift to get the preferences menu, but nothing ever pops up. I also looked in AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS3Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings but there are no files located in this dir.
When I activate liquify, there is no feedback in the editor/preview window. The blue OK button blinks as if its refeshing... but nothing ever happens---even if I wait for several minutes and even if its a simple lo res file. If I click OK, the effect is applied to the original image.
I have read other posts and tried deactivating "use graphics processor" but no change.
I have a 2010 12core macpro and the ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB
I cannot seem to find info on ATI mac drivers--assuming there is a needed update. But from what i understand, graphics drivers are included in the OSX installation and updates.
for no explicable reason PS3 has stopped responding to a variety of commands and particularly to 'print'. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both photoshop and the Epson printer software - all to no avail. Could the problem lie with the Operating system which is Windows Vista Home Premium and if so how should I best proceed ?
Does anyone else have a problem with the tools not responding in the tool pallette? I have a problem with my tools randomly not responding when I click on them. Specifically the replace color tool and the blur/sharpen tools. I purchased this upgrade of PS CS about three weeks ago and everything worked fine at first, now the tools pallette is giving me problems. I tried reloading the program again and changing the properties, but neither works. I have windows XP installed.
I have elements 5. I know its old but I hardly use it so im not ready to upgrade now. Im trying to use offset. It brings up needing to simplfiy so I do but once I get in to the area to change the numbers it freezes.
We have been using Lightroom 4.2 with our Canon camera for over a year. We uploaded some pictures on Friday and it worked as usual. We tried uploading pictures on Sunday and lightroom does not respond. We keep getting an error message stating "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit is not responding. If you close the program, you might lose information". Nothing changed with the camera settings or lightroom. After we couldn't get it to upload, we updated to lightroom 4.4, and it still doesn't work.
I have installed a new hard drive and reinstalled CS5 from CD. Now every time I try to download updates I get a message 'The Update server is not responding, please try again later'.
I want to upgrade to ACR 7.3. When I select help > updates, I get the message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect." I could update Lightroom to 4.3 flawlessly. I use Avast Antivirus, but when I disable Avast it doesn't work.
