After you edit an image in any version of PSE and save it for the web a box pops up that wants to know if you want to save it before closing (already saved once). I often have 65 files open and edited and don't want to agree to not saving for every one. How to close them all at once short of turning off the computer?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI having trouble with closing documents and even quitting Photoshop CC. I tried the menu, shortcuts and the close button on the document frame.
Photoshop reacts to the shortcut by marking "file"/"Photoshop" in the menu when i push command+w or commmand+q but nothing happens.
I have to force quit photoshop each time. All other buttons work exept when i try to delete history states in the history panel. Nothing happens when pushing the "delete current state" button.
when i'm going to print may files with 36 layers, corel x5 will close and nothing happen in printing.
note: the file is edited in corel x3 but the printing will done in x5.
To print all open windows in Illustrator CS5 (or illustrator files in a folder) then close the files.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've 2 FDO Layer (polygon). Layer1 contains zoning and Layer2 contains small area. The goal is to merge all polygons (1 or more) of Layer2 into only 1 polygon in each zone of Layer1.
I can do an FDO Overlay (Identity) to copy ID of zone to Layer2, but I don't know (except manually) how to merge polygons with 1 common information.
I would like to create a border that looks at the sheet number and then zones the horizontal borders in a continuous numbering scheme.
Sheet 1 = 1-8
Sheet 2= 9-16
etc...
This is a requirement that we have to meet with some customers. When drawings get to 30+sheets it becomes a pain to manually renumber the zones.
I would imagine this is done in VB code, but I have not programmed in a very long time. The formula would be something simple like;
if sheetnumber >1 then
for i =1 to 8
zone(i)i.value = zone(i).value +8
next i
end if
I am delving into the world of Display Themes in autocad architecture for the first time. What I am trying to do is apply a display them to a viewport that colour all spaces according to the zone to which they are attached.
I have made a generic space which I have used for all rooms. I have attached those spaces to various zones (i.e. Accounting and Finance, Engineering, Facilities etc.)
I am now trying to create a display theme that will color each zone accordingly. I am trying to do this by setting each theme rule to be;
propertyset definition = zone, property = name, condition = equal to, value = Accounting and Finance (etc.), operator = and.
I do this and nothing happens to the spaces. I have tried experimenting with other property sets attached to the spaces and different properties (ie space base area etc) and it works fine. So i'm pretty sure its just a case of finding the correct zone property to work with.
I'm having a problem with a Zone Border. I created the Zone Border like normal. I edited the appearance of the 'ABCD1234' text slightly:
- changed to center and middle justification.
- changed width to 120%
- changed color to black
The edits to 'ABCD' took effect and look just right. The edits to '1234' don't stay edited. I save the sketch, it looks okay, then when I add it to Sheet:1, the numbers have gone back to blue and lost the width and justification edits. But the letters are fine. What the heck is going on?
When working in Inventor within a Vault environment, you have a check box on the "Check In" dialogue box for "Close files and delete working copies" that once selected, it stays selected until the user unchecks the box.
(see below)
Not so when working with AutoCAD....why?
Why is it that every time a user checks a file into Vault from ACAD, they have to check that box?
There has got to be a seting somewhere that this check box stays selected. Why isn't this a default? How to "lock" that down?
Is there a variable I can pull to get the coordinate system zone assigned to the drawing? Â For instance, if my drawing is in UTM coordinates, zone 13, is there a (retrievable) variable set to "UTM27-13"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use RocTek for cut/fil calculations, but the program is old and basic, I'm trying to transition to Civil 3D 2012 right now. Typically I create "no work zones" around my building footprints, so that I can do a more detailed take-off in those areas for over-excavations and that sort of thing. Right now I'm using Civil 3D to create an existing surface, a proposed surface, and then a volume from between the two. I thought if I just traced my proposed contours over the existing within the building footprint that I would get what I was looking for. However, analysis of the cut/fill volume shows that there are still some changes being made around the edges of the building.
Is there a specific way to make a proposed surface, but leave parts of the existing surface untouched?
See attached photo. The upper middle portion of the screen is where the building is (forgot to turn on layer).

