Photoshop :: Cannot Update To Camera Raw 7.3 / Server Not Responding
Dec 15, 2012
I want to upgrade to ACR 7.3. When I select help > updates, I get the message: "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect." I could update Lightroom to 4.3 flawlessly. I use Avast Antivirus, but when I disable Avast it doesn't work.
I have installed a new hard drive and reinstalled CS5 from CD. Now every time I try to download updates I get a message 'The Update server is not responding, please try again later'.
Several features in Photoshop CS6 are greyed out for no reason I can tell, including Content-Aware Fill. I've noticed my Camera Raw plugin is outdated, but when I try to update it through Photoshop I always get the above message. Updates obtained directly from the Adobe website don't seem to include plugins. Is there a way to either make the server respond or obtain the updated plugin from another source? Am I even on the right track for enabling Content-Aware Fill?
I updated my CS5.1 to 64bit when I upgraded my OS to Win 7. Now when I check for updates I get an error message U41M1C212 - server isn't responding. I checked firewalls and IE settings - both seem ok. I downloaded the latest update plugin but I get a message that mine is newer (and bigger) than it.
When transfering images from Lightroom to Photoshop HDR for instance. message says update Camera Raw. Update attempts all come back to 'update server is not in service' --
I just upgraded Lion to Mountain Lion. After that the license server wont start. I opened a case on the suscription page but it is weekend and I think wont get support. Really need to use Smoke over the weekend.

When clicking on PS6 Help>updates I get this response : The update server is not responding. The server may be offline or the internet or firewall settings may be incorrect.
How can I download the Camera Raw 8.2 update? I'm using a Windows 7-64bit machine.
I tried downloading the CR 7.1 update which came to me as a zip file. But when I try to open it, there are a number of various files, none of which are an .exe file. which file do I use and what folder do I insert this file into? Shouldn't it automatically open and load in the correct folder?I'm not a programmer, just a user.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.
I recently bought a cuple of canon600d's upgrading from 450's, my photoshop CS5 does not recognise the raw format. Adobe server is offline or unavailable to enabe me to download update/ I have downloaded a trial version of CS6 and of course raw works perfectly. The Adobe server has not benn able to open for about 3 weeks now. I turn off my firewall settings beforehand.
This has been hit and miss. I am now consistenly getting a dynamic link server connection trying to use Track camera in After Effects.
64GB RAN Windows 7 proffesional i7 processor NVIDIA GEFORCE TITAN
I have enabled all the recommended programs through my firewall. I see the dynamiclink server is running in my task manager, I have closed all other programs, no antivirus, I have restarted my computer, no luck with this.
Also to add additional information:
It seems that when I try to do replace with After Effects composition in Premiere Pro I am getting error: The importer reported a generic error
and also when I first launch After effects I am getting a failure to load a few plugins from CineForm including importer
i have cs6 and tried to update camer raw to 7.4. DNG was downloaded but camera raw stayed at 7.0. Also the option for updating through photoshop will not work as window comes up saying server error. i closed my virus protector but same response.
I have a fully licensed version of CS6, along with LR 4.x. LR updated to Camera Raw 7.2 about a week ago. PS CS6 (extended 64) will not find the update. It is a pain in my sitter every time I go to edit a photo to see a warning.
I do not want to hide the warning though. I want the update. Adobe has about an hour wait time for technical support. A reinstall is not something I would like to do.
Trying to upload camera raw update for photoshop CS5 and the installer asks me to close the Bridge, I do this and press continue and the installer asks me to close bridge again, even though its closed...Need this update to recognise my a65 camera.
Does your new update for Camera Raw 7.1 read the raw files for the Nikon D600 camera? I have updated to CS6 and Lightroom 4.3 and I still am having trouble getting the raw files read. What can I do?
Did the auto update of Camera Raw 7.2 to Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.2 now the color is green and flat in all images after I save them. I do use a Nikon Camera profile and lens correction. Everything was working fine until the 7.2 update. Now the only way to save correctly is to Save for Web. Where do I match the color/profiles?
i want to up date camera raw on CS 3 basis so that I can se the images from a NIKON d 800. What do I have to do and is it possible? how higt must the screen resolution be so that I can work it well...do I have to buy update and new hardware?
I use Photoshop CC and when I check the RAW plugin it's on 8.0.I have Bridge CS6 which allows to update Photoshop CS6 only with ACR 8.1.I've also downloaded the file manually and when I install it, it will not update the ACR of Photoshop CC to 8.1.
I just bought the new Canon 5d Mark ll. I bought CS4 at home, but only have CS3 at work and now I can't use it anymore?? They are making you buy CS4 now just because of the raw update? Is there no way to view the files from my new camera in CS3 The update says it will only work in CS4.
I am trying to update to Camera Raw 6.7.1 in CS5. I downloaded form this link:
[URL].........
However, after download and unzip the folder says it is the update for version 7.1 which will not work for CS5. Need a link to download the update to version 6.7.1.
Using Macbook Pro with CS5 Photoshop and Lightroom 5. Importing photo from LR to PS was told to update PS Camera Raw plugin to 8.2 . Used download for Raw/DNG 8.2 and went through the steps to download successful. When I check the plugin status on PS it is still on ver. 6.7.1.399.
I am running Mac OS 10.6.3 and Photoshop CS 5.When I go to the Adobe application software updates manager it says update failed..Is there a known issue with these versions? Also, where can I see what my latest camera raw update that has been installed?
It said there were updates in PSE 10 (help/updates) for Application Manager and Camera Raw. I let it install both, I rebooted, and the ACR says 6.7 and not 7.3. It will not read my Canon 6D RAW files. When I check help/updates again, it says everything is up to date.
Everytime I try to install a camera raw update it (I need it to be able to see my images in bridge, etc.) I get completely through the installation process only to receive an "installation failed" message. how to get around this?.