I am hatching (a very quick sketch for info) but the hatch lines are going across the ploy line zone.
What happening. I cannot snap to these, but if in put a selection window acorss an of the lines, it will select the hatch.
I dont want to see these and dont want to have to hatch indivual rectangles. Never seen this before.
I cannot see anythign obvious in any of the settings.
How do I get the zone borders to number horizontally.
Sheet1 1-8
Sheet2 9-16
Sheet3 17-24
I often have an issue when trying to move an object on a layer crowded zone.
I select the right layer through the layer dock. But when I try to move my object, some auto selecter is probably ON and it selects another layer (that probably was right under my mouse) Any way I could disable that ?
When I used to use photoshop that was an easy obvious option "AutoSelect Layer" I don't get it how to do this in gimp
i need to export/retrive the Informations from "Space-Zone manager".
i can see the informations of surfaces and the openings in "Space/Zone manager", but no way to export or to extract them. the informations  are also no "property set" information, which could be managed with schedules.
When Daylight Savings did its change this spring I started having problems saving files in Illustrator. I will go to save files, mainly .eps format, and it crashes Illustrator. I have changed my time zone to a zone that has not switched yet due to Daylight savings, and it works. Unfortunately as I find a new time zone, it also ends up hitting Daylight Savings, and I am back to square one. I have been searching both the Adobe site and the Windows site to find an answer to my problem, but am having no luck.
Â
My proper time zone is
Â
(UTC-07:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada)
Â
I have even tried using Saskatchewan as they do not follow Daylight Savings, but it also creates crashes. I have tried many other time zones, the two that have worked so far are
Â
(UTC-06:00) Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey (worked for a little while but a time change a few weeks later messed it up)
(UTC) Casablanca (working on this time zone now, but an alert on my computer says time change coming up on the 28th)
Â
I feel like I am running out of time, as I am not sure how many more time zones will work.
I have been trying to figure out if I can make capture time changes to adjust for time zone errors or the daylight saving time mistakes where the capture time in the Metadata panel is off by 1 hour or so, and then have these adjustments saved permanently to the original files (master photos). This works for JPEG files and it also works for DNG files (after converting from CR2 to DNG). But it doesn't seem to work for CR2 files directly. If I used the "Save Metadata to file" option from the Metadata menu I might just get sidecar XMP files.
Â
Then I found this option "write date or time changes into proprietary raw files" in the Catalog Settings. This seems about right. But what does it do? I tried enabling that, created a new catalog and then imported some new CR2 files. I then changed the captured time and tried the Save Metadata to file option. It still spits out these sidecar files. It doesn't actually write this to the CR2 files.
Or does it? Perhaps I am not seeing it in Windows Explorer? Like IPTC vs. EXIF? I'm not sure Windows reads both. These are like different types or sections of metadata information about a file. So I just wonder what the benefit or consequence is of having this option enabled? Whatever it is, it is not very apparent. And as you can see from the screenshots above the capture time has not changed (not been saved) when you look at the file in Windows Explorer. Any changes are held in the XMP sidecar. Even thou I have enabled this EXIF option in Catalog Settings.
When I try to load updates, I am informed that I must close cs5.5 bridge. I then do so. I then try to load but am informed that cs5.5 bridge needs to be closed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy photoshop 6 has just started locking-up and not letting me close the program.
I have reinstalled photoshop.
I purchased and installed the Adobe design premium CS3.
Photoshop usually close sudently without saving files.
the close-up tool, which by default used a (+) sign to amplify detail, switched to a (-) sign to show detail further away from the viewer. That's the magnifyin glass icon. It must have happened when using the Alt key.
But the (-) mode became permanent and there was no way to change it back to (+), even after re-setting tools, and even after uninstall re-install.
It took uninstall and deleted a subdirectory and its contents, where P.S. stores user parameters, that it installed as (+) which is the default mode.
I've just upgraded Creative Suite CS4 from CS2. But now, wen i launch Photoshop for the first time, it's running normally. But if i want to close it, it seems to be closed, but a photoshop process is still remaining in memory and i cant launchPhotoshop until a kill the first process. The computer is Intel Core Duo based with 2 Gb memory and an ATI 3450 512 Mb vga card.

I have been using the filter with out any problems at all up untill now.Today when I try to open it, all it does is flash up for a second and then close. It doesn't give me any error messages it just flickers and closes.

Photoshop doesn't crash, the other filters all work. Also I noticed in the filter drop down menu that the oil painting doesn't have a shortcut next to it like the others, and I cannot remember if it had one before or is suppossed to have one.
